The bard looked upon them with pity and disgust. As the spawn is controlled by its master, these two served the master of addiction. The hags were stealing the will of people in this land, poisoning them slowly; in this case the gluttony sped up the clock. He shook his head sadly, but was comforted to know that the boy would have a much better life now. He nodded grimly to Vaelar, who voiced similar thoughts.

Crisaryn was somewhat pleased to see the demise of the boy's family. She supposes that perhaps this means the boy might one day inherit the house - something that would not have happened had she burnt down the place. Though that might have been satisfying, she does see this as a positive.
Having gotten a bit of sleep in the slightly musty room, she's ready to head out to their next destination.
After the Jarovs house, Betta headed for the stables behind the Tavern. She groomed her horse Dern and got him ready for Alerya. She'd purchased him when she was an adventurer, now with her leg she hoped the warhorse would find a good home with the paladin.
When Lorelei showed up she passes the last scroll to her, Protection from Evil and Good. To be used at need.
The evening is filled with music, dancing, and food. Alerya feels happier than she has for weeks! Or days...something. She feels happy now. What is going on over there? She wonders.
Oh dead people...wait they look familiar. She steps out of the line to witness the events with Lucien's parents. Not exactly a pleasant sight, but justice was served. Yay! more dancing!
---
Exhausted and fulfilled, Alerys checks with her companions and her horse "That was a lot of fun! Hey boy, we're going on an adventure! Maybe we'll even see a cute unicorn!" After a flop and a sneeze, she sleeps the sleep of young children and puppies.

Elsa caught hold of Crisaryns arm and handed her a canvas bag, and a wineskin, food for the journey for you all, she says patting her on the arm. You'll be welcome here always as are the rest of you.
She called to Illmirth Take my thanks to Hilde for helping us so fast! You seem to be enamoured of the Ravenfolk and rightfully so, they will fight at your side in need as they have done here. The route to Vallaki is a half days hard ride on ponies and Vardo, you should all be thinking about leaving so that you can ride in safety with the Vistani.
Crisaryn did not seem particularly pleased with the late start to the day. But there was little to be done for that. When Elder Elsa catches her arm, she gives her a smile as she takes bad and wineskin. "Thank you for this. And all your hospitality."
Prepared to depart, she says to her companions. "If we make haste we can rest tonight in Vallaki. Then tomorrow we can get a proper start to the day and pursue those hags?"
"Your message of gratitude shall be conveyed, Elder Elsa, and your warning heeded. Fare thee well, until next we meet. Your kindness will not be forgotten" he says with a smile. With that he seeks out a suitable mount, straps down his gear, and prepares to ride out to meet the Vistani.

“Let him not vow to walk in the dark, who has not seen the nightfall.” — Elrond
As the party gather together for their ride to the Vistani camp, they look behind them and see Elriq and Betta watching them go with Elsa at their side. Betta waves them on.
Ireena behind the reins of the carthorse and wagon moved into position behind them, with Illmark on his horse taking up the rear.
Hopefully Ellis was waiting for them, but if not they'd catch up.
It was a fast ride to the Tser Pool encampment, and for once it was sunny, no mist in sight.
Vaelar has to blink against the bright sunlight, as he is more used to the darkness of the forest and, more recently, the mists. Still, he seems to enjoy its slightly warm touch on his pale skin as he looks upward to let the sun fall on his face.
Then he raises his hand in a motion of thanks to the elders they leave behind.
The young blonde priestess had gratefully accepted the last offered magical scroll and said farewell to Betta and the village of Barovia. She was delighted to see the sun in these dark lands but her thoughts strayed to all the evil they still had to overcome. She knew the coven was an enenmy to be respected but still she felt eager to face them now, to end their evil ways.
The bard falls into line with the others. The hooves had barely begun their rhythmic thumping into the earth when his voice lifted in an old trail song, modified as always with his own timely touches.
You see I've been through the mists on a horse with no name, it felt good to see sun again. In the village they'll remember our names, and one fine day we'll see 'em again...
His voice went on, merrily sending the party off on the next lef of their adventure.

Reaching the Tser Pool encampment you find Stanimir talking to Ellis. They looked as though they too had had a drink too many the night before. Eyes squinting against the sunshine.
Ellis led the Vardo and riders out of the camp and put your group in the middle of the wagon train.
The ride from the town to Tser Pool was actually rather nice. Crisaryn seemed to enjoy the bright sun and the chance to see the surrounding landscape. "This is a rather nice place when not filled with gloomy mist and ghouls," she remarks. When joining up with the Vistani, she would look around to see if she could see Annaletta and give her a greeting. Otherwise, she is eager to see the group move on as the day is wearing away. She definitely would like to get to Vallaki before nightfall.
Illmirth greets the Vistani with a cheerful wave and smile. "Your pain is shared my friends," he calls out to Stanimir and Ellis in a loud stage whisper.

"The others may know him," Vaelar suggests from atop his horse. "They appear a close group."
He seems somewhat at home in the saddle. Though it has been some years since he last rode, it is a skill one never forgets. 'It's like riding a horse,' his father always used to say whenever Vaelar tried to suggest he'd forgotten how to do anything.
