OoC: Does it appear (as far as we'd be able to tell) that continuing alongside the stream would lead to more cave as well? And does the steep fissure something we could walk into, or is it a chasm? I'm not quite clear from the description whether it's functionally a dead end or not.
(I think Anton is probably asking Delta this in-game, though out-of-game it's really a question for the DM...)
There is rubbish at the bottom of the fissure. The fissure is (just) wide enough for a humanoid. You can't tell if it's climbable or not without being under it.
The cave appears to continue the other way, following the stream and widening a bit
Anton whispers, "Looks like there are two ways we can go here. And the only thing we know for sure is that one of them has wolves. I say we go the other way."
OOC sorry - stuff and stuff then stuff. love the frog thing! no pots for me - makes sense. arrows to me pls - unless someone else got, I didn't catch. no gold encumbrance. 4g ea or is that wrong?
Wolves snarling angry feral guard wolves, or wolves angry snarly we don't like being chained up?
River will scout ahead into the non wolfie direction to see what she can see.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
DM Note: No worries Jynne. Re: Wolves, you don't know.
The main passage from the cave mouth climbs steeply upward, the stream plunging and splashing down its west side. In the shadows, a side passage leads west across the other side of the stream.
In the shadows of the ceiling to the north, you can just make out the dim shape of a rickety bridge of wood and rope crossing over the passage ahead of you. Another passage intersects this one, twenty feet above the floor.
When River returns from scouting out the northern passage, Anton's military mind forms a tactical plan, "It may be a good idea to try to pick off that goblin from the shadows if we can, before we continue on. River, you're unfortunately the only one who can see in the dark, which will make it difficult to get close without it noticing... Sulvarax, could you go with her with a light facing the wall, turn to face the goblin at the last second, and then both get a ranged attack off at the goblin as soon as you have line of sight to it? The rest of us can stay close behind in case it survives and comes at you..."
OoC: We certainly don't have to do it this way. Just offering up a possibility.
OoC: I guess Cyan is still MIA. Does Delta want to carry out the role Anton proposed for Sulvarax instead? Jynne, yes, as far as I know, the arrows are yours. Each character's share of the coins is 2gp and 20sp which is equivalent to 4gp in value.
Unfortunately, Delta does not have a light so she would either have to bring a torch (which would probably ruin the whole sneaky thing) or take her attack at disadvantage. She could still do it though.
I think it's probably fair to say that Sulvarax will cast light on one of your items, even if he's not here to say so. It's a cantrip so it doesn't cost him anything, and he offered before.

River gestures towards under the bridge and quietly makes some frantic animal sounds quietly, then looks up to the goblin for awareness as she tries to remain hidden from view. druidcraft (you hear the sound of a small animal below the bridge but do not see one, the sound - though low - seems to turn to a panic like its caught in something or stuck - attempting to lure the goblin closer to us with the idea of easy prey for dinner) nature11 if needed
Delta describes what she sees to the other’s and calls Laiken back, transferring her senses back to herself.

Delta nods and Laiken disappears.
Is Laiken exploring ahead or did you dismiss him?
OoC: I dismissed him.

You see the shape of the goblin on the bridge pause, listen, then dissapear.
(I'll need stealth rolls)
