The tiefling feigns worry as Elra's head starts to flicker. "My my, dear. What sort of magic is holding you together? Can we help at all? It wouldn't hurt to have a guide the whole way." He examines her, trying to discern the arcane forces at play and if they could bolster them somehow.

Spotting the ivy, Bronnryn tries pointing it out to the others. "That might be the way to climb up. That room there, dark but with the green glow, I think that's probably where we want to go." She looks to the others. "We could try there first. If we aren't successful there, then hopefully we can get to the stair and just head straight down to beneath the basement." She waits to see if anyone has other ideas.
(OOC - I am curious where we are at vs. the mansion. Or, what side of the building are we looking at? Could we move about and try to spy on the place from a different vantage? Would climbing the ivy get us to the room we want to go in? Can we see into that room at all? Or is it curtained off?)

Elra
I have little to help you with, we had only just entered the Mansion when we were ambushed. Beware our dead bodies animated by Markos. Where he has cut off our heads, demons of the far realms animate them. I am here only because I was a cleric his magicks didn't work properly on me. I'm not sure how long I have left, everything seems to be thinning out as if I am losing hold. I wil try to help you if it is in my power to do so.
The young dark-haired lady nods in agreement with Bronnryn's suggestion, then giving the head of the unfortunate cleric a compassionate look over her quite undesireable fate. "We appreciate any help you can assist us with."She says with a sincere and grateful smile, then ready to approach the corrupted mansion.
"Alright, shall we see about getting in?" Bronnryn says to the others. Her intention is to use the ivy to climb up and hopefully get access to a window on the 3rd floor where they don't see anyone moving.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Delilah
The young dark-haired lady would simply hover up to the window, carried by her quite stylish magical boots. Meanwhile the summoned and invisible Thistle would take a peek through the third floor window by the ivy.
After quietly testing the ivy, Bronnryn determines that it is sturdy enough to climb, and does so.
She watches Delilah using her magic to rise up to the window and quickly pulls herself up so they can both look in together.
The room is empty except for a circle of vile symbols on the floor. Standing in the circle is an eight-foot-tall, bipedal creature with two long arms, each one ending in a sharp hook. The creature wears the tattered remnants of a butler's uniform.
Seeing the creature, and perhaps former butler, in the room, Bronnryn quickly looks to see if there might be an adjacent entrance without anything waiting immediately beyond. She motions to the others to make sure they also make note of the transformed butler.
The tiefling manages to resist his jealous urge to fly as well for now, climbing up and beholding the former butler. Noticing the symbols on the floor, he tries to discern if disrupting them will effect the creature (Arcana 6 -.-;;).

Hearing something outside, the butler turns towards the window, its eyes glowing as though it can see you.
Bronnryn climbs sideways to the next window on the left and looks inside. The walls and floor of this room are covered with starmaps. There seems to be a normal looking ghost perusing the maps. She senses no evil from this dead researcher.
Mavilius couldn't make up his mind whether the eldritch writing would dispel the butler, and those long claws would most likely kill him before he reached them.
Exa took the spyglass and remained downstairs keeping an eye on the movements of those in the purple robes.
"This room has a much less evil looking ghost. Go in here?" Bronnryn asks. "Doesn't feel like there are any empty rooms." She looks over to see what Mavilius and Delilah are doing. "You two have a better entry?" She's ready to say the word to open the window if the others agree.
The young dark-haired lady is gracefully hovering near the others, considering their options. "Yes, perhaps we should simply enter here and be ready to fight the corrupted abominations inside the mansion and hope we find the codex sooner rather than later." She says grimly, readying her faery wand, ready to enter the mansion when the Mavilius and Bronnryn are.
The bard gives a small sigh before nodding in agreement with Delilah. "Indeed, it seems like there's no way around it, unfortunately. Let's take on the less-evil ghost for now."

Bronnryn watches the ghost pick up old maps from the floor, roll them up and put then back into the scroll holders in the cabinet. Not a normal ghost then as he can interact with the room he is in. As if aware of her presence the ghost turns towards her. He nods then goes back to collecting star constellation maps.

Assuming the window opens, the young dark-haired lady gracefully hovers after the blonde dwarf inside, wary of the monster but ready to negotiate with the ghostly apparition.

Her tiny invisible accomplice too follows along, keeping an eye out for threats.
As Bronnryn whispered the magical unlock password a glowing blue words and symbols pass around the window. Then a sudden snapping noise. It opens easily.
The ghost watches them for a second then says Don't tread on the maps! He telekinetically pulls the maps away from your feet.
Elras head bobs in front of him Faranhal what have they done to you! Tears fall down her cheeks. You suddenly realise that he was part of Elras missing party.
Bronnryn nods to Faranhal. "We will be careful of the maps." She tries to watch her step as she goes. "You wouldn't happen to have any interesting information in those maps would you? The location of the book we need?"
The young dark-haired lady stays silent in the background, keeping a wary eye on the surroundings along with her tiny unseen accomplice. The fates of the members of the previous team admittedly gave her the creeps and she was not about to end up like any of them.
