As you all head out, a young man walks up to you, limping heavily on his bandaged left leg. “I hear that you intend to follow the raiders and see where they’ve gone. I’d like nothing better than to come with you, but in this condition, I’d slow you down. In the midst of all this tragedy, there’s no reason you would have heard about the fate of my master, Leosin Erlanthar, but it’s important you know. He is a monk from Berdusk. He disappeared last night, after we fought a particularly savage battle against raiders. A few others and I fought our way to the keep, barely. Leosin didn’t make it at all. We went back this morning to look for him, but all we found was his broken staff and this choker, which he always wore.”
Upon hearing the name ov the man she had come to look for, Z'ress steps towards the young man. "I know Brother Leosin. He sent word to the monastery that he was in need of my help. If you know anything else please tell me." As she speaks her eyes go to the choker, her hand gripping the her quarterstaff tightly.
“Leosin has been investigating these raiders for months. I fear that he might have tried to infiltrate their group when they retreated, or worse, was captured and carried away as a prisoner. No one understands these bandits better than he does, and his knowledge will be invaluable against them. When you find their camp, please look for any sign that Leosin is there. One of my brothers has already departed for Berdusk to bring back help, but it will be many days before help arrives. Anything you can do before then would be a godsend.”
"Good more brothers will be of great help. I wish I could have met you so I could inform you of brother Leosin requesting my help. I owe him a great debt and will make sure that I can help him in anyway possible." She promised her fellow monk, looking towards the others. "We must find Leosin. Not only for my own peace of mind but so that was can learn more of these blasted cultists."
As you all follow the trails starting to lead south though gently rolling hills, you see smoke off in the distance. It is further down the trail of the raiders but easily spotted even from where you are. It is just some miles away.
"Agreed we are only here to gsther information and if it is possible I will rescue or recover the body of brother Leosin." Z'ress says as she megins to make her way forward.
You all make a detour around the smoke with no difficulty and continue your way. As the rolling hills start to change to a more rocky terrain with various outcroppings and streams. The trail continues down a winding trail with a few outcroppings nearby looming over the trail.
Graxian shoulders his pack and follows the others out into the village to follow the tracks of the invaders.
Z'ress walks out, keeping her staff at the ready in case they find themselves in any sort of fight. "We should be on guard at all times."

Reso follows behind Z'ress and nods at the young man. "I am sorry about your loss."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

"Of course." J'eilil nods in agreement. "We could never leave a prisoner with these cultists. We'll do everything we can to find him."

"How should we approach?" Z'ress asked as they for closer, keeping her pace even with the rest of the party.
"We'll need to stay far away, so they don't spot us." J'eilil says quietly, keeping an eye out for cultist scouts or any sign of trouble.

"Be cautious." J'eilil warns them quietly, as she continues to follow the trail. "If they've spotted us, it would be easy to ambush us here."
