Nick and Pat lose sight of Lyra and Hrain as both mounted groups then lose sight of Folzi! The smoke is thick. The sounds coming out of the haze are a mix of crackle and pops from the smoldering remains of the town but no other noise from townsfolk.

"This smoke is nuts. I'm heading to the docks," Folzi shouts out behind him to the others to be and then continues on straight ahead, being the direction he believes the docks to be.
Moving forward it takes Folzi a full ten minutes to reach a slope in the street and he can smell the cold yet salty sea air but clearing yet another group of smoldering buildings he finally sees it! Ahead of him the harbor but instead of freedom he sees a vast array of ships, all burning! Looking hard his dreams for freedom begin to flicker away when he spots it! In the distant, there's a ship NOT on fire. It seems anchored just beyond the cluttered wreckage of the harbor itself. It's small yet fast looking ship with sails tied up as if not yet ready to travel! Peering at the ship in the distance Folzi can see with his keen gnome eyes suddenly movement as he looks in the waters littered with wreckage! There's a group in dingy rowing towards the anchored ship and then notices nearby him is an abandoned cart. Looking down at the dock still smoldering in some areas he finds a grouping of dingies latched to a post. Two boats seem undamaged and he knows this is the way out, this is his chance.
"Let's go, folks!" Folzi again yells back into the smoke hoping to guide the others to the docks by his voice. He takes a quick glance at the cart (Perception 9), and assuming it is the cart of those already rowing to their safety, and tries to determine those who left it behind. "Our ride out of here awaits! And I'm not waiting forever for you lot!"The gnome runs toward the remaining dingies and unmoors it to prevent it from going up in flames.

"Head to Folzi and the docks, move, move." Hrain rides into the smoke on Vihar trying to make his way safely but purposefully keeping his eye out for any of the others he tries to reach the docks.
When Samson gets within 30 feet of the smoke where we lost Folzi, Nicknack fades back into visibility atop the warhorse as he casts Detect Thoughts and concentrates on the area where the rogue was last seen.
"You can also use this spell to detect the presence of thinking creatures you can't see. When you cast the spell or as your action during the duration, you can search for thoughts within 30 feet of you. The spell can penetrate barriers, but 2 feet of rock, 2 inches of any metal other than lead, or a thin sheet of lead blocks you. You can't detect a creature with an Intelligence of 3 or lower or one that doesn't speak any language."

Folzi tries to pull to boats away from the burning dock, athletics check, please. As for the cart, nothing remains in it. It's just an empty handcart/wheelbarrow of sorts that looks like could have been loaded with loot from the town.
Suddenly the party seizing onto Folzi's annoyed voice get through the smoke and arrive at the burning harbor of ships. There are about half a dozen currently smoldering and in various stages of sinking!

Folzi continues trying to save the dingies. He waves the others when they break through the smoke. "Hey! Over here! We got one chance at this it appears!"
Hrain leaps down from Vihar as soon as he sees the gnome struggling with the boats. "Good work, where do you need me Folzi?" The Paladin-Captain charges towards his companion attempting to aid him salvage the boats. "Pat, Nick, Lyra, get over here - we are leaving, now."

Having finally found Folzi, Nicknack tugs a shaving of licorice root out of his pouch and chews it up. The ZING of the flavor adds some zest to his spellcasting, as he gives Father Pat a speed boost with Haste.
"We're not going to fit the horses on any of those!"Nicknack reminds him as the gnome slides down and hurries towards Hrain.
