"Not to be contrary or different, but I was actually thinking going towards the east with the smoke stack. If west just has another spire, I'm not interested in a building like the one we just left. Birds swirling a cacti field just makes me think something died out there."

((we're out in the desert type terrain, is it so hot that we're going to need shelter and water soon? Because if so I might want to try to go to the spire))

Grundam begins to head westward, over towards the other sign of the spire. The sun is gleaming overhead, and it is getting warmer. It does feel that procuring water and shade would be a good idea.
"Maybe we can get some protection from the heat and some water and head back out there. I just don't want to get lost in the desert. I don't trust this spire anymore than you do."
((i love that skit btw poke))

The group decides to walk towards the other spire in the distance. After cresting the next dune, there appears to be a light breeze as the sand around them dances across the ground. They continue to see that there appears to be another large spire, this one however doesn't have a little house area, but has some sort of base canopy and stone pillars for support, leaving it open to at the sides. There also appear to be marks in the sand nearby, leading towards the spire.
If someone wants to make a Survival (and maybe another wants to help them) for more details.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Steve checks the patterns in the sand ahead of them. As he does, he can see that they seem to be swirling into small sand dervishes. The sand ahead is alive! (Luckily, it doesn't get a surprise round) Steve manages to warn the others as four little imp-like creatures made of sand begin to rise up.
Initiative: How initiative works is I'll roll a list of initiatives for the party and the monsters, then post a sorted initiative list. If your turn is before the next monster, feel free to post in any order, rather than have to specifically wait for them. The only time something like that will matter is if someone has to make death saving throws/is unconscious etc.
Scenario: The sand imps have coalesced into tiny creatures about 10 feet ahead of the party. Thursday is at the lead (10 feet away from them), with Steve and Grumdan just behind her (15 feet away from them)

Steve runs up 15 to the same imp, unarmed strikes as my action, and unarmed strikes as my bonus action. Then steve runs back 15 feet to where he originally was standing.

Grundam
I point to the west at the spire and grunt. "That way," I say as I begin to walk off from the others.

Thursday listens out and hears an echo of another birdcall. It appears to be coming from the South.
Can I tell what kind of bird it is and if it’s of any significance here?
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
Perhaps a nature check?
1 nature
“Hey wait a sec big fella, those bird calls are coming from the south. What do you think Steve?”
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
The call does not appear to be a bird Thursday recognises. At an educated guess, maybe some sort of falcon?

(Getting lost in the desert. Seems like how the party is going)
Grundam begins to head westward, over towards the other sign of the spire. The sun is gleaming overhead, and it is getting warmer. It does feel that procuring water and shade would be a good idea.
As the sun gets higher overhead Thursday says, “Guaranteed shelter might be best.” And also starts to head west
Gash - Lvl14 Goblin Wizard - The High Court of the Aasimar Queen
"I can get behind that logic I suppose." Steve follows.
