Wex will stay towards the middle. As the day wears on, he falls into his aw shucks mercenary persona (less the brooding, sad warlock persona), and cracks a few jokes.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
You all set off for the day. Today's journey was easier, the day warm with the occasional big puffy cloud drifting in front of the sun. Sevrn leading the way, was able to find a small pond around mid day for the horses to water. A quick lunch and rest for everyone under the shade of a big willow before continuing on. The second half of the day you all start to notice a bright light in the sky towards your destination, where it stays constant. As the sun sets and that light never moving it becomes much more prominent in the sky. As the day fades into dusk you all find a small area near a rock outcropping to make camp for the night.
OOC: ok I need a watch order and Perception rolls for them. If anyone wants to make a basic INT or History(if proficient) roll for the light in the sky.
Before nightfall fully takes over, you all make camp and settle in around the campfire for dinner. Sevrn, Flynn, and Wex are wondering about the strange light on the horizon. It looks more like a bright star low on the horizon to the north, from all of your view points.
Theo looks at the group as we eat around the campfire, and is distracted by those looking up at the strange light.
"Have none of you ever visited Elturel? The city has magical light that illuminates the streets during the day and night. I hear its harmful to undead as well."
Theo then snickers.
"And harmful to quick get aways after a bad deal. No cover of night." He then laughs audibly to himself remembering something.
"I've been a couple times for some trades. It's a pretty big city and far too stuffy for my taste. They've clamped down a lot on 'non-government sanctioned trade'" Theo provides the air quotes. "And I've had a couple friends get into trouble with the guard for not really doing anything..well, wrong."
"I might be able to provide a contact, perhaps, if we were looking to better equip ourselves for any upcoming dealings with the cult. Provided anyone has the money." Looks to Wex.
"But I guess overall I think you'll like the city Sevrn. From what I've seen you'll fit right in."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After dinner chit-chat, everyone makes ready for bed. Sevrn performs his evening prayers and then with everyone else settled in, you make your rounds on watch. The bright star like light from the north ever present, becomes much more noticeable as the sun finally drops away. Your shift is quiet, you walk back to wake Flynn.
Flynn, you wake up very groggy. You slowly rise and get up, you stand there yawning for quite some time before finally getting your armor back on. You walk around the camp a bit trying to shake off the sleepiness. You're on your second lap when from out of nowhere, you're slammed into by something.
Grapple Attack: 15
OOC: go ahead and roll an Athletics or Acrobatics check to resist.
Flynn trails to the back of the group again

"Likewise... what else should we expect in Elturel?"
Theo smiles a bit and addresses the group.

Flynn you roll with the attack! Hitting the ground and breaking loose from the tackle, you spring up seeing two men before you, and others all around.
