"Very well. I believe we are set to go than?" Jenson will look around for a general idea on if everyone is ready.
{[Fellow players, please like this message if you are ready to leave. I figure once we reach 7 likes, we should be safe to head off. Other wise, I guess just say something in game. Sorry, don't mean to like take control XD. I just feel like we can go on for while and never actually leave.]}
So, I've been thinking, more than likely they'll have a team watching the road readying an ambush. Easy prey and easy to pull off. We know the direction we need to go, what if we go overland? Staying off the road. May put us in position to get behind that team and possibility give us some element of surprise should we come across a patrol. Thing to keep in mind is that these are pack hunters. We'll not catch one or two out alone. If you see just one or two then keep your eyes open for more.
"Off-road seems like a decent plan." says Bombil. "And if we want to distract them, I could throw some noise to get them thinking we're elsewhere, though I'm not sure if they'd already smell us by the time that's useful."
Jasmine nods. "Going off round sounds a logical enough plan. Any advantage we can get, we should take. I can weaken them afar with magic and then hold the front-line if and when they reach us."
"Well," Jenson speaks up slightly hesitantly, since he's not positive of what he's saying. "I'm not all familiar with this magic stuff, so I may be way off, but is there nothing anybody could do to disguise our scent, or make it seem like it's coming from somewhere else? but either way, I agree. Off roading is certainly the better option."
”Scouts 30-60 feet ahead, melee types next casters and ranged at the rear? Sounds okay, off-the-beaten path is also a good idea.” Saradie and her retainers are packed and ready whenever the rest of the party is good to go.
Think on Jenson's words, Rob tries to recall anything he may have heard from hunters in his village about masking scent, nature rolled a nat, wait for it...one. oh look, a squirrel!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eibed will move to the front of the party and begin moving through the forest as quietly as possible (stealth: 27). As he moves through the forest, he will keep an eye out for any signs of the gnolls (perception: 10).
Before the stealth party leaves, Jasmine will tell them, "If you are caught, try to alert the rest of us and flee." Outside the stealthy guys, she would take her place with the front-liners of the party. (Or just be in the front if there are no other front-liners)
As you all advance in this way with those of you scouting being about 60 feet ahead of the main group you all start to spread out slightly. Eibed your keen eyes manage to pick up that the grass in seems to have become pressed into the dirt suggesting that a party, though probably not a large one from what you can tell, have been coming through this way. something on the grass catches your eye though your immediately distracted by the bumbling of Jenson as he seems to step on a twig or stick every other step.

Very well. Jenson will follow. Stealth is sadly an 8. Perception is 7. not my day. yikes.

Rob loads a bolt into his crossbow and keeps it at the ready, and bring up the rear, perception 11
Altara will move in the rear group. Although she carries a mace, she's not very good at it, being much better with spells, especially support spells.
Saradie sends her retainers to the back and walks alongside Jasmine. Scalemail shield and mace at the ready…
Bombil takes a place in the rear with Altara and Rob.

Eibed will turn and glare at Jenson because of the noise he is making. He will then turn back and see what it was in the grass that caught his eye.
