More sure of himself after taking a beat, Mattias straightens himself. Pulling his arm back, he sights the toads eyes along the shaft of his arrow. Holding his breath, he opens his fingers and lets fly.
Umuni ran just some feet in front of the cart to complete the guard with Tarkin at the back of it. (Standing on L14)

She grunts looking at the arrow sent by Mattias, it's easy to notice she's annoyed by it, as she decides to speak her mind about it. "Of course! I was unsure if it noticed us or not, but now I can be sure he knows we're here... How didn't I think about firing an arrow before?" The sarcasm is clear, but she decides to actually fire her own arrow, since it's not like there was a point in hiding anymore.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the two arrows land, Nadarr calls out, voice laced with vicious mockery. “HA! Foolish toad! You shall be the first to villain to fall to this band of the Rough Riders! You are the beginning of a legacy!”
(I'll just say it because it's relevant to Sneak Attack, but for all I know, we're not supposed to be having a surprise round, because we're supposed to have it only after we roll to stealth, and beat the oponent's passive wisdom, which in this case is a fail, since we didn't try to hide at all before the battle began, hence why Umuni complained about Mattias attacking.)
OOC We weren't being particularly stealthy and I'm not sure how we'd trap a toad hiding in a muddy riverbank. DM can decide how to run combat. I'm happy to slot into initiative and have the arrow be my first action. Although we don't know that the toads first action isn't being spent right now to emerge from the mud.
OOC Full or partial cover might mean my attack wasn't good enough. I leave my fate to the DM, but if we're to fight the toad, as I don't think it would give up it's glands willingly (I know I wouldn't) we need it out of its hiding place. I just didn't want to walk up to it to do it.
(OOC: I figured I would give you all a surprise round because I didn't say what the toad was doing. Also, for now the toad is under 3/4 cover, the dirt/mud layer wouldn't be very thick if you can see the eyes above ground. I'm just waiting for Tarkin's initiative roll.)
[Thardigord] Thardigord gets the feeling that it buried itself to keep hidden from the sun and it might have also been sleeping.
(OOC for @MoistBooks: Umuni just complained because she'd have liked to strike the target while he was unsuspecting, because she knows how to make use of that opportunity (Sneak Attack), there was no plan involving any traps. With that said, I as player don't really care, because the option without sneak attack gives me a chance for a bit of RP about her class and some of her personality, which is also good.)
Mattias and Umuni, you two watch as your arrows fly through the air and with a slight thud sound sink about half way into the ground, just under one of the creature's eyes. The ground from where the arrows hit begins to rise as a deep and loud croaking fills the air; dirt and mud stick to part of its warty, greenish brown skin. The croaking is suddenly cut of as it winces in pain from Nadarr's words, the creatures eyes closing and slightly sinking into it's head. As the creature finishes rising up from the group it turns towards the source of the attack and bellows another challenging croak. As everyone can now get a better look at this creature, it is confirmed that this is a giant toad.
Top of the round: Umuni, you are up. Mattias, you are on deck.

OOC I'm posting this in advance of @Pertuie, just so that combat can move a bit more freely.
Mattias continues circling the toad, moving to E10, nocking another arrow and extending to full draw as he moves. He releases the arrow.
"Best not let it get into the water!"
