Karl goes up to cage containing the Townmaster and thinks to himself "it'd be a hoot to yell out Boo and see what this bloke does, I reckon 'eed foul his britches" but instead he yells out to Vondal "I told ya this bloke was 'iding somethin' but did ya listen to me. No of course not cos ya never listen to anybody and that's why we went chasing ghosts recently!"
Zander turns to head back to the room with the cloaks and is at first surprised to not see Droop. Moving into the hallway, he finds her huddled just outside the crypt. He mumbles something about her coming along, and she does so willingly. They find more than enough cloaks to bring five back, but do not find any rope.
Strangely enough, neither of the Redbrands has a key on them, but Nif is able to pick the locks on both cells.
While Nif is picking the first (north) lock, Vondal addresses the occupants, "You would have to forgive the late arrival, people of Phandelin. We would 'ave been 'ere sooner, but ... eheh ... We ... I got a sidetracked chasing after ghosts of all things." He shoots the group a bright smile. The older of the two women in the north cell stands first, and the other two follow her example, though they stand a little behind her. "Who are you?" she asks, confused.
Nif moves to work on the second lock.
Harbin speaks up, still sitting on the floor. "I recognize you," he says. "You're the dwarves that came to the Hall yesterday. You're the reason my wife and I were kidnapped!"
Vondal is about to answer when Karl breaks in with his comment. "Just a moment." He says to Harbin, then half-turns back to Karl. "How many knocks to the head you take Uncle? 'cause I seem to remember agreeing on that point on way back to Inn in dwarvish, but not wanting to press the point further back in building. 'cause there was no point pressing him on the matter... ButItakefullresponsiblitytheghost -- Anyways! Back to you."He shoots Harbin a brief but stern look before moving on to the women and children.
"I am Vondal of the Stormfist clan. Gold dwarf from the Deep Kingdom.. if uhm… *clears throat* Anyways. These are my bond brothers. That there is Uncle Karl. Nif. The tall one there is new addition, but name is Zander. Mmn. Mind'im, as he is working certain things out."For the kid's sake more than anything, he puts up a pinky and daintily mimics drinking a tiny cup of tea before giving them a wink. "And that one there is Droop -- don't panic. She is another new friend. Helped us even rescue you from terrible men. Now--"He motions Droop and Zander forward to start handing over the cloaks.
"These for you. Will need them just in case to get past mean skeletons. Could crush them, but rather not take risk of accident happening, okay?" He suggests. Afterwards, he drags the unconscious redbrand into the cell and sets him aside.

Karl growls at the Townmaster "any suspicious activity from you and you go right back in there" pointing at the cell, He then says to Nif "hey young'un are you leading us outa here soon cos I got a thirst coming on!"
The woman still looks quite dazed, but finally says, "I'm Mirna." She motions to the other, younger woman. "Nilsa." She turns and puts a hand gently on the boy's back. He steps forward automatically to stand beside Mirna, and stays very close to her. "And Nars." Nars is a head shorter than Mirna, and still baby-faced. The boy is watching Droop warily.
At Karl's growl at the townmaster, Wester replies, "Suspicious activity? You're the ones —" The woman at Wester's side places a hand on his arm, which shuts him up immediately. "Harbin, these nice folks have just rescued us. Can we please just leave?" She starts to stand, and Wester quickly gets to his feet to help his wife, though she looks like she can take care of herself just fine. Harbin's the one with a bruised face. She leads her husband out of the cell and reaches for one of the cloaks.
"A pleasure to meet you all. Sorry about, the uh.. unconscious fellow there. Figured we keep here until can be tried later." Vondal looks over to the Townmaster and his wife. "You /are/ goin' to do job this time, yes. And make sure ruffians are no longer allowed to operate in your fair town?" His question sounds simply curious on the surface, but there's an edge behind it along with a stern look.
Once Vondal had his answer, he turns and makes sure to help Droop hand out the cloaks if the other folk still seemed wary about Droop. "Were there anyone else taken band brought in not here?"He asks the most put together woman, Mirna.

As always, not being one to do the talking in these situations unless required, Nif will wait silently fiddling with his dagger. He will glare at the townmaster, as he complains but is otherwise expressionless as he fiddles with his dagger.
Mirna shakes her head as she accepts one of the red cloaks. "We were brought in a few days ago." Her mouth begins to quiver. "After they killed my Thel." The younger woman puts her arms around Mirna and buries her face in the woman's shoulder. Mirna doesn't break down, but steels herself. "They came in about a day ago, I would estimate," she says, nodding toward the townmaster and his wife.
"Showed up at our house," Harbin fusses, "asking about you. Threatening us. Threatening my Alisa," he says, his voice softening a little as he looks at his wife with worry.
She touches the side of his face. "Let's go home," she encourages him. She takes one of the cloaks and throws it around his big shoulders and clasps it at his thick neck.
"I... I am sorry for your loses. Both for love." He holds her eyes with his own for a few moments, then looks to the townmaster. "And time. Zander can explain things on way out. But I'd low until we get back to town. Or if you think you can, actually rally them this time against the redbrands."His expression turns stern. Then with a huff, he goes over to give both women one last comforting pat on the shoulder. And if allowed to, pats the boy on the head one last time before leaving them to get properly re-attired.
"I think that is what he is getting at Uncle. We still have to make sure place is cleaned out of trouble. But they can't stay here any longer. At very least he can escort them back to farm the way we came."Vondal looks over to Zander, narrows his eyes for a long moment, then breaks out into a wide smile. "Be back quick. 'nd if that Nothic fellow starts act'n up, give a shout." He says to Zander.
Once all have filed away without incident, he starts rubbing his hands together. "Right then! To the other door." And he leads the way to go inspecting the double doors. "Keep eye on skeletons. While they may allow redbrands through prison. Same might not be same for this path."
Nif will follow at the back of the party, his shortsword and dagger once again sheathed. He will collect it on the way out, and keep it ready to fire at any sign of threat.
As Zander leads the five prisoners through the crypt and up through the north door, Vondal, Karl, Droop and Nif move to the double doors. Vondal examines the doors. The doors are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors. As far as Vondal can tell, the doors are not trapped and are unlocked.
OOC: Zander, you'll take the group across the north bridge, then?
Vondal gives his neck a few more cracks, and even does the same with his back for good measure. Then with a chuckle, he finds a crevice or closest thing to a latch in the door to get a grip. "Don't know why I'm even nervous. It's a just a door." Despite his words, if he can start tugging or pushing the door open, he does so with a certain amount of wariness throughout the process. Thus, at a moment's notice he's prepared to dive back behind the doorway frame to avoid any danger.

Vondal veeeeery carefully opens one of the two doors. Looking in, he sees thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every 10 feet. The hall is 10 feet wide by 40 feet long. There is a corridor leading south at the other end.
Zander leads the group up the short hall, past the door to the armory, and through the secret door into the storeroom. He is followed by Harbin, Alisa, Nilsa, Nars, and Mirna.

Vondal shakes himself out of some momentary stupor and rubs his face. After taking a paranoid peek up at the ceiling, he steps in about five feet into the hallway and looks back at the room they came in from. "Hmm... Might be there may be more than just the two ways inside the place." He comments on aloud as he turns back to start walking down the hallway. "Either that, or it ropes around but.. why?" He half-mumbles the last part while keeping an eye out for any off-toned panels in the walls on the way.
"What about those double doors in the other room?" Karl says. "Do we want to leave straight away?" he finishes with.
