Yes, the drow disengaged. I should have said it explicitly instead of poetically.
Vondal, you can catch up to the drow, but your attack misses.
Karl, with your 25 feet of movement, you will not catch up. Do you want to dash and try to pin in them in without attacking? Or do you want to attack the bugbear?
OOC: I'll save your post for your next turn, Adrom.
Vondal scowled, but could spare the drow no more than a moment's glance before needing to again keep track on the bugbear. However, as the monk is sizing the goblinoid up, seizing its momentary distraction in focusing on Karl, the dwarf tumbles away to give chase after the dark elf. He takes the stairs nearly two at a time, the storm within offering a touch of buoyancy to Vondal, or so it seems. The monk draws Vonsorm mid-leap off the last step, and brings it down in a great arc at the drow's back, gravity and his own weight being thrown into it for maximum damage. At the last second, however, the drow seems to have eyes in the back of their head, and then twist out of the way, Vonsorm making a great clatter as it scrapes against the stones of the floor instead.
Back in the larger space, as the bugbear's morning star clangs off his shield, Karl swings Hew in a sideways cut. The creature bellows in pain as another great gash is cut into its flesh, and most assuredly, a few ribs are broken.
Round 4!
The bugbear steps five feet to the side (to I15) and takes another swing at Karl while yelling something in the goblin tongue. (Attack: 19 Damage: 14) Expecting another blow from above, Karl overcompensates and is surprised when the bugbear swings low under his shield. The morningstar strikes him, but the dwarf's rage keeps him from feeling its full effects.

Nif, feels that the Bugbear was calling for reinforcement and dashes around the battle to the right and looks to the ropes that the previous bugbears had climbed up. When he finds them, he attempts to cut the ropes with his shortsword. - One first, then the other.

Whatwall, you can cut the ropes without rolling. The issue is getting to them with only 25 feet of movement. To cut two ropes, you're going to need an action and a bonus action (or one per round if you do this in two rounds). One rope was on the south side of the stream, the other was on the north side. Let's say one is at J10 and the other is at K15. What do you want to do?
Nif hurries around the scuffle in an attempt to throw a wrench in the plans of anymore approaching bugbears. He successfully cuts one rope and is on his way to the other. (Avoiding getting within melee of the bugbear, Nif gets to J13 with his dash.)
Seeing that the drow is away from him now, Adrom moves in to follow Karl's lead and hit the bugbear as hard as he can. His hammer crashes into the hip of the hairy creature, causing it to groan. It's looking rough!
Down the hallway, the dark elf throws caution to the wind and attempts to dash away from Vondal.
Vondal, go ahead and let me know if you want to attack. If you do, make your roll. The rest of the drow's turn depends upon whether you hit and what the damage is.
As the drow moves away, Vondal manages to land a quick blow. The dark elf grunts in response, but continues to quickly limp away and around a corner to the right.
Vondal, you're up! Karl, you're on deck! Alphabet adjusted on map. The dark elf turned the corner at Column F.
"Murthamoir give me strength -- The Drow made a break for it! I'm in pursuit!"Vondal wastes no time on waiting for an answer, before with a spring in his step, rushes down the hallway nearly hugging the northern most wall. Along the way, he finally drops Vonsorm, realizing the Drow could very well out pace him, if only by virtue of a few steps in their favor. As reaches the point they disappeared down, he is immediately drawing an arrow, ready to fire into the back of the despicable elf!
And if that meant kicking aside or opening any hastily thrown barricade in his way, then so be it. But come what may after, he lingers but for a few seconds around the corner, intending to confirm his kill, before doubling back at least partway to the others, call out confirmation or denial of his success.
Movement(35ft): To 16J, then drop battle Axe(no action req.)

Vondal, you move just far enough to look around the corner and see the dark elf entering through a door into what appears to be a sizable chamber beyond. You fire at the drow's back, and the arrow hits, but you can see your target isn't collapsing. Do you stay or do you return to 16K? The drow is 15 feet north of you.
(@DDP: He'd still fall back just in case, as he knows darn well that if he winds up in trouble, it'll take the others way too long to bail him out with how far he's gone. XD)

OK, so Vondal pursues the fleeing drow along the hallway and moves just past the corner long enough to fire an arrow at the dark elf's back. The arrow lands, but doesn't take down the monk's target. Vondal gets a quick look beyond the elf into a large room, and his eye is immediately drawn to a large statue at the far end. Not wanting to get in over his head, however, Vondal retreats back down the hallway.
Karl is still swinging at the last remaining bugbear. The creature deflects his latest blow, however, and grins a bloody-toothed grin down at the tall dwarf.
Round 5!
The bugbear decides to take a swing at Vondal to see if the cleric is any easier to hit than the barbarian. (Attack: 22 Damage: 12) The creature is rewarded with a hit across the armored dwarf's shoulder.

Nif, you're up! The other rope is now at X10 (still 15 feet north of you). Adrom, you're on deck.

Vondal glances back and forth between where'd the Drow gone and to where his brothers yet fought on their own. Then, remembering the Dragon fight, and the price of negligence on his part, the dwarf took a breath and muttered, "Don't be cocky, Vondal. Not now of all times." With that, he rushed back to the others, practically taking the stairs two steps at a time, but just managing to keep his balance as he trained and infused another shot with power just prior to loosing it at the Bugbear.
