One task down, second to go. The security guard in Cania is Daren, he knows me, Quentin introduced us and about the statue which has a pressure trap for thieves, but the pass card deactivates it similarly to the vault mechanism.
Let's go and see what's going on. Exa how's the bag, not too heavy I hope, we have a statue to fit into it.
"It's fine," the disguised Tabaxi says, hoisting the bag up easily with one hand. As she does, her visage changes to that of Quentin and she gives a wide, eager grin.
Adrian heads out of the vault area. He opens the door to the casino near the bar. He hears grunts and shouting then a smashing noise.
To his surprise he finds that the Dao they'd released are sitting and playing the copper slots, hitting the mechanism with a hammer when they didn't win.
He waits for Exa to catch him up before heading into Cania. He felt that Lilith was going to do her own thing and play with the Minotaur.
Mavilius lets the music flow with practiced ease, his silver tongue and nimble fingers charming the crowd. To the audience, he is nothing but the glittering heart of the show. Yet beneath the playful grin, his gaze never stops flickering about the area. He notes the rhythm of the crowd and any ripple that might spell trouble or advantage.
If his companions happen to pass by in disguise, he threads a surge of Inspiration into Exa and Lilith’s steps, disguising the magic as part of his act.
Exa surreptitiously winks at Mavilius as she passes, feeling bolstered by the magic of his music. Otherwise she walks with the supreme confidence of a man who has every right to be exactly where he is in his own casino. "He" chuckles with delight when he sees the gambling dao before catching up to Adrian. With a subtle nod, she indicates she's ready and heads toward Cania and their ultimate prize.
He took up a bodyguards position around Exa (Quentin), and slipped her the small crystal key, it undoes the case. You need the pass card to disable the arcane trap. Lead the way Quentin, he smiles. He can see Cania clearly and the large muscled Tiefling , Daren in uniform. The punters pay no mind to the noise outside and continue playing.
With the key in one hand, she pats Quentin's hand over his pocket where the pass card is as safely secured.
"Got it covered," she says quietly out the corner of her mouth to her bodyguard.
She strides confidently across the floor toward the trophy cabinet, though she walked slowly enough to see if a minotaur-flavoured distraction was forthcoming.
Meanwhile the alluring white-haired tiefling lady lets loose the minotaur on the gaming floor to deal out chaos and destruction and generally distract people from what is really going down. Thistle gleefully joins in, both of them wrecking the place to the rythm from the stage. Lilith herself hides the rod and stands back with an amused smile to watch the havoc and mayhem, blowing her favourite minstrel a kiss for his inspiring music.
His eyes follow Quentin and he comes to attention, Boss? he asks, nodding at Quentin. He appeared to be puzzled, but settles down since his boss has a bodyguard.
You hear the murmur of people bidding and cards being riffled
Exa nods an acknowledgment at Daren but otherwise doesn't engage him, instead pretending to be on her own, important business that was none of his concern. She continues on her way to the trophy cabinet, maintaining her air of authority.
Exa gives a little sigh of impatience before holding the magical security card in one hand and the little cabinet key in the other. At the first opportunity, she would ensure the tras were disabled before opening the cabinet and reaching for their grand prize. She has to try hard to stifle a triumphant grin.
In the main Casino people are fleeing the Minotaur. The Dao just threaten it with a warhammer and it moves away.
The cirque Maladomini has just ended their show and the people leaving the theatre seats are caught in the fracas. Calling for aid that does not appear. The hostess staff are busy sending people to safety via the barges.
Mavilius sweeps his arm with theatrical flourish, summoning a brilliant, glowing EXIT sign with Silent Image that hovers above the nearest doorway like a beacon. “Ladies and gentlemen, this way, this way. In an orderly fashion, please. Safety awaits you!”he cries, projecting his voice with all the confidence of a born showman. He has to resist a chuckle as he basks in his own false heroism.

Meanwhile the alluring white-haired tiefling lady sets the skeletal minotaur on auto-pilot to keep on trashing the casino floor and finds a secluded spot where she changes her disguise to an entitled waterdhavian lady that is close to panicking and just wants to leave the casino and head for the safety of her affluent home. It is with some brief disappointment she notices the rod turn to dust as she leaves the Afterlife but at least the zhents won't be able to make more use of the minotaur. She too would head back to the Dog and Duck to rendezvous with the others before quietly making their way back to Waterdeep to report on their success.

Adrian stayed with Quentin, he nodded at Daren and says Morning Daren, how goes it?
The guard smiles and relaxes. Hey Adrian.
The boss wants the statue, we'll return it later. Adrian says.
He motions Daren to step aside, leaving enough space for Quentin to get to the cabinet.
Exa
Exa gives a little sigh of impatience before holding the magical security card in one hand and the little cabinet key in the other. At the first opportunity, she would ensure the tras were disabled before opening the cabinet and reaching for their grand prize. She has to try hard to stifle a triumphant grin.
Quentin sighs as he takes the statuette, the Arcane enchantment paused. Daren kept clear.
Do you want me to stay here Boss? Daren asks
Yes, keep an eye on the tournament, we'll be back later for your report. Adrian replies, making sure that Exa doesn't give herself away by talking.
Adrian gestures to the Veritys bag of holding that is being carried by Quentin, catching Exas eye. Time to go.
