(OOC: Oops, missed that, I thought my post in #3576 would stand.)
Nif advances quietly to J7 and takes careful aim at the yellow Bugbear firing his crossbow at the yellow bugbear before ducking behind the pillar for cover.
crossbow: Attack: 14 Damage: 5 (d20 for advantage if we have it: 23) piercing damage.
(if I have advantage I also get sneak attack damage: 2)
Sorry, Nif, I forgot you had posted. One of the downsides to PbP.
As the bugbears are glaring and quietly snarling at Karl, Nif carefully moves into the big room a little. His movement catches the attention of the hairy goblinkin, and as the rogue's bolt rockets toward the bugbear, it raises its shield and blocks the projectile.
Adrom also moves into the room and aims his warhammer towards the (yellow) bugbear. His hammer head turns red as if it was inside a forge, and then a red and orange ray of radiant energy strikes the creature. Immediately, the bugbear begins to glow with radiant light in the dark room.
Nif hears a noise to his right. He turns to see a huge spider just before it attempts to spray him with a load of webbing. (12) Nif ducks, and the webbing hits the wall instead. The spider then skitters up the wall and onto the ceiling.
Likewise, Adrom hears noises behind him, and two more spiders make their presence known. (14, 25) He raises his shield and blocks one spray, but the second hits, wrapping around him. (Adrom is restrained.) One of the spiders crawls up onto the ceiling while the other moves menacingly toward Adrom.
A fourth spider also makes its presence known as it crawls out from behind the northwest column. It sprays webbing at Karl. (13) The barbarian sneers as the attack goes wide.
Vondal, you're up. You said you are at P9. If you move five feet up the stairs, you will see a glowing bugbear 75 feet away. You will be able to barely see Karl at the very edge of your darkvision (but if you continue forward, he will become more clear, as will the table and bugbears). You heard Adrom make a noise of disgust, but won't be able to see him unless you move at least 30 feet ahead. If you move ahead, I'd say it's unlikely you would see pink or red because they're on the ceiling 20 feet up.
The big star is a large statue of some important-looking dwarf you don't have time to pay attention to right now.
Though a touch confused by the noise going on ahead, Vondal advances up the stairs and a little ways beyond that, and immediately set about lining up a shot. The moment electricity seemed to leap from finger tips into the arrow, he lets the arrow fly at the glowing bugbear -- his sole real focus -- before ducking back by the stairs to get ready to fire again.
Movement: To M9.
Bonus Action: Channel the Storm(Kinsei Shot).
Action:Attack with Zindral. (Lethal, Short Range)Long Bow - Attack: 17 Damage: 7 non-magical piercing damage to glowing Bugbear.
Vondal moves up the stairs and forward just far enough to land an arrow into the bugbear beacon before slinking back down a few stairs.
The bugbears move forward to stand on either side of Karl and both take swings at him with their morningstars. (Yellow Attack: 11 Damage: 14; Blue Attack: 10 Damage: 13 — blue adv. due to flanking: 14) Both creatures swing, but with little conviction, and Karl blocks one with his shield and other with his axe.
Karl, you're up! Yellow is one square north of you; blue is one square south.
"Right Fuglies time to play!"Karl says as he enters a rage (Bonus Action) {OOC: While you’re raging, the first creature you hit with an attack on your turn becomes the target of the warriors, which hinder its attacks. Until the start of your next turn, that target has disadvantage on any attack roll that isn’t against you, and when the target hits a creature other than you with an attack, that creature has resistance to the damage dealt by the attack.} and swings Hew (Attack: 21 Damage: 10)
Karl swings his axe at the (yellow) bugbear, pushing past the creature's shield and armor and carving into its flesh, causing it to roar in pain. Its eyes also widen in confusion, darting back and forth as if looking for something.
Round 3!
The disembodied voice comes again from the same location: a little northwest of the table. Karl, Adrom and Nif have no trouble hearing it, but Vondal only catches bits of it from his location. "What power you have!" it says with what sounds like genuine interest. "Are you so protective of all dwarves? What of other races? Elves? Halflings? Clearly not bugbears."
Nif, you're up! Then Adrom. The bugbears are north and south of Karl. Vondal is five feet west of his current position. No other differences from the map above. The red and pink spiders are on the ceiling. The other two are on the floor.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nif decides the spider heading towards Adrom is the bigger threat. So he lines up on said spider with his crossbow and fires at the cluster of eyes on what would pass as its forehead.
Attack: 11 Damage: 11
Deciding that he should stay out of line of site from the spiders, he ducks back around the corner to K8.
"Hear me Moradin" Adrom prays in dwarvish "Give your son thou protection. Do not allow our enemies to prevail"
As he speaks a faint orange glow starts on his holy symbol and grows until it covers his figure. The reddish-orange faint glow surrounds him protecting him from the attacks
(BA: Cast Shield of Faith on himself)
"This is gross! Get off me!!" he yells trying to break free from the web that surrounds his feet.
( Action:Athletics. 22 )
(If he gets free and is still clear from AoO he will move towards the others at D8. If not he is all set )
Nif fires a bolt into the giant spider crawling toward Adrom while the cleric reinforces his armor with magic and breaks out of the webbing.
Nundro looks up at Karl and asks weakly, "Can you heal me, fellow dwarf?"
The four spiders move. The (green) spider approaches Karl and attempts to bite him. (Attack: 6 Damage: 11) The barbarian raises his shield to block the abnormal arachnid's attack, but feels the creature sink in. His rage lessens the damage. The (blue) spider, already at Adrom's side, attempts to bite him. (Attack: 8 Damage: 7) There is a *clink* as the creature's bite is stopped by strong armor overlayed by magic. The two spiders on the ceiling simply move closer to the center of the room, but do nothing more and wave their mandibles menacingly.
I thought Karl's AC was 19, and I was getting the beholder screen before. Now I see it does hit. Karl's CON save vs. taking 9 poison damage: 10. Saved. 11/2 due to being a dwarf=5. 5/2 due to saving=2 poison damage. LOL So, in 5e, quartering damage results in 2 from as low as 8 to as high as 11. But it works that way for both good guys and bad, so that's fair.
Vondal skirts his way up the ledge, and for the sake of a better host, advances as far as to stand beside Nif for an actual view in the room. The moment he lays eyes on the spiders, it is as if he'd been struck by a hold person spell. "I... I.... I.... No!" But only for a moment. For seeing his brothers in arms endangered, and having fought such creatures before, teeth are gritted and feet firmly planted on the ground.
There would be no hit and running tactics going forward, knowing that to retreat even a step might very well destroy what courage had been mustered to still draw his bow and channel the storm into his next strike at the same bugbear. "Form up on Karl, if can, Hammerer." He called out. "Brother Nif. Finish off one on Adrom. Then other spiders closest to Karl."He adds at more comfortable speaking tone.
Then seeing presumably Gundren's Brother for the first time, he calls out as well, "Hang in there! We'll get you out soon. Just... Just... Karl! Is he bound? Can he move?"
Movement: To 9K.
Bonus Action: Channel the Storm(Kinsei Shot).
Action:Attack with Zindral. (Lethal, Short Range)Long Bow - Attack: 18 Damage: 12 non-magical piercing damage to Bugbear(Yellow).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nundro is not bound in any way that can be seen. He is slumped on the ground, conscious, with no visible wounds, but clearly weak. Perhaps hurt internally? Or drugged? Or psychically damaged?
Vondal moves forward and shoots and arrow into the (yellow) bugbear beside Karl. The creature is looking rough.
Now sufficiently provoked, the bugbears swing with a little more intensity at Karl while exercising some vocal effort as well. (Yellow Attack: 11 Damage: 16; Blue Attack: 7 Damage: 6 — advantage rolls for both: 157) Karl raises his shield to stop Yellow's attack, but the blow is so strong that it slams his shield back into his own face, bloodying the dwarf's nose. Seeing stars, the barbarian is unable to block the second attack, which catches him in the small of the back. (7 + 5 damage)
Nundro looks up at Karl and asks weakly, "Can you heal me, fellow dwarf?" "Sorry not my skill set Comrade! You need to speak to the bloke in the tin suit over there"pointing to Adrom. To Vondal he yells out "listen young'un I'm a bit busy 'ere stoppin' these fuglies get a free lick in at this fella 'ere to see whether 'e's inta bondage or not!"as he swings Hew at the yellow bugbear (Attack: 25 Damage: 14
Despite having a conversation mid-fight, Karl successfully dispatches one of the bugbears, leaving it a bleeding pile of furry meat and bones.
1 or 2: 2
Vondal and Nif hear a noise behind them that is fairly ignorable, but then there is a voice quickly speaking arcane words, and Vondal feels three energy darts slam into his back. (5*3=15 force damage) The dwarves look over their shoulders to see a short, dark-bearded human male in robes and wearing a mantle ducking back through the door behind them and closing it again. There is the distinct sound of the door being locked once again.
Round 4!
As the bugbear falls with a groan of pain, the disembodied voice calls out to Karl again. "Now, why would you do that? Why have you come into my home and waged war upon me and mine? Who has sent you to do this?"
Nif, you're up! And then Adrom. The map is the same, except Vondal is in the square below Nif, and the yellow bugbear is dead.
(@DDP: Wouldn't it take an action to for him to close and lock the door? Because previously, the door had at least been closed, and he'd have to use his free interact to open it first, yea?)

I was thinking free action to unlock/open the door and bonus action to close/lock the door. I suppose that's too much. What if he gets the door closed, but can't lock it?
Nah, it's OK. I know you're only trying to keep things fair and understandable. I hate when a DM starts doing things that don't make sense, so I definitely don't want to do that to my own players.
Nif returns his attention to the spider menacing Adrom, and fires his crossbow at it.
Attack: 15 Damage: 11 piercing damage.
He then backs up to the door at N8 (Does it open inwards or outwards? - Nif would have noticed this when checking the door earlier).
If it opens into the corridor, Nif will stop at N8 and put a foot against the door to stop it from opening, if it opens inwards, he will move to O8, so he can keep an eye on it.
