Clapper realises this guy is a cultist, and he's pretty sure they're the bad guys, but he still needs information on who thee other two are. For the meantime he's playing friendly.

"It's okay, I believe I was actually sent to find you. Have you heard of someone by the name of Gresh Hildrit? He's some old wizard ho was hanging out at the library. Anyway, he stoped me on my way out and told me if I was looking for adventure, I should find those involved in the Dao's affairs. He said that the Dao needs to be taken down before peace is brought once more to these lands."

 I'd also like to see how many other cultist (or people that look like the would attack if I attacked this guy) are within say a couple hundred feet, o could get here in a few rounds. Pretty much, what are the risks if i attack?

[Very interesting. 13 damage on a 13 health creature.] The constrictor snake drops to the ground, defeated. The remaining cultists all flee into tunnels, and begin yelling code words such as "Onyx" and "Scythe".

My fist glows golden as I make a ranged spell attack on the cultist.
Attack: 13 Damage: 17
The enemy makes a DC 13 STR saving throw or be pushed back 10 feet and knocked prone.
As an action he casts Poison Spray.
(First number is for if he wasn't knocked prone. second one is used for advantage in case he was.
To hit: 19, 25.
1 poison damage.

 If I used advantage, that 25 was a na 20, so it's 2 damage instead of one. 🤣

(If the one that was engaged with Thrudor begins to run he would like to take an opportunity attack)

Thrudor deftly whacked the cultist's attempt at stabbing him away with his staff before twirling it around and whacking the snake. As the snake dies and the cultist runs, Thrudor lashes out with his staff trying to stop the cultist from escaping

As he reaches the guards, he gruffly says, "Make sure he can't get a good night's sleep. If he does, he might be able to magic his way out."
