My titles are the great Silver Dragon Lord of the Sky, Second in Command of the Dragon Cult, High Warlock of Cynophobia, High Cultist of Jeff, The Lightning Mage. Clamper
Species: Tortle (2014)
Class: Artificer – Battle Smith Archetype (2014)
Background: Driftwright Salvager (2014)
Alignment: Neutral
Character Summary: A wandering tinkerer with a spark in his eye and soot on his shell, Clamper patrols with a steel defender cobbled from crab plates and cannon cogs. He fights with a rune-etched maul in one hand and a humming arcbolt crossbow in the other—when he remembers which is which. Quirky, brilliant, and built like a walking forge, he’s a one-tortle workshop with a laugh that rattles rivets and a heart wired for wonder.
Backstory: He was supposed to tend tidepools, not build battle machines. But one day, he found a rusted construct skull on the beach—and it blinked. Since then, he’s been grafting gears onto crab shells, welding boltwork into his shell, and crafting companions from scrap and spark. Others called it madness. Then his eel-bot stopped a raid. Now he travels the world with a toolbox on his back and a crab-legged defender at his side—slow, steady, and always three steps ahead.
Not sure... Maybe next week? I'll have to ask the members for a time that works for everyone.
If you're running a play-by-post game here on the forum, you don't actually need a "time" that works for everyone.
You just need to set a "pace of play" for the game and build a group of players who can maintain that pace. For example, if you (as the DM) plan to move the action forward every 48 hours, then your players just need to make at least 1 post every 2 days to keep up. Play-by-post via the forum has a very different "flow" than a normal in-person or virtual game. When the DM checks the thread to post, they need to review everything the players have posted since their last post and resolve / respond to everything. If you want to keep the game flowing, it helps if you're providing very clear descriptions and some obvious things for players to interact with. Since requests for clarification can take hours or days to resolve, the game can grind to a halt if the players don't understand where their characters are or what their options are. And since combat can take days (IRL) to resolve, you may need to post some sort of status / summary so that your players don't lose track of what's going on.
If you want something more synchronous and interactive, you could run a play-by-post game on discord. In that case, you probably will want some specific times when all of your players can be online and posting at the same time (e.g., Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon - 1:30 PM US/Eastern time). If nothing else, that will help you resolve combat encounters quickly. I've never done a discord play-by-post, but I imagine it feels a little more like an in-person game since everyone can respond immediately during the hours when everyone is online at the same time.
Wizard (2024) currently Lvl 1 pending DM confirmation of starting lvl
no subclass yet
Moxana was found by a young Wizard abandoned in the underdark. She was taken in and trained as her apprentice.
Moxana is intelligent and cunning. As a drow she has faced prejudice and fear, as a result she has become thick skinned and cares little for what others think of her. Having learned what was necessary her master has sent her out to hone her skills and experience the world beyond her tower.
Maybe I’ll join this.

If there is still an opening, I have a character I'd like to play based on a Web Novel.
Fran is a hexblade Warlock granted power by a sentient sword she found.
She's a young tabaxi, only 12 years old, but is still as powerful as adults thanks to the power of her sword.
She had a hard life, before she found the sword, but now can make it on her own.
Her goals in life are to slay monsters to get strong, helping others, and cooking delicious meals.
