Dag looks behind him to see the rest of the group following. He's a good ten feet behind Fiznik now and scans the fast approaching sight of the town for a safe point of entry away from the most wanton destruction and confusion.
As you approach Greenest from the west, Dag notices that there is a lot of commotion along the main road that cuts through the center of town. Scanning for other points of entry, he finds that the river that takes a meandering path nearly parallel to the main road on the south side seems well covered and intersects with one of the lesser roads that runs north and south.

Dag sees that there is a viable route that follows the river into town that may provide them with better cover as they seek to enter the fray. He sees Fiznik still running ahead, though his Gnome legs do not appear to be carrying him too far ahead.
"Fiznik! Hold!" he hollers, slowing his speed down to a stop before holding a hand in the air to signal to the others. Taking a moment he unstraps his shield and pulls his mace from it's loop at his waist. Fear and excitement run through him all at once and he finds that his hands are shaking from the surge of adrenaline in his body.
"Down there, by the river!" he calls out to the group. "It seems as though that may be our best entry point, where we can scout the town and look for ways to help the villagers without being overrun"
Closer to the town now Dag begins to make his way towards the rivers edge, hoping that they are not too late to help any of those in need.
Fiznik looks towards the river then back at Day. He gives Dag a sly wink before gripping the greataxe with both hands. He then charges towards the river! No longer dragging the greataxe behind him.
Rilla stops her headlong charge towards the town and considers this suggested tactic. To die in pointless battle is glorious, but we could perhaps save more townsfolk with a little more finesse. "To the river!" shouts Rilla, following the others.

You all begin following the river, keeping to the northern shore where the brush is thickest. As you enter Greenest, you begin passing a large, active mill that is just across the river. You can see a small huddle of buildings that look to be simple wooden houses about 200 feet east of the mill. There is a road that runs from the mill east through the houses before intersecting with another road that runs north and south. The brush is too thick to the north for you to discern with any certainty how many buildings there are, but you hear a lot of commotion and screaming coming from that area.
As you are taking all of this in, suddenly, five humans dash out from between two of the houses that are part of the huddle to the east of the mill. A limping man and three young children race across the street into more shadows, and a woman carrying a round shield and a broken spear turns and faces back in the distance from which they came. Twelve kobolds stream out of the alley on the family's heels and fan out around the woman, who looks determined to delay the creatures for as long as possible.
Through this commotion, none of these newcomers, human or otherwise, have noticed you yet. Elvoril has been keeping some distance from Dag, Fiznik, Grixx, Rilla, and Silk, moving silently through the shadows and maintaining a high level of stealth; so much so, in fact, that the rest of the party isn't even entirely sure where he is at the moment you all see the woman staring down the snouts of these twelve kobolds.

Grixx will draw his two shortsword and move to where he is running two steps behind and one step to the right of Finzik to provide room for the greataxe swing. Grixx will be attacking the Kobold to the right of whichever one Finzik attacks first.

Even though Silk could outpace these travelers, he chooses to remain 40 feet behind Grixx, ready to assist with whatever target he engages.
RIlla commands her retainers to remain out of sight, then proceeds to charge towards the town in all due haste.

*** Fiznik would like to know if he could have the DM's map (whatever that is) that has all the special loot marked on it! ;)
Fiznik is going to continue running, sighing and picking his greataxe back up until someone stops him or he gets to the town.
Silk is still keeping pace 40 feet behind Grixx.

Dag gestures Fiznik to the rivers edge and beyond, tracing the trail that leads into the town.
"That way." he motions "Easier for us to surprise any attackers and help the townsfolk."

Now that we're nearer and have enemies to fight. Silk is going to Stealth and wait for an ally to engage to start shooting with the bow.
Stealth: 14
*** To my understanding we're 200ft from the Kobolds.
Fiznik is just going to continue running towards them, now that he sees them, with his greataxe currently clinched firmly in both hands.
Grixx will draw his two shortsword and move to where he is running two steps behind and one step to the right of Finzik to provide room for the greataxe swing. Grixx will be attacking the Kobold to the right of whichever one Finzik attacks first.
