Before following a nod, stepped aside and behind the dwarf to let him handle any "introductions" that might need to take place dealing with anything or one on the other side. Though by now the growing concern of the residents having either absconded or killed off Gundren left the younger dwarf antsy to say the least.

In response to Adrom's question, the goblin began speaking in the goblin tongue, but the smirk on its face told you you didn't really want to endure anymore of what it had to say anyway. Nif's action of gagging the creature brought a welcome silence.
The party moves on after Nif has finished binding all three goblins. Vondal hurries to the door he sees Karl going for and leans an ear to the wood. He hears nothing on the other side.
Karl tiptoes into the next room. A stone altar stands in the middle of the room, covered with bloodstained black cloth. Golden ritual implements — a chalice, a knife, and a censer — are carefully arranged on top of the altar. Two archways to the south are covered with heavy curtains. A robed goblin huddles on the other side of the alter, clearly trying to keep from being seen.
As Karl's footfalls become audible to it, the kobold lifts its head, staring with big eyes up at the dwarf. It says something in the goblin tongue in a shaking voice. Then, it slowly gets to its feet, not at all in a dangerous manner. It looks around at the other dwarves, its eyes still big. "The ... the great and powerful Maglubiyet say you should leave ... or else," it warns weakly.
As Vondal trails in after the others, he seems less concerned initially with the lone goblin, and moreso focused on scanning the ceiling for something, or perhaps some creature. After all, considering only a curtain separated the chamber he nearly died in from a quick glance to the south(?)...
Even if he sees nothing to warrant cause for concern, he kept a hand closed to a weapon at all times as attention finally turned towards the rest of the scene. "Maglubiyet, Uncle. Judging by the altar 'n all, I believe that one is referring to some goblinoid god. Eh? I speak true, yes?"The last part he called out to the goblin from just a few feet from the door the group entered from, looking genuinely curious for the moment. "Mn. Where is dwarf your people kidnapped, hm? We only want that one. You tell us true, and maybe we leave sooner, ya? Can't say care much for spilling blood of priests, even if opposite aligned to own. But Uncle there, and Adrom here care less. So, I'd answer swiftly if I were you."

Vondal, you see no sign of the creature that surprised you in the other chamber.
Nif, you're no medical expert, but the blood is completely dry — not wet or even tacky. It doesn't even really have an odor. You're not exactly sure how old it is, but it's definitely not fresh. As you're looking at the cloth, the chalice, knife, and censer catch your eye. The gold looks genuine, and they appear well crafted.
After Karl and Vondal speak, the goblin puffs out its chest. "Maglubiyet is high chieftain and right-hand of Bane, the Dark One." It looks around at the group, but as it does, it seems to lose its confidence. "I can no tell you where. King Grol will kill Lhupo if I tell," it says in a voice bordering on a whine.
"I wouldn't worry 'bout this King Grol for long, my.. friend." Vondal grimaced a little at the last word, but doesn't let it stop him from continuing on. "For keeping our friend, his head will roll soon enough. Of that, you have our word. And if you know anything about a dwarf's word and their grudges, you'd be wise to not earn any more of Uncle's ire this day."He states frankly. "Now, tell us where this King is, and if you would be so kind, the other guards that me be close to him, before things get rough, and you can speak to your high chieftain more directly beyond this night."

The goblin — if you're reading its facial expressions correctly — looks very surprised by Vondal's comment about King Grol's head rolling. "King Grol is mighty. Almost as some-fear as Maglubiyet. You think little dwarfs strong enough? King Grol king for long time. Kill many kin to stay king." It continues to look at the party's faces. The more it does, the less it looks surprised and more it looks worried. Suddenly, the creature hops on one foot and then the other, clasping its head in its hands while its eyes wobble in its sockets. All the while, it is chanting something in the goblin tongue. Just when Karl starts to reach for the creature to make it stop, it does so on its own. Clearly feigning more surprise in an exaggerated gesture. "Maglubiyet tell Lhupo OK ... if you let Lhupo go after. OK?"
Vondal tugs at the side of his beard a few times. "If we take with, Zhen it is harder to keep promise, as Grol will likely want Lhupo's head first."He grudgingly admits. "Safer for Lhupo to tell and be tied up for now. We can always come back later to free as part of holding up bargain, and with less risk to us... not that element of surprise not already ruined as is anyhow."A sigh escaped on that note, but following a shake of the head, Lhupo is given a pointed look. "What say you, Lhupo? You tell us where Grol is, who might be with, and after we go deal with him, we come back and free you. Assuming, of course, you have not freed self by then. Sound like square deal? Also, what you know about, uh, nature folk in area? We not sure, but seemed as if they had some deal with you goblins going?"

"Tie up? Why tie up?" the robed goblin asks indignantly. "You go that way," he says, pointing southeast toward one of the curtains, "I go that way," he says, pointing west.
Vondal crosses his arms and stares flatly at the goblin. "Because for one, if you lied, we know where to find you when all this is over. Two, there's little to stop you from pulling fast one on us, whether we take you with us or leave you free, not that -- again -- you might not squirm out of ropes anyways. And three-..."He thumbs the direction of the curtains with looking away from goblin. "I believe I've been in general area before. And if recall correctly, you have giant snake creature with bird beak there. So, unless you have solution for keeping that one from trying to make meal of us, you are not doing good job as bargainer."

Strangely enough, the goblin smiles at Vondal. "You meet Talaan?" Its face suddenly sharpens. "You no hurt, Talaan? Talaan good pet. Why kin afraid of Talaan, Lhupo no know. Talaan no hurt kin." He smiles at Vondal again. "Talaan hurt little dwarfs, though," he taunts in a sing-song voice.
Vondal furrows his brows in annoyance at first. But then after a moment, his expression relaxes into a half-hearted smile. "Perhaps then Lhupo, hm? Not prefer such brute tactics, but perhaps we tie you to uncle's shield, yes? Then he holds you up to Talaan? Make sure he no hurt 'little dwarfs' while they make way through, hm?" He then sighs and rolls his eyes. "We have no time for this. Tie him up, and we go around that way. Back through kitchen. Safer bet. Building not so big that we not find Grol sooner than later. We'll just have to deal with other dangers long way the hard way."He said, and if need be would break out his length of rope this time for Karl to get to tying the goblin up.

Seeing Karl finally finish doing whatever it was he and the rest were up to with the other room, he took a moment to listen at the door first...
