I think Karl might have missed his turn. 1. If he was still charmed he would have continued to dodge and activate his Dwarven Fortitude (6) 2. If the charm had worn off with his save against the persuasion he would have attacked with his warhammer muttering something along the lines "that's enough of being a nice guy - it ain't natural!" (Attack: 15 Damage: 9)
(OOC: two ones in a row for Dwarven Fortitude - now that ain't natural)
if Karl’s actions would break the grapple pls ignore them
I had asked in 2804 if you'd wanted to do anything else, and then you posted in 2805, so I figured that was your response. The charm had not warn off before your turn.
With Karl still securing the dragon cannot escape, Adrom uses his spiritual weapon to deliver the final blow. The dragon expires with a dissatisfied groan.
"Okay, Thorn Bearers! Keep it u-oh? 'ey! They're gone! W-wait!" Without missing another beat, Vondal hustles his way over to peek inside the doorway, or at least tries to at the very least. Whether he hears of the dragon's defeat or sees it for himself, the broadest smile crosses the dwarf's face for a few moments. Then reality hits as he turned back to the fallen cleric. "Brother Nif, Brother Adrom. See if you can work with Uncle with moving dragon body out of way. Easier to get in and out I think and see to its hoard. I'll... see to Daran." He admits, but won't stop anyone from following him to the doorwary to work on hefting up the half-elf adventurer.

Nif will turn to Vondal, lifting an eyebrow, "Move the dragon where exactly?"
Before heading in to check on Karl, "You have a death wish uncle but you appear to be nearly as unkillable as the legendary Gotrek Gurnisson." He says with a grin, relieved to see the dragon riding dwarf in one piece.
"What mean where? Away from doorway and deeper in tower, ya goof. Or have you been struck blind in the past half minute?"Vondal said half jokingly, reminding Nif of earlier difficulties that went beyond just thornwall. Whether the dwarf pushed it aside or shrunk down to better maneuver past the fallen mini-giant, the dwarf is soon to handle Daran.

Adrom takes a minute to kneel down and thank Moradin for its help in this tought fight.
"Indeed you were wise to put me into this gruop of lads path M'Lord." he mumbles
"That was a hard and well fighted battle lads. Well done!. We were close... one more breath and we had been done but ya did well."
He then approaches Daran's body and closes his eyes.
"He was gone even before I was able to reach him. Moradin couldn't help him, but to guide its soul towards his God. I am sorry for him. Where do you think we should bury him?" he asks Vondal.
"Thanks for that young 'un"Karl responds. He looks around and collects a few scales of the dragon before turning to the others "right let's get this lot tidied up and shipshape and then see what's what? After that I'm gunna 'ave a bo peep!" as he looks around the room and up at the roof to see if it provides any protection from the weather, etc. (Perception = 24)
Vondal's brows become furrowed at the question, before the eyes suddenly widen then soften over the span of a few seconds. A moment of silence still passes prior to him finally nodding without looking to Adrom. "Before when I was talking to him about... those sort of traditions when burying other bodies. Traditionally, the body is plowed into a fallowed field to enrich the soil." He bowed his head. "I'm sure he'd prefer if it was in phandalin, but... We should bring him to the Druid. See if he has a.. garden or field nearby we may yet use for the same purpose."

Karl, the tower is a single room with a 40-foot-high ceiling. A five-foot-wide staircase circles the interior, rising to the now-opened rooftop that allowed the dragon easy access to its new home. Heavy wooden beams and stair supports crisscross the tower interior. You also see there's an old wooden chest broken open on the tower floor with treasure spilling out.
Nif, after shrinking down to your normal size, you make a beeline for the broken chest. Within and without, you collect 800 sp, 150 gp, four silver goblets set with moonstones, and two scrolls. Beneath the coins is a rusty old battleaxe of dwarven manufacture. Runes in Dwarvish on the axe head read, “Hew.”
With all that said, Vondal tries to enlists Adrom in carrying the body over to the Druid's place, trusting Karl and Nif to handle the other half of aftermath affairs. If however the cleric thought or would prefer another method such as Vondal just running ahead to talk to Rediroth, then he would do so with a fuss.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nif will sort through the coins, taking note of how much their is before scooping them up.
Nif will look at the scrolls and see if he can make sense of them (Arcana: 9), if he can't work them out he will take them to Vondal and Adrom to see if they understand them. He then looks the axe over, thinking its something that Uncle might like.
DM: Does the axe look well crafted or does Nif think it might be magic? (Arcana just inase: 12)
Nif will take the axe to Karl, "Uncle, I feel there is something special about this Axe, may be you will make good use of it." He then heads to Vondal and hands him the spell scrolls, "I have noticed that you have taken a fascination to this stuff, maybe you will be able to copy them."
"Thanks young 'un. I'll use it next time and see what happens - eh?" Karl responds as he peers closely at the runes "hew - I wonder what that means? Oh well I guess I'll find out when I use it next!"
Though it was to be expected, noting the downcast look on Adrom's face enroute left Vondal equally demure throughout it. As much as the guilt added to the overall burden on his back, there was little he could do -- was willing to other than accept it as due punishment and keep putting one foot after the other. Even the complaints of organs and flesh yet still recovering from the poison bath could not shake the gold dwarf's resolve.
In time, unless some other surprise yet made itself known, the dwarves would stand before Druid's front door. Relunctant to set down the body (unless Adrom wished to as well), Vondal has to awkwardly shift it around until a hand could just be freed long enough to knock on the door. "Sorry to disturb you, but if we could have a moment of your time?"He calls for good measure.

Combat is over. Everyone earns 975 XP.
(@All: We did it boys! And with no casualties! *Glances back at the corpse of NPC friend.* Absolutely NO casualties of import!)
(... Poor Daran.. It was his crappy elf constitution that did him in, in the end.)
(Before officially posting anything, does the vine wall wither away with the dragon dead?)

Whilst Karl sets up camp, Nif will look through the ruined castle for any items of interest that the dragon may have hoarded.

Nif, one scroll is misty step and the other is lightning bolt. The axe feels special, despite its aged appearance.

Adrom helps Vondal carrying the body to the druid's place. Despite their victory he feels that they had achieved little..
