"I think ve metal on ya is a magnet for these things, Hammer. But not worry!" Vondal calls as he springs into action. Only this time around his fists are more actively thrown into the mix in pummeling the creature down into the dirt.
As Vondal is finishing the final twig blight, Daran sighs in disappointment. "I didn't find anything, so let's move on to the next building. Thanks for having my back."
The party exits the building and walks north. When they get to the fork in the road, Daran suggest, "There are less buildings to the left. Should we start that way?"
"Mn! Just means we'll get through those quicker. And the faster we're done, the sooner Adrom there can get away from these metal hating blighters." Vondal nods sagely at that. "That, and maybe make certain the dead here are sooner sent on their way to the otherside. Which, I believe most of us can agree on bein' good thing for world. Least another one of those red robe figures decide to come and 'sell' them. Bleh!."

Daran turns left and walks further along the path. "The old codger said there are more blights up here. Hopefully more twig blights, as you seem to be able to pick them off easily enough."
As they walk, the party can see the next buildings are ruined, side-by-side cottages that look as though they might have been the homes of prosperous shopkeepers or well-off farmers in their time. All that remains are collapsed walls and piles of debris. Several young trees have grown up in the midst of the ruins. "These look promising," Daran comments with a smile. "Mirna's family might have lived in one of these. Anyone want to scout ahead?"
Vondal just looks to Nif and says, "Sounds like your up, Brother Nif. Want Uncle or I as company? Or will be good on solo this time around?"No matter which decision is made, the gold dwarf stayed on alert, and on the read to move at a moment's notice; especially for Adrom's sake, if noone elses. If/When Nif moves ahead, Vondal starts, and then looks to everyone else, "I am being reminded. Do any of you think an ability to speak with plant's might be of aid here?"

Nif looks at the houses and says "well uncle is never going to see his dragon if we stand round 'ere yammering. Best Vondal and Uncle come with me though"as he sets off steathily for the first house (Stealth roll = 16) and Karl's stealth roll = 9
Vondal strains to hold back a grin. "Provided what we seek isn't elsewhere, that is." With that, he follows in the footsteps of Nif and Karl, trailing just behind the trio without a weapon a hand. The meaty mitts were more than effective as-is anyhow.

About 20 feet from the house, Nif stops Karl with a raised hand. He whispers that he sees more twig blights in the foliage surrounding the house. Once Vondal catches up, he counts six. The three adventurers are looking at the creatures and trying to decide how to proceed when Karl inexplicably farts. All 12 eyes turn in their direction.

Players act first. Nif, Karl and Vondal are 20 feet from the six twig blights. Adrom and Daran are 40 feet away.
Remembering how soundly the party took care of the twig blights before, Daran decides to let the dwarves handle these as well.
Vondal facepalms and chuckled at his uncle's expense. But a moment later, he's racing towards the nearest Blight. Though Vonsorm is whipped free along the way, the weapon again acts more as a counter weight as the Gold Dwarf threw himself into spinning kicks and backhands.

Vondal begins a complicated maneuver of hits and kicks. The first flies over one of the creatures' heads, but his second and third are more well-aimed for a tiny creature and in fact takes out two separate twig blights. (2 of 6 down)
Karl takes out a third with Pacifier II, sending it soaring through the air and out of sight with his golf swing. (3 of 6 down)
Nif takes aim and fires a bolt. (claws attack: 24, damage: 10 piercing damage — fumble roll: 12 [Pulled Muscle (Upper Body). Roll a Constitution Saving Throw DC15 or the strain of your attack causes you to pull a muscle in your upper body. You have disadvantage in attack rolls and ability checks requiring upper body strength until you have completed three long rests, or received magical healing.] CON saving DC15: 7 — That's stupid. How would he strain a muscle pulling a trigger? Rolling again: 15 — String Break. Your bowstring snaps. Assuming you have a spare string, it requires 1 minute to replace it.) As Nif pulls the trigger on his crossbow, instead of the regular release, the string snaps, sending the bolt off into Neverneverland and leaving the crossbow useless.
Adrom decides to attack from a distance and calls down a sacred flame. (Twig blight DEX save DC13: 18; damage: 1 radiant damage) The creature is hit, but is still coming.
Karl=1, Nif=2, Vondal=3
The hurt twig blight goes after (1) Karl and attempts to claw him (claws attack: 12, damage: 2 piercing damage), but he is able to bat the creature's claws away.
The first of the unhurt creatures also goes after (3) Karl and attempts to claw him (claws attack: 10, damage: 4 piercing damage), but his deflection stops both creatures.
The last creature follows its mates and also goes after (3) Karl and attempts to claw him (claws attack: 9, damage: 2 piercing damage), but Karl easily stops all three creatures from doing any damage.
Party's turn again! Daran is waiting this time to see if he is needed to help mop up.
(@DDP: How would he pull a muscle? Very Carefully, my friend. Very carefully~)
"It seems they've acquired a taste for you now, Uncle." Vondal observes aloud with a note bemusement to his tone. For all of his jokes, the gold dwarf steps into the fray with haste, least he be blamed for not taking things seriously. Lashing out first for the one weakened by Adrom, he then follows up with a rolling kick to a second blight. "That should do it! Finish them off!"
Vondal and Karl are able to take out the remaining creatures. The adventurers are beginning to let their guard down when two more twig blights come running through the tall grass.
Rather than rush in the meet the blighter, Vondal just whips a dagger from his belt and throws it at one of the charging Blighters with an, "Enough you!"

The newest duo of twig blights is thwarted quickly. The group stands still, looking around and listening for more. A minute goes by. Two minutes. Daran finally says, "Maybe that's all of them."

Vondal immediately points at something. Daran hurries over and finishes removing some pieces of a broken flagstone covering that used to conceal a hole in the floor. The half-elf drags out the chest within and opens it. As the contents — a heap of coins — is revealed, Daran deflates. "She didn't say anything about coins." He begins trying to dig through the gold, silver and copper disks to see if the necklace is also in the chest, but he doesn't find anything. Finally, he looks up at the party. "This must not have been her family's shop and home. You can keep all of the coin as a thanks for escorting me. I don't need any of it." He then suggests they move on to the last house on the west side of Thundertree. After a 10 minute search of the crumbled stone cottage with no roof cowering in the shadow of an old tree, Daran decides there must not be anything else to find here. Walking back toward the road, Daran nods at the building across the street (Building 3 on the map). "The old man indicated zombies around that building." The party looks at can see from the road a weathered signboard by the door of this large building shows the faded image of a workhorse holding a flagon of ale. The building is sagging and dilapidated, but it is more intact than the ruins they just searched.
