Everyone was out here buying and selling. Chromir kept his belongings as they were. He has his weapons and that's enough for him. Other people can handle the hard thing called counting money....
I have one or two more NPC's to introduce, but I can just as easily introduce them during an intermission post that details how the downtime was spent.
I think one more round of posts in the current scene ought to do it, and then I'll get another scene started that will take place in about three days.
In the IC, I don't mind if you guys add little flourishes to your posts like 'I spend a few coins' or 'I leave a few coppers in the alms box.' It totally makes sense that your character would spend some of their money in this way.
However, you won't ever have to deduct any gp from your sheet when you do so. Basically what I'm saying is, feel free to continue adding roleplaying fluff to your posts, but you won't ever have to adjust your sheets.
Also, I'm sure you guys have noticed ... we will only be using gp for this tale. When other purchases (sp and cp) need to be made we can just round up to the nearest gold coin. These types of transactions happen fairly infrequently and I find it makes it way easier to keep track of the bookkeepping. I won't ever hassle you on whether or not you have access to some minutiae item (regardless if it is listed on your sheet). If you need a candle or some string, or some paper and ink ... and you have access to your gear ... then you have it.
Periodically, I will deduct living expenses from your sheets (and that will account for all non-tracked purchases like room and board, leaving a few alms in the cup, etc). While in town, living expenses will be 1gp per day.
[Finally, since this accounting method sorta, kinda counts as a House Rule (denoted by the Bolded, Underlined, Large Font at the beginning of the post), I will link back to it in the first post of the OOC. As we continue play ... I find it helpful to have a common place to refer back to previous rulings. So when things like this pop up ... I'll create a hyperlink of it and throw it on the first post in the OOC. That way folks can refresh their memory on stuff without spending fifteen minutes trying to find it.]

^^ Messed around a bit with Dall-E. Wasn't able to refine it too much because I used up all my free attempts just getting it to put four heroes in the sketch.
That is so much better than I have managed previously (on other images, not for this. But I struggle to get it close to what I want). If only Chromir had an axe...
I got there in three (admittedly very generic) prompts.
1. An illustrated tavern wall from a D&D game. Centered upon the wall is the focus of the image, a charcoal sketch of a group of heroes. They are fast friends, bold and true. There are four figures in the charcoal sketch. A male human paladin, a female human monk, a male dwarven cleric, and a male goliath barbarian.
In the first very detailed image, Dall-E had trouble with counting to four (it had five characters), and it apparently had no idea what a goliath was (there was some sort of goblin-looking creature accompanying the group).
2. Please start again, and make the illustration more like a comic book, the sketch should be looser and less defined. There should be four characters in the sketch. A male human paladin, a female human monk, a male dwarven cleric, and a male goliath barbarian. A goliath is like a human with a bit of giant in their heritage.
This one was much better but it still had more than four characters.
3. Reduce the number of figures in the sketch. Only four please.
After the third prompt, I hit the free limit and was unable to continue tweaking.

Final prompt: A charcoal sketch of a group of four figures : A male human paladin with his sword, a female human monk, a male dwarven cleric holding a warhammer, and a male goliath barbarian with an axe.

I thought I would take and refine it a bit, see if I can get anywhere with my free generations:
Weapons are a bit oddly placed, but it started with 4 people, 3 looked human.
Second attempt and the weapons were better placed but still no dwarf (despite it claiming there was now a dwarf). And weapons were not correct types.
Final attempt went even worse in terms of getting a dwarf:
This was all going off the base prompt you did, with adding in what weapons people wield and then just asking it to make sure there is a dwarf who is smaller in there. You can see the prompt that the AI uses (which is often developed further from the prompt given) which for this final one is in the spoiler beneath (just to save space):
A detailed and atmospheric illustration of a tavern wall in a medieval fantasy setting. The focal point is a charcoal sketch framed and prominently displayed in the center. The sketch depicts a group of four heroic adventurers: a male human paladin wielding a flail, a female human monk in a dynamic martial arts pose, a male dwarven cleric with a long beard and smaller stature holding a warhammer, and a towering male goliath barbarian gripping a greataxe. The charcoal artwork is expressive, showing camaraderie and bravery among the characters. Surrounding the sketch are rustic details like wooden beams, mounted lanterns, adventurer memorabilia such as maps, faded posters, and a shield with a crest. The lighting is warm and soft, evoking the ambiance of a cherished gathering place for adventurers.
That does not seem to match the image (especially as it clarifies the small stature of the dwarf and it is larger than the humans).... but they still look cool
The worst that can happen is we as the players get sucked into the game jumanji style but with no knowledge how to actually use our abilities...... Sounds like a risk worth taking!

^^ Accordingly, I have replaced the 2gp spent by Cassian and Navrine.
Nice! String comes in super handy.
With unlimited string, we can wind it all together and make a rope! (yes, I know that would be abusing this so I'm not actually proposing it)
In other news it's my daughters first birthday today so I probably won't get my final post until tomorrow (or this evening at earliest)

A long rest has occurred. For the folks that can prepare spells, please let me know if you would to swap any spells out.
Cass is good with what he has.
Doc leaves it as is for now aswell.

So what type of adventure does a young party go on after dealing with their level one challenge?
I submit to you, dear players, a humble fetch quest. Simple. Perhaps? But the classics are classics for a reason.
