Party is on steps outside of Matthias office. Party is downstairs in kitchen discussing dragons. What's everyone doing? Meeting up again? Sleeping? Checking out the garrison? Handle exhaustion?

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
With the cold from the tunnels below greatly affecting him, the gnome begins to drift off to sleep in his chair. As his head bobs causing him to snap back to the conversation he interjects with a yawn, "I think I can figure out where we need to go if we're just going to high tail it out of here."He taps the book on the table and then stuffs it back in his satchel.
With everyone's exhaustion levels, I assume we'd be taking a long rest barring anything else that anyone wants to do first, right? I figured that the party members in the kitchen getting warm would wait for Hrain, Thomas and Cara to find them and show them where they could hunker down for a few hours, get rid of that gnarly exhaustion, then we'd start formulating a plan from there. Thats kind of the assumption/tentative plan that I'm waiting on.
Lebenha starts to meditate looking at the flames of the kitchen fire almost without noticing it. She has no desire to fight a dragon, or necromancers. She had endured her imprisioment for so long because she wasn't able to escape. Now that she had regained her powers and some sort of freedom, fate robs her true freedom by throwing crazy cultist, necromancers and a dragon to prevent her for return home. Her last thought before entering in deep meditation was that she had enougth of it. She will be free or she will die trying.
Outside the chamber Hrain turns to Thomas once again "I still desire your counsel about the options we have and it seems we may have another issue with the competency of your leader to discuss as well, however I am exhausted. We have found the hospitality a bit lacking regarding our allies so I am going to join them. In truth I am exhausted and need to sleep, I only hope the defences last through that time." Turning to the other Sunite he says "slee where you will, at least in terms of where we are permitted but you will be more than welcome down with the rest of us I'm certain, you would be too Thomas but you are home, nobody would blame you for wanting to sleep in your own bed." The paladin flashes a warm smile reminiscent of his usual persona but it doesn't quite erase the sadness and exhaustion he clearly feels as he descends to join the others.

"If you value hospitalty over security in the midst of a siege, then I suppose you might question Mattias' competence, yes. I will refrain from doing so at current, not the least because the dwarf seems as exhausted as we are with trying to find a sloution. Matthias can be abrasive on a good day, even more so when dealing with strangers and a lack of sleep."
Thomas looks to both Hrain and Cara before Hrain departs.
"As to accomodations, with the siege in play, I would reccomend everyone stay on ground level to ease our escape if the defenses fail. I will check with Artemis and the others concerning what supplies we have for such a circumstance and get them staged on the ground floor. Please, both of you, as well as the others, get some much needed rest. There is some provision and food in the kitchen you all are more than welcome to."
Thomas then departs from the others to track down cots and blankets for everyone.

"Security must come first, of course, but I worry that he has pushed himself too far. Spending all the hours in the world on a task will not help if you are too exhausted to see the answer when it is there to be found. But I admire your defense of your Commander, I do not doubt that he is trying to do what he believes if for the best of all of us, but then who am I to speak, we have charged from one defeat to another, losing valuable resources along the way, becoming increasingly hemmed in, I should not be so quick to criticise." The bitterness in his self-perceived failure is obvious in his voice.
OOC - posted a moment after AA, obviously this was supposed to be said in the previous evening.
The entire party finds a place to sleep and the night passes gloriously uneventful. The wards hold as they find a room that magically appears on the ground floor. A barracks that Thomas guides them to just off thr kitchens. It's a round room with seven bunk beds spread out over the floor with a magical heat source blazing in the center of the room. Artemis is scarce and no one sees Matthias or Ora again until rhe next day unless they look for them. Once all arrives to breakfast the next morning they find both Matt ans Ora seem anxious. Ora's mechanical muscle however seems to have swapped sides as she no longer wears an amulet that instead is no where to be seen!
"Good morning all," Artemis replies to the party with the same easy temperament as each party member slowly reassembles in the kitchens.
Some arrive early enough to see Matthias conjure, along side Ora, a meal of bland but hearty porridge for all casting create food and water. They seem obligated to play hosts now but do not look happy about it. The kitchen itself is warm snd inviting even if the mood of the Mystran occupants is subdued by distrust and visible animosity!
"The wards have held of course but for how long," a fair haired human woman in Sister robes asks everyone at breakfast.
One can only assume this is Sister Calius already mentioned to have made it safely to the garrison.
"And praise the Sisters that they have. It is good to see you made it back safe from the temple. The horror going on there now is hard to imagine."
Thomas looks about the room and everyone gathered for breakfast.
"Commander, should we take time for introductions while we partake of breakfast? Such knowledge shared would be in keeping with Mystra's tennets, correct?"

Hrain, looking tired but not so deeply exhausted as the previous evening looks over the room, at the distrust and disharmony, amongst so many good people realising that many of the people he feels the strongest ties to in the room were prisoners in a camp he was partly responsible for running only two days ago. The thought shocks him and then makes him in turn question all the things he has taken for granted. As an extra precaution he allows his Divine Sense to play out throughout the area washing over the group in case any of them are not what they seem. The paladin bides his time, not joining the conversation at first as he scrutinises the group, especially those new to him.

"Ughh...,"Folzi groans as he pulls himself out of the bed and wobbles into to the kitchen. He looks longingly for better than what has been prepared. "I guess this will have to do." he mumbles to himself. The gnome continues to find a seat near the other casters, along his way he musters some semblance of thanks and nods towards the Myrstran officers - Matthias and Ora. He detects a hint of unease about them. "So, what's got you two wound up?"

Swapped sides in what way?? Have they moved to the other side of the garrison, or somehow moved to join the other side - dragon casters - of the battle?
(LOL. Cool. I didn't think it was anything that serious... Also, just to point out, Folzi's last question was to Matt and Ora. I edited above to clarify that.)
"Likely the same thing that has all of us wound up, Councillor. Unless you can honestly say that a dragon and a death magic cult have yet to have such an effect on yourself. If so, I suspect you may be alone in that opinion."
Thomas turns to the Commander and Ora.
"Please tell me that you all got at least some rest before preparing all this."

Upon waking and refitting himself with his various arms and armaments, Haldur joins his companions in the Mystran's dining hall. He takes a few steps inside and pauses abruptly, glancing around as a wave of oddly familiar sensations washes over him. They had experienced almost the exact same reception in the last garrison in which they took refuge. The simmering discontent and shallow hostility began to immediately rankle the mercenary, and he could feel his own anger rising from within. The arrogance of these people, safely hidden away behind their stone walls as their world burned around them and people died helpless and terrified, to now turn their noses up at presumably the camp's last survivors whom had seen and battled this threat face to face...
The sellsword had to physically shake his head to derail this toxic train of thought, but it left a sour taste in his mouth none the less. He mastered the facial expressions that would have otherwise given away his outrage, and assuming a stoic mien he made his way to the tables where his companions sat and began eating in silence. Haldur glances every now and again at their new 'allies', the Mystran command, in the hopes that they may offer some advice or a plan of some kind, but for the time being it seemed that everyone was focused on their meal so the young warrior did not press the issue. Time enough to discuss such things after the very well deserved and very long overdue respite.

Lyra will wait for the rest of her new companions, although shes definitely looking forward to some sort of powernap.

She felt more confident and knew that her powers will come easier to use as she keep using them.
