Hey man, canonically, we met the eastern bunny a couple of hours ago. How bad can another one be? In comparison, most humans we've met have been kindda shifty at least. Plus, he speaks for the muck.
Merkas has a couple, if you want he’ll share. Though a couple were less of the edible kind…
And to be fair we were in a graveyard looking for cultists/ghosts when the “easter” bunny was jumping around, we were already on edge. Nare here showed up and announced their presence by shooting lightning at something that was attacking our friend.
So the Haregon lives down here...kinda? That was the speech to gain our trust? lol and THEN he just readies a spell ?
Sera is a bit sceptical ..but I hope it can be fun roleplay out ;)
Sharn trust every one ...Meerkas even befriend anyone..unless they attack him :D
I remembered Nare was a bit... loony. But I had forgotten how hare-brained 🤭they could be from the planar-psychosis. It was always amusing reading the chaos going on in Nare's mind.
We attacked the Easter bunny . He gets better treatment than easterbunny...
;)
Did we get easter egg from him? I seems to have lost it?
I thiink you did? That's a lot of back-reading, and I'm on a schedule today. I didn't add anything to your inventory, so you're responsible for that. I will say that there are Easter eggs still hidden around town. By morning, most of them will have been collected by the residents. Most of them just have chocolate or small Trinkets in them. But some of them have special items, like magical consumables, jewels, enchanted jewelry... stuff like that. Jacklop did not leave eggs in the cemetery. He saw the cultists as he was passing by and that made him want to skip town. So, by context, your character would assume that most of the eggs can be found near HQ and the residential district.

It makes sense, in this context, that your party's trust in Nare would be hard won. You're in a dungeon crawling with creepy monsters, and a crazy creature with zappy fingers shows up and tazes your ally (on accident, but still) then claims they live there... like the cultists and monsters do. Obviously, meta-knowledge shows that Nare is an ally, and hopefully the next encounter will prove that.
On that note, I'm about to read the IC and load up the encounter. Everyone who hasn't rolled initiative, please do so now. There isn't really a surprise round, because the zombies already knew you were there. But your readied actions will still trigger when the zombies come into view.

>:3 hehehe yeah Nare's been living in the sewers for a bit. bunnies love their boroughs!... albeit a more unconventional one.
yeeep! lmao they got no thoughts and all thoughts at the same time. constantly bouncing around in their head sometimes.
omg yess i loved Sera's reaction to him it was so fun!!! yeah you're in the middle of the sewers and something just jumps out at you, you let them explain, and they just go 'oh whoops idk', very much 100% the most reassuring.

DM: Drakkenheim Mind and Matter + Blood Secrets + What's in the Here and Now;
Since Hastos seems to want to sit this one out, I can put him at the bottom of initiative, so you can decide if you wish to move should the encounter make all the way through the first round. So MrUncleTio doesn't have to roll unless you want to.
They're already dead. Merkas can relax now. There were only two zombies in this area. But it's safe to say that you will meet more in this dungeon. How many Holy Symbols of Sargonnas do you have? Cloaks of the cult fanatics count.
If you choose to invite Ororana to your guild, she has enough XP to level up and take on a Player Class. I'm tallying the XP, but it goes away after she leaves your party and takes a long rest. Due to your current renoun, she cannot join as a higher level than Aspirant Flare, which will allow her to run missions with up to three other NPCs, granting you 10% of the bounty. The bounty will be based on her character level. A level 1 DMPC can run (off-screen) CR 1 bounties, which generally have up to a 100 Stl Bounty. Your guild will then receive about 10 Stl per day from her missions. Level 5 missions can earn up to 500 Stl a day, so your guild will receive 50 Stl per day.
Incidentally, Kasi is Level 5, but is only a Dependant Ray. You may promote her and send her out on missions in the morning. But if she can only travel with NPC classes, or with Ororana (who does not currently have enough XP to hit level 5, she'll have to take on CR appropriate missions. Which would be about CR 1 and CR 2 missions. They will also level up from the missions, enabling them to take on bigger paying bounties.
With supplies availiable for purchase in town tomorrow, and a guild to build, the passive income from small bounties your lower level members can take on will come in handy.
Also, and unrelated to the campaign, I've uploaded chapter one of my autobiography! God's Little Plaything
I named it that, because that was a nickname I was given in my youth. 😅 I really don't know how I've survived this long. People used to joke that my guardian angel must look like one of those chain-smoking cops in a shabby brown suit and frazzled hair, who is two weeks from retirement. Eventually it was decided that it wasn't so much that my guardian angel was working overtime looking after me. More that god had made a person who is uniquely hard to kill and has been testing my limits out of sheer morbid curiosity... like a child who drops ants into a pool to see if he can make them drown. So the nickname God's Little Plaything stuck. It was one of my nicknames from my early teens to my early 30s, and some people still refer to me as such. We even made a jaunty little tune about it. I wear it as a badge of honor.
We defeated 3 and 1 got cut in half by the portal. We should have 4 symbols and 3 cloaks?
Guess who just got a free pass through the dungeon!
That'll get you safe passage for most of the undead guardians. Living monsters are smarter. You won't smell right. Deception checks might be necessary if you wish to move quickly (no or minimal combat through the dungeon).

WE have 3 of each, some reason didn't find a forth symbol, Unless that's the one Sera found and used this battle
Also I figured it would be funny if Merkas was afraid of ants but nothing of the sort when it came to zombies
Quick question: Are we getting to know Nare while exploring the sewers, or is the plan to just have a friendly chat right there in the hallway?
Your choices are yours, but the clock is ticking before Cult Fanatic Blue gets away, and the townsfolk find the pile of bodies in the mauseleum. All it takes is for Blue to catch up to his brethren, warn them of your attack, and then have the right people sound the alarn that you have attacked citizens and murdered some of them. If they succeed in properly re-framing your actions before you can explain yourselves, you might be arrested and exiled by the time you make it out of these tunnels... or worse.
Also, cheapjoke123, Sharn mentioned curiosity about the wheel cranks. Feel free to roll a check about it, or give them a turn, if you're feeling frisky.
But out of character I admit the prospect of gettng strippet of equipment, humiliated, jailed or exiled...it is sooo appealing. I know many playets hate that their items gets removed or character " nerfed". They slaughter half the city watch not to be arrested. But I love it.
...I guess I am a odd DnD player ;)

Merkas had kept all the symboks from the cultist battle. I will remove one so Sera can have it.
is the shift of attention really obvious? Also are these guys moving down the hall single file?
