As the acidic sludge splashes onto her arm (DEX save 7, Concentration 10, she is at 11/15 HP), B'Reh winces, a sharp sting reminding her of the risks she just took. She adjusts her grip on her spear, glancing at the faint marks where the acid bit into her feathers. Brynlee's comment resonates deeply, and B'Reh exhales sharply, her frustration evident. “A foolish move on my part,” she admits, her tone calm but laced with self-reproach. “Engaging these creatures in melee... reckless. The signs were clear—acid, stickiness—yet I ignored them.” She pauses, looking at the others with a touch of humility. “Let this be a lesson for us all. Caution must guide us in these caverns. Next time, I'll keep my distance, as we should have from the start.”Straightening herself, she adjusts her shield and steps back to observe the aftermath of the battle, silently vowing to rely more on her training and foresight moving forward.

Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
[[ You were still one short so I went ahead and rolled it for you. With bless, all three passed so Aric took no extra damage in that combat besides getting hit. Also went ahead and rolled Vira's, she passed so no acid damage from the melee attack last round. ]]
"Don't be too hard on yourself B'Reh. Yes, we should be careful, but we fought the first acid slimes from a distance, so there was no real way of knowing that attacking them up close was dangerous until someone got injured trying it. That just happened to be you, unfortunately." Brynlee tucks her crystal back into her robes, beginning to examine the chamber more closely now that the threats have been eliminated.
Apart from the faintly glowing pools, the main feature of the chamber seems to be three exit tunnels spaced unevenly around the chamber, not including the one that leads back towards the collapsing tunnel. The first is a roughly 15 foot tall and 5 foot wide opening on the left wall. The second is a 15 foot tall and 10 foot wide exit almost directly across from the entrance tunnel. The final exit is smaller, only about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide, meaning that Vira and B'Reh would have to squeeze slightly to fit through the opening. The first and third tunnels fade into darkness beyond where the two strig can see, and the second appears to have a curve to the right about 60 feet in.
B'Reh crouches by the small tunnel, convinced that if Kenna had passed through, the confined space would surely bear evidence of her passage. She leans in to inspect the ground but accidentally brushes her spear against the wall, dislodging a small shower of dirt and moss that obscures the very area she was studying (Survival 7, incl. 3 from Guidance, but it was a natural 1 in the actual roll). Frowning, she steps back and mutters, "If there were tracks, I may have just buried them," her voice tinged with frustration at her own clumsiness. "Perhaps someone else might have better luck."

Brynlee examines the ground as well. Seeing that her companions had no luck looking for signs of Kenna, she eyes the sticky slime trail she'd gotten caught in. Looking at the entrances, she notices a couple of similarly colored, though much drier and less sticky, trails leading into the third tunnel (19 survival). "If we can't find any signs of Kenna, maybe we follow a different kind of trail? She wouldn't have been able to fight these slimes off herself, but may have been able to outrun them down this tunnel." She pauses for a moment, eyeing Aric and B'Reh's injuries. "Maybe we should explore the other tunnels first though, and look for somewhere to rest for a bit? This cavern feels a bit too open to risk stopping, but if we can find somewhere more closed off, it could be helpful in a later fight to be at our best."
B'Reh dusts off her hands, still frustrated from her failed search, and glances at the tunnels. "I’d prefer to spend as little time as possible in these caves," she says, her tone firm but calm. "If we need a short rest to gather our strength, fine, but anything longer and I’d much rather be outside, where we can see the sky and move freely." She looks toward Brynlee, then at the third tunnel. "If this is the best lead we have for Kenna, I say we follow it. She could be in danger, and every moment we delay might count against her." She adjusts her backpack and waits for the others to weigh in, clearly ready to proceed.
(How's Aric's HP situation? I can't check their character sheet, it seems set to private view only. B'Reh could heal 1d8+3 HP with a divine spark that she gets back after a short rest. She would heal Aric before she cares for her own wounds.)

"Understandable. I suppose it is probably getting to be somewhat late in the day."Brynlee looks to the others, ready to follow the group down the tunnel with the slime trails if they agree.
[[ If B'Reh wants to heal Aric or herself before the group moves on as narrated here, she can, just put it at the start of your post. ]]
The group moves down the third tunnel, following the slime trails Brynlee spotted. After only a minute or two, you pass a smaller tunnel leading off to the left, perhaps towards where tunnel two led. "This could connect up to the middle tunnel somewhere," the hedge sorcerer muses, but the slime trails continue forward, so you continue following them. As the glowing fungus grows sparse and the tunnel darker, the trails eventually stop, but you assume the slimes simply gave up chase and turned back to wait in ambush once again. Onward you trudge, with acid wounds stinging, but determined to find the young corvum researcher and see her returned safely to her uncle.
20 minutes later, the fungus returns, growing denser as you move forward until the cavern is dimly lit once again. Another 5 minutes of walking brings you to the opening of a large cavern, even slightly more spacious than the one in which you'd fought your previous battle. As you enter the cave, you spot a young corvum standing next to a rock formation further in, covered in a blue-purple sheen of slime residue. Hearing the sound of footfalls, she spots your group and opens her mouth to call out, but then her eyes go wide as she looks to the ceiling above you.
SPLAT. The largest slime you've seen yet drops to the floor in front of you, along with four of the same blue sticky slimes from earlier. The large one's body is iridescent, swirling with all the colors of the rainbow, as it looms menacingly near Kenna.
Combat Round 1
[[ Players' turn. The green hatched portions of the map are areas with visible slime residue. If you step in those areas you must make a DC 10 STR saving throw or be restrained. ]]
[[ With searching for a trail to follow and making your way through the tunnel it's been about 25-30 minutes, so Vira would need to rage again if you have one available. You passed all your saves regardless, so just edit your post with whether you're raging or not so I can get the damage right. ]]
Vira rushes through the sticky residue, easily pulling her talons free, and strikes at the sticky slime immediately between her and Kenna, opening a gash across its body. Ready for the sudden sticky resistance against her swing this time, she quickly compensates to maintain her hold on the axe.
At first, B'Reh followed Vira until she saw Kenna and the large slime, when she swiftly raised her amulet, the symbol of her faith glowing faintly in the dim light as she murmured a prayer to the Rhythm. A soft, radiant aura enveloped Vira, Aric, and Kenna, bolstering their resolve and sharpening their focus. "You are blessed," she called out firmly, her voice steady despite the tension. She stepped back toward the shadows of the tunnel entrance, positioning herself to observe the fight and provide support while staying out of immediate danger.
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
[[ Could you be more specific about Aric's movement? I'm not exactly sure where to position him based on that post. You'll need to make the STR save if you want to move through the green hatched portion, and you'll need to be within 5 ft. of the slime to help by distracting it. I just don't want to get you into a situation that you didn't intend to put yourself in. ]]
Aric's crossbow bolt connects with the sticky slime as B'Reh's divine magic suffuses him and Vira, along with the trapped corvum. Brynlee, having already experienced the sticky residue once, elects to stay back with B'Reh. She pulls out her crystal, focusing on the Great Rhythm once more (BA innate sorcery) before reaching out her hand and firing a burst of electric energy at the slime in front of Vira (15 to hit for 15 lightning damage–this cantrip is busted but oh so fun), sending it melting to the ground in a sticky puddle.
Sensing the vibrations of newcomers to the cavern, the sticky slimes begin to move towards the closest targets, seeming uninterested in Kenna for the moment. Two lash out at Aric with their pseudopods (7 and 18 to hit for 5 bludgeoning damage from the second one), and one at Vira (dirty 20 to hit for 5 bludgeoning damage halved to 2 from rage). The large slime also moves toward Vira, surprisingly just as quick as the smaller ones around it, and lashes out at her with a single slimy tentacle (6 to hit), but only manages to hit her shield.
