The lone goblin's scream is cut off by a sword to the head and an arrow to the chest. It drops the the floor with a thud. An empty jug tumbles out of its arms and rolls to the side; a dagger at its waist glints in the dim light of the hallway.
Chiro slips past the curtain and finds the hallway continues south, leading to two doors. The south door is reinforced and opens towards you. The door to the west looks more like the other interior doors you've seen, made of just wood and opening away from you.
A crash of wood on stone comes from the room to the southwest, followed by a rush of light footsteps towards the door. Chiro hears it most clearly, but it is audible from the central hallway.
At the same time, from behind the door to the east, a deep shout in Common, "What the heck? I told you to buzz off, you yeti!" and a quieter, "You two stay here," in Goblin. The door handle creaks as it begins to turn.
A DC 10 Intelligence or Charisma (Nature) check (no action required) reveals:
The speaker is a Hobgoblin. Unlike rascally goblins and oafish bugbears, these goblinoids are generally known to be disciplined warriors.
Vasha reaches invisibly under the curtain and grabs the goblin corpse, tossing it (to the north) effortlessly over the heads of the smaller folk behind him. (Athletics 21)
The dust of disappearance affects all creatures within 10 ft. of the user. Under Chase's current order of activities, the whole party will be affected.
I need a 2d4 roll to determine how long the invisibility lasts.
At the sounds or more monsters, Dunkin is briefly surprised when he looks down and can't see his own hands. As they fade out, he catches a smirk from Chase. Realizing the advantage he's been given he moves south, past the curtain, and to the Southwest door to look for traps. He picks up a stone as he goes.
OOC:
Perception 18 (Not sure if this counts as a search action. If so, then belay the ready action below.)
Ready Magic Stone should a monster exit the Southwest door
Doldek moves south next to Chiro. He telepathically commands the bat to hide and then reaches into his pocket, finding the blue gem they discovered in the Goblin hideout.
The entire party vanishes. Aside from a few small bloodstains and the absence of the goblin and the Quaggoth, there is no sign you were ever here, let alone still present.
Dunkin approaches the south doors. He can hear the monsters coming as he scans the area for traps. He sees no artificial traps, but a section of stone on the west wall of the hallway seems to be on the verge of collapse. The southwest door swings open and a line of goblins pour out. Dunkin and Doldek can see at least four of them and can hear phrases in Goblin such as, "What was that?" and, "I don't know, stupid, a scream?" As the goblins run into the hallway, Doldek and Dunkin have a chance to avoid them.
A DC 15 Dexterity (Stealth) check allows Dunkin and Doldek to avoid the goblins without their noticing him. This can leave him by the south door, by the curtain, or pressed against the east wall of the hallway. Chiro goes unnoticed unless it does something noticeable. On a failed check:
A goblin reaches out and gropes at you, momentarily confused. "There's something very strange here," it exclaims.
Back in the central hallway, John and Vasha hear the east door pull open, revealing a hobgoblin. It paces forward cautiously, apparently headed towards the center of the hallway. Chase and Nyli can also see the hobgoblin, being able to look straight through John and Vasha. The hobgoblin's face is a mix of uncertainty, concern, and irritation as its eyes scan the area for the source of the screaming. "Who's there?" it calls out in Common. Switching to Goblin, "Eight-Toes, was that you screaming? Are you alright? If this is a joke, it's not funny."
A DC 5 Dexterity (Stealth) check allows John and Vasha to move out of the hobgoblin's way without alerting it to their presence. They can move towards Chase and Nyli; Vasha could instead go one square south. On a failed check:
Hobgoblin F immediately draws its sword and stabs blindly in front of it.
OOC:
Attack (longsword) --> 19 to hit Vasha (or John if Vasha succeeds and John fails the stealth check) for 3 slashing damage.
Monsters Round 1:
Goblin F (Goblin) 12/12 HP: Group perception check --> 15

OOC:
It's now Round 2 and your turn. None of the stealth checks I called for this round requires an Action on your part.
Round 1 Reaction: If you're activating a readied action, please indicate it like this.
@H20_Keeper: Magic Stone has a casting time of one bonus action and so cannot be readied. Readying a spell would also break Dunkin's invisibility. I believe Dunkin has one stone left from his last casting (assuming he cast it on the maximum number of pebbles then), so he could have readied an action to throw or sling that one. In this case, however, the perception check will take his Round 1 Action as mentioned in the parenthetical of Post 492.
Map:
The hobgoblin's intended path is marked in red. The unstable section of wall is marked in orange.
Doldek and Dunkin may be anywhere south of the curtain where the goblins are not. Their current locations are what I thought would be most likely.
As the goblins pour out of the southwestern door, Dunkin involuntarily takes a step back despite being invisible. Unfortunately, his boots scuff a stone and he feels a goblin hand grabbing his lapel (presumably Goblin 'F').
"Ah, t'heck with it," he says at the feeling of claws on his tunic. Knowing invisibility won't help him now, and having one Magic Stone left, he flings it with his hand directly at Goblin 'F's head.
OOC:
Round 1 Stealth check 4
Round 1 Bonus action Magic Stone 10 to hit, 6 damage
Nyli is unable to get a clear shot at the hobgoblin so turns her attention to Goblin G instead, shooting an arrow at it. The arrow takes it in the throat, and it drops like a stone, gurgling as its life fades.

Chase seeing Vasha's sword bite into the Hobgoblin, casts heroism on Vasha. Then with the voice of authority, "Vasha backswing at the legs too!" granting a free attack for the cost of a reaction.
