From the depths of the shadows beyond the group with no other warning, vibrant motes of light streak through.

just an unstable unicorn.
Round 3 (con't): (Map)
Zyllynne joins Katarina to fight the red spawn, landing two hard hits on the creature, which is looking pretty beat up.
Vesta maneuvers around the melee to unleash a cone of fire on the green vampire.
Vanizi and Vesta combine to bring the green vampire spawn down, leaving just the red one!
Davis epically fails on his first swing, but connects with his second, continuing to hack away at the undead creature.
Eldon sends a guiding bolt of sacred energy towards the last vampire spawn (Attack: 25 Radiant damage: 33. If this hits, then either Katarine or Celeste has advantage on one attack roll!)
Katarina
Celeste strikes from the shadows with vibrant motes of light, but unfortunately, both attacks just miss the vampire.

Eldon's guiding bolt causes the final vampire spawn to shrivel out of existence - and the eerie quiet returns to the graveyard! (Combat over!) Each vampire spawn has a small belt pouch where they carry items from their previous life as mementos or treasure. In all, you find 59 gold coins, an amulet with a dark shard of crystal attached, and a desiccated but preserved eyeball!
The entrance to the tomb isn’t locked. It opens onto a small room containing a steep spiral staircase leading 20 feet downward. When you proceed down, you see:
The steps end in the western wall of a large burial chamber, 60' long and 20' wide. Upright slabs are set into the walls, and each slab is carved with the faded likeness of a different robed human above indecipherable writing. One of these slabs is blank but has a piece of paper stuck to it.

Vesta picks up the desiccated eyeball, frowning at it. She senses that it is magical but isn't sure of the purpose. "Can anyone identify the purpose of these objects?" she asks the group, pointing to the amulet as well.
Next she walks down into the burial chamber, looking at the different slabs. One of the slabs is blank but there's a paper stuck to it. The sorceress approaches the slab and grabs the paper, looking to see if there is anything written on it.

"I have no way to identify it quickly," Davis says, "only the standard way of spending some time with it. How is everyone's health after those spawn? I have a little bit of healing left if anyone is banged up?"
(I'll let the group have a chance to respond before I post about what Vesta experiences ion the area below =)
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
Zyl flutters along after the others. "I'm good! We got them pretty quick this time! Still icky though. And no, that's a gross eyeball thing. Reminds me of the one we found ages ago, but what it's doing here...probably opens a door again or something." Zyl shrugged and looked over at Vesta with the note. "What's it say?"
"I'm doing ok," Vanizi says. "We should probably just gather up the items we found, and we'll figure out what to do with them once we get somewhere to take a rest."

Davis will grab the 42 gp just so its recorded, shared to anyone who needs it of course. Vesta has the eyeball.
(Updated map) The party descends the spiral stairs about 20' and emerges at the western wall of a large, stone burial chamber, 60' long and 20' wide. It is completely dark, and you feel a sense of unending isolation here. Upright slabs are set into the walls, and each slab is carved with the faded likeness of a different robed human above indecipherable writing. One of these slabs is blank but has a piece of paper stuck to it. Vesta approaches the slab and looks at the paper, seeing “Newmy’s Room” written on it in Common. A moment later, a ghost pops out of the slab sputtering apologies. She is not quite five feet tall, with frizzy blue hair and pale skin shot through with blue veins.
"Oh my, visitors! I am so sorry that I didn't clean a bit more. If I had known you were coming...But I forget my manners... I am Newmy," the ghost says. She snaps her fingers, and candles set throughout the crypt light up, and then she makes a brushing motion with her hand and the see small piles of dust moving to a corner as if they are being swept. An arcane magic user would recognize the simple Prestidigitation cantrip. "Welcome to the Dolinar family crypt. What brings you here today?"

Vesta takes a step back, startled. "Oh, hello," she says. "We didn't mean to disturb you. We're looking for something, a way that leads out of the Shadowfell. Do you know where that is?"

"A ghost, host? Fantastic. Okay look, we don't know why we're here or why, but we keep running into creepy cultists, dead things, eyeballs and, well, ghosts, apparently. No offense, but your crypt wasn't exactly on our to-do list today. We, or at least, -I- just want to get back home. We're here to try and do that I believe. But if you help us, I'd be glad to tell some really cool story about you when I get back!" Zyl grins at the ghost. (not, grim grinning ghost...*ahem*)
"Um, very nice to meet you?" Vanizi says, a little skeptically, as this ghost seems to give them a friendly greeting. "As the others said, we were told we could find a way back to Neverwinter here."

Davis remains quiet for now, the others seemed to respond to our needs. Though the ghost appears 'friendly', he doesn't trust anything undead.
Newmy smiles and enjoys the chance to talk with you! "Oh, the Dolindars hired me to keep their tomb clean shortly after it was built and paid me several lifetimes worth of wages - in full and up-front! That was more years ago than I can remember. So, when died, I felt like I owed them my services for as long as I was contracted. That's why I'm still here. I don't know anything about how you might get to your eternal summer home, but I do remember some “puzzle buttons” deeper in the tomb. Maybe they lead somewhere special?"
At the eastern end of the long crypt, you now see heavy stone doors in the north and south wall.
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
"Would you know the best path to get to these puzzle buttons?" Vanizi asks. "We'd hate to disturb the Dolindars. We really hope to just pass through." She makes a show for a moment of looking around the room they are in. "You are doing a great job keeping the place clean though. Very nice!"

Newmy beams at Vanizi's compliment. "Thank you, mi'lady! I wish I could help, but I don't go through the doors at the end of the hall anymore. The Dolindars buried down there aren’t resting right and I'm afraid of them. I haven’t been that way in almost a hundred years - I'm sorry that I don’t clearly remember what’s down there anymore."
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
"That's all right, Newmy. You've been very helpful," says Vesta, smiling at the ghost. "You've clearly done a good job serving the Dolindars. By not resting right, do you mean they are undead?"

Newmy frowns as she considers Vesta's question. "Not like zombies or vampires, but alone and lost. The Dolindars were all lonely, and there weren’t many of them. They didn’t like Evernight but couldn’t leave it for some reason. Sorry I can't be more helpful - I hope that you find what you're looking for..."

"Perhaps your duties in cleaning this tomb are completed, perhaps you should think about moving on, and rest right?" the paladin asks her.
