Charisma Save - 25

Vesta clutches at her head as the wave of psychic damage crashes through her mind. "That was...unpleasant," she mutters, although she didn't get the worst of it like poor Zyl did.

She approaches the mechanism. "Does anyone have thieves' tools? Or even just a pick of some sort? I can try to..."

The sorcerer begins fiddling with the mechanism, hoping that it doesn't trigger another blast of psychic damage.

Sleight of Hand - 22

(Vesta is not proficient in thieves' tools though. I don't think any of us are.)

"I could just try smashing it with my sword," Vanizi offers.  She quickly unsheaths her greatsword and looks eager to try. "I've got a crowbar too, maybe we could just pry it all apart?" 

"I have a crowbar too, perhaps we can work together to try and pry it."

[Davis has a higher strength then you, shall he try and open with your help?]

Vanizi looks a tiny bit disappointed to not get to smash something, but she sheathes her greatsword with a nod towards Davis. "Alright. I will help you out with the crowbar."  

(She will give help to Davis.  Though I'd think we'd see how Vesta's attempt went first.)

(Celeste has the tools...note to self - somebody needs to invest in lockpicks!) Vesta manages to manipulate the mechanism and cause the door to slide into the wall, opening up to the final chamber in this crypt. On the far side of this 35'x40' room rests a stone coffin. Between the door and the coffin, the floor is studded with a sharp metal blades. A person-shaped figure with elongated arms lurks near the coffin. Hearing the door open, it turns its glaring face towards you and shrieks! (Roll Initiative for the final fight!)

Eldon looks in and sees the creature, exclaiming with a scientifically curiosity, "That's a Sorrosworn! The Shadowfell’s pervasive melancholy sometimes gives rise to strange incarnations of the plane’s bleak nature. These sorrowsworn, or the 'Lonely,' personify different aspects of despair or distress and visit horror on those who stumble into their midst - like us!"

"Oh dear," Vesta exclaims. "Should have expected something on the other side of the door."

"AAAAAH!!!" Zyl screams and flutters about.

"I'd rather it keep its horrors to itself!" Zanizi says as they spot the creature. 

Eldon responds to Davis' query. "They are not really undead creatures...they are better classified as monstrosities..."

"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Zyl screams and flies toward the monstrosity, going into her fairy rage, crackling with electric energy as she flies over the spikes. (just north of the monster)

Bonus Action: RAGE! (lightning damage)

Action: Attack!

Attack 1: NAT 20! 20 crit damage + 6 (elemental cleaver) + 3 (rage bonus) = 29 lightning damage

Attack 2: 17 to hit; 13 damage + 6 (elemental cleaver) + 3 (rage bonus) = 22 lightning damage

Vanizi is really not interested in traversing all the blades.  She stays put on the far side of the room.  First, she moves her Hex onto the creature.  Then from there she casts Eldritch Blast, sending two beams of energy at it. 
(Spell Attack: 15, Damage: 6 force)
(Spell Attack: 30, Damage: 12 force) 
(Hex damage: 4 necrotic if one of the above hits)

• Vanizi (18) shifts her hex to the creature and pew pews her eldritch energy at it, missing the first but hitting with the second bolt.

Vesta raises her Staff of Power and points it at the creature. She unleashes a Hold Monster at it, attempting to entwine the creature in magical chains so that it cannot move. 

(It must succeed on a WIS saving throw of 19 or be paralyzed.)

Thrixi simply hovers close to Vanizi for now.

Davis will use his bonus action to Misty Step over the spiked ground next to the Sorrowsworm and attack...
