In terms of the conversation going on that he has no idea about, for the reference of the party, he has no special skills to bring to the table, other than being good at preventing the bullywugs and lizardfolk from killing the party (hard to fight when you have been sliced in half with a greataxe)
Yeah, I got the number of rations Cassian had wrong (thought it was 8 but was 4), so he buys 6 more and leaves his robe and carpenter's tools behind so they will fit in his backpack. It's been three days of travel, so he has 7 left.

I had already removed 3 days worth, that might be the source of your confusion.
Also did Malrik just teach us how to say the message or write it too? Maybe we could put a sign up in case any of those draconic speakers in the distance decide to come visit during the night.
Can Cass roll nature to try to anticipate what dangers to expect crossing the moor?
Sure. Info available at DC8, 12, 15, & 20
I removed the spellbook from Doc's possessions and added 150gp to each of your sheets.
Regarding the current scene, is there anything you guys would like to do/say before I move it along?
I'm good "at dawn we plan!"

I'm ready too.
I'm good. Chromir is a man of few words.

After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
Aw, don't sell Chromir short. :)
Social encounters are about more than just some modifier on a character sheet.
In his side conversation, he had a chance to interact directly with Orsk, and now I consider the NPC — more or less — to be introduced to the tale.
Our next scene will pick up the tale after about three days have passed.
I might be able to pull it off without it being too confusing ... but it's going to be a doozy.
Malrik will provide a starmap that will be useful in navigating the fens and trackless moors.
Feel free to let me know in the OOC about any gear and/or supplies you wish to bring with you on this expedition.
Cassian will get an antitoxin. I think that's all.
Unless anyone has a higher survival (Chromir has +4) Chromir will offer to lead the party using the star map.

@Swiftgale, please test Wisdom (survival) against DC15. You may roll with advantage due to the starmap.
A pass will result in the journey taking three days.
A failure means that the party got lost somewhere along the way and the journey will take 1d4+2 days.
I guess we all need at least a week and a half rations each?

Also wasnt sure about the pacing so Navrine will "help action" whoever is looking for a good place to camp hopfully giving them advantage???

Nat 20! So no getting lost from the star map. Chromir has the Guide background so glad it's represented in his roll

Sweet. After that success, the journey into the swamp only took three days.
I have removed three days worth of rations from each of your sheets.
...
@EmileTherese, your math is wonky (partly my fault as I had adjusted your sheet and you did not know it at the time).
Prior to the funkiness, Cass began with 7 rations and 151gp.
With those starting numbers in mind, please let me know how many rations you would like to purchase.
3 so he can go up to having 7 currently.
Also did Malrik just teach us how to say the message or write it too? Maybe we could put a sign up in case any of those draconic speakers in the distance decide to come visit during the night.
Sounds good. I’ll adjust your sheet to reflect that (and refund the accidental gp spent).
EDIT — Final totals are: 7 rations remaining (had 7 bought 3, used 3, resulting in 7 remaining), and 150gp (spent one gold to acquire 3 rations)
