Wex looks over at Theo. "No, dress him down, too. We don't want a fat-pursed merchant drawing attention. We'd best look like dangerous farmhands, though, lest we have to kill some others so far gone on their luck they'd eat their own."

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Theo looks at Wex a bit stunned when offered the crossbow. "Um, thanks...but I can't carry that or even pull back the string to load it. I'll just wait for the regular crossbow that Escobert said I could have."
"Also, I'll be taking standard issue clothing thank you. I only look this fancy right now because my outfit is magically enhanced. Don't worry, when we are traveling I won't look like I'm worth robbing." Theo takes a good quality replacement for any damaged clothes and cloaks from his time being imprisoned.
"And to your other question, the egg will stay here. I've already arranged for its pick-up."
"Are you sure about the crossbow? It has a crank, and it packs quite a punch... but I see what you're saying. I should have given it to the big man before he left. I guess we're all set then?" Wex will take a second helping of something portable, like bacon, and get himself ready to go. Dressed in nondescript traveling clothes with his stolen armor on underneath, he will be carrying no weapons but a small belt knife, and a quiver of mixed projectiles.

Escobert, along with Governor Nighthill have come with all of your requested supplies. Escobert, after handing off the items says, "Safe journey men and thank you for all the help. I wish there was more we could do to help." With that Governor Nighthill steps forward, digging in a sack he slung off his shoulder. "Perhaps I these will help you out, it's the least Greenest can do." He pulls out four Potion of Healing . and hands one to each of you.
With a send off from Escobert and Nighthill, you all head out towards Elturel. With horses it should take about 6 days of travel to reach the city. You set out around 9ish in the morning, the sky has a few big white fluffy clouds and the weather is perfect for traveling. Stopping for a rest around lunch time, you water the horses from a small brook before tying them off near some grass. A small breeze picks up but its a welcome coolness from the hot midday sun.
Continuing on after lunch the rest of the day goes without issue. Stopping near the main crossroads for the night you all find a good spot to make camp.
Wex will do all the things one does when camping, since as a mercenary, he's an old hand at stopping on the road. He will take the first watch, as well.

Once Theo has a crossbow and some bolts, and replenished water and rations he's ready to go.
"Let's head out. "

Theo will offer to spice up any food as needed via Prestidigitation and will help in a limited way with camping chores. He'll do a watch if asked.
As the night is dark and full of terrors, Theo will mage-armor ward himself late in the evening before he gets his rest.
Sevrn will pray as dusk hits, and will take the second watch, relieving Wex.
Flynn will take the last watch

You each set about getting the camp ready. Laying out bedrolls, getting a fire going, eating dinner. Night settles in and Wex takes the first watch.
