Ilren heads to a stateroom on the port side of the ship (Z3), then after taking a step inside, turns in surprise to see that you are still following him. You see that the cabin is small and cramped, with a bed and table built into the walls. The entire curved back wall has 4' tall windows, giving you a view of the Astral Sea all around. There are three chairs and a small bench around the table, and an iron-bound chest in one corner. 

"Ah - still with me? I didn't think you needed anyone to hold your hand.." 

"Just looking around, getting a feel for the ship," Vesta replies with a friendly smile. "You don't happen to have anything that could help us in our search, do you? Something to help us fight the cloakers maybe?"

He laughs and shrugs. "Sorry - you're on your own - just like the rest of us. If there is nothing else? I have matters to attend..." He looks at you with his hand on the door to close it.

"Do you think he wants a brownie?" Zyl muses and then starts wandering off.

Vanizi shrugs. "Who knows Vyl, maybe he'd like a brownie?" She steps away from the door, "Guess we check these other rooms real quick."  She waits until they've moved away from Ilren's room, then asks Davis, "You think the rod could be in his room?"

"No the rod is in another section of the ship" he says to Vanizi, "We'll need to move to the Prow section to find the Rod, so I guess we'll be swimming with the sharks on our way. Anyone have a way to make us less likely to be detected as we move? Or we can investigate this section more, maybe we'll find something to help us?"

Zyl drops a brownie at the door of the captain's quarters. "Okay mister big captain man thing I left you a brownie okay I hope you like it!" Zyl looks at the others, "Swimming with sharks? Okay! Let's go find the stick thing!"

Ilren takes the brownie from the fairy barbarian, nods his thanks, and then closes the door. In this small passage, there are three other doors - one immediately to your left on the aft bulkhead, probably leading to the twin room of Ilren's, one door to port, and one door to starboard.

"I have to say I'm tempted to explore the ship a bit more," Vesta says. "There could be something of use, even if the Captain doesn't think so. Maybe we'll even learn more about this crew and how they ended up here."

Vesta moves toward the door that seems like a twin of Ilren's. If it's unlocked, she'll enter and look around for anything that seems unusual or could provide more information on the crew.

Investigation - 25

Vesta opens the door to the other cabin at the aft end of the ship, and the sound of sizzling and the smell of spices emanate from a galley. A tall orc woman in black leather armor works busily at the stove, stirring and frying and mixing in ingredients in a large pan. A gold tattoo of a crescent moon surrounds her left eye.

Knowing that he sensed some Celestial presence on the ship, does the mark look familiar to Davis?

Religion: 25 (nat 20)

"Oh hi," says Vesta, surprised. "Sorry to bother you, but wow, something smells delicious!"

Vesta glances around the galley before returning her attention to the tall orc woman. "We're adventurers, here to help. Are you Kycera? Lysan and Zastra mentioned you."

The orc smiles at the gracious comment about the delicious smell. In response to Vesta's question, she nods and says, "Kycera Duskstride, the Zenith’s second mate and cook extraordinaire! Since the wreck, I spend my time here in the galley. Though we don’t require food in the timeless void of the Astral Sea, I find that cooking and eating gives us restless survivors' some measure of comfort. What brings you to our little piece of the rock?"

"We're looking for a stick!" Zyl pipes up and looks at the food. "Heyyyy you could use a brownie too! Maybe I can make some while we're here!"

Vanizi nods. "Her brownies are very good. But as Zyl said, we are looking for a part of a rod. Davis thinks it is in the prow section. Any helpful hints on getting there?" 

Kycera happily samples Zylynne's brownie, complimenting her on the hint of honey and...is that cinnamon?! She is happy to share the galley with an accomplished baker - and even comments about how the smell of a batch of brownies baking will certainly lift everyone's spirits! But when Vanizi asks about the rod piece, the orc clams up...
