(I’m not sure how many of us there are.. how many players do we have lol)
(OOC: We started out with four, added two, and lost one. Let's see if my amazing math skills hold up...I think that would be five people.)
Port Ilsyn is a cacophony of sounds, of sharp tongues and dialects from ports around the world. Ships silently glide in over the water, docking on the port's long piers. The wood creaks under your feet as you look for someplace to stay, talking among your comrades all the while. Only a few people man the streets now, stumbling in and out of bars to try the 'famous' port ale. Stopping for a moment to discuss your splitting of the gold, you suddenly hear a loud cry - like that of a child's - originating from somewhere near.
(OOC: Anyone feel free to make a Perception check.)
Haha! I got you to click here! I'm an Evoker who loves D&D, roleplaying, and Magic. My characters might "accidentally" kill yours. Consider this an advance warning. If a vex randomly spawns in and starts attacking you, it's probably me. Also, the Minecraft devs really need to add Illusioners to bedrock.
Great, now that you have clicked the spoiler, you know all about me! See you in the PbP thread. :)
Although Ozymandias seems drawn to the cry, even taking a few steps towards it before looking back towards you, both Thorne and Titanus feel as if the cry is rather...faked, and that going down there could mean danger.
“Looks like we are of the same mind. We shouldn’t just barge in though. We don’t know the nature of this trap. Maybe one of us goes to the center and I can cast entangle when they spring the trap to keep them from moving.”

Slowly, Thorne connects to the world of magic, threads of spellwork entangling themselves with reality in front of his eyes. With all the spells and enchantments woven into Port Ilsyn by its inhabitants, none seem to be emanating from the alley.

Ozymandias, ever brash, walks right towards the sound, "I'll go first guys, I might be able to help whoever needs it: the attacker or ambushed."
Ozymandias casts Minor Illusion to make his footsteps seem like they are 15 feet in front of him.
Thorne, staying back near the entrance of the alley, watches as Ozymandias disappears into the darkness. Apparently, he has worked some magic, for you hear his footsteps in the alley before he enters.
Ozymandias:
Upon entering the alley, the darkness closes in upon you, no light shining in any windows. Darting behind and around abandoned crates and carriages, it takes about a minute to make it to where you heard the scream. Up in front of you, you hear your own footsteps, and suddenly you see several dwarf-sized shapes jump out of nowhere, shooting into the alley with daggers drawn. You can't see what they are from where you are - they wear cloaks with the hoods drawn up - but you notice black feathers strewn across the ground, mixed with several sets of bones. It seems this isn't the first time they've pulled this trick.
They begin to look around in confusion, having found no one, but they haven't found you yet.

Religious frisbee player, writer, goofball, and nerd. Some may say professional for the latter two.
Extended sig here. Send me a PM if you want to chat.
Ozymandias silently retreats back, casting Message as quietly as possible to Thorne, saying "There are a bunch of dwarf-sized shadows that just jumped my footsteps. I need support as soon as possible. There are feathers on the ground, looks like this isn't their first exploit."

“Hmm that is most certainly a trap. But leaving the source could spell trouble for others. I suggest we go ambush the ambusher. Thoughts?”
“Seems like a trap… Which is why we should go towards it! I hate trappers.”

“Ok I have detect magic for the next 10 minutes, so if the trap is magical in nature, I should be forewarned.”

Thorne hangs back to keep an eye on things and to ambush the ambushers.
