Vanizi steps towards the door. "Those lizards look just fine sitting where they're at. You don't suppose they'll just let us pass, do you?" She looks about and studies the creatures, trying gauge whether they have any interest in the party. "From the smell it seems they already have food."  (Insight: 12 - wasn't sure if that's the right thing to roll, can change it if it should be something else.) 

"I'm not sure we'll be so lucky this time," whispers Vesta, peeking around Vanizi. "Ugh, that smell is overpowering. I hate to say it but a well-placed fireball could solve this problem. However, I do not usually attack people unless they attack me first."

"Smells like someone needs more brownies, but we can try and walk past the creatures if you want. Maybe they're too full or something already yeah?" Zyl starts tiptoeing closer.

It seems they've been fed recently, and Vanizi's impression is that the lizards are content to just lounge where they are and watch you. 

"Save your fireball Vesta, I think we'll need them soon enough."

Davis will walk towards the doors to the east like he belongs here, ignoring the lizards.

Performance: 20

Stealth: 16 (not trying to sneak, just be quiet)

Vanizi will follow after Davis. She tries to move at a steady rate, stay quiet, and generally not disturb these creatures. 

The languid creatures perk up at your entrance, tongues flicking in and out to determine if you have treats or meats. Once they realize you carry neither, they then merely watch you pass through.

Assuming she makes it all the way across to the next door, Vanizi will again listen, then check to see if it is locked. (Perception: 17)

Vanizi warily walks through the large chamber to the doors in the eastern side. They are not locked, and she hears no sounds from the other side.

Zyl flutters softly past the lizard creatures as well with the others while trying not to look sick or make sickly noises.

Vesta nods and follows the rest of the party, observing the lizards warily as she passes them.

Davis opens the doors!

An enormous web stretches across this vast cavern’s center, its strands plastered over stalagmites and stalactites from ground to the ceiling 50' above. The webs stop just to the north and south of you, and the cavern is unobstructed in those directions. Crawling on the web is a gigantic reptilian creature with eight legs. Near that creature hanging from the cavern's ceiling is a smaller, one-eyed creature with a body that resembles melting wax. Both look at your party as the door opens. (Updated map)

"Ack!" Zyl stopped short, seeing the large creature. "Hello large, dragon...spider...person...umm, I'm Zyl, you uh, want a brownie? Oh! Yeah pointy hat lady and the bald man and the other lady says we're supposed to come down here to find part of a stick. We aren't here to hurt you or anything or even take your stuff we just need the part of the stick for the other parts of the stick...or something. Can you help us out?"

[Davis suddenly realizes that Zyl has never offered him a brownie, he wonders if it's personal?]

Katarina... has apparently been doing nothing for a while and leaving the social stuff to the rest of the party. But her tail twitches when she sees the giant spider/dragon thing... she unsheathes her sword and readies her shield.

Zyl's unsuccessful attempt to bribe the huge creature with her brownies fails miserably. The creature is a meat-eater! Katarina's readiness for a fight rapidly brings this encounter to its inevitable outcome - combat!

The spider/dragon speaks in the strange language the two worshippers used (undercommon) but you understand the meaning behind them - you are going to be its next meal!

The web in the center of the cavern is made of ultra-strong, ultra-sticky strands of silk. There are additional smaller webs throughout the area. The webs are difficult terrain and will likely restrain you if you get stuck in them.
