Everyone settles in after taking care of their personal affairs. Wex heads out to a spot where the firelight isn't bothering him too much. Leaning up against a large stump, you hear the now familiar voice in your head. Telling you to "practice again". You put out your hand, almost involuntarily. A puff dark purple smoke and a subtle "pop" sound, in an instant a dagger appears in your grip. The voice "again". You concentrate for but a split second the smoke and pop sound becoming more familiar as the dagger's form wavers and then a longsword is in your grip! A sly smirk plays on your lips for a minute as you practice your new found talents. The rest of your shift goes by without incident Wex, a rustling in a bush got you a little worked up, but after the scary racoon walked out of it your heart rate calmed back down. Waking up Sevrn, you settled in for some rest.
Walking a circuit around the camp Sevrn, you don't see much of anything going on. Your mind mostly thinking back on your dream? vision maybe? You're unsure of what it was. Once again you saw Sheverash. He came to you with affirmation, towards your path. You could feel it inside you. Once lost in this world just floating through, you now have a clear path on where to go and how to go about doing it. Spending the rest of your time up walking around the camp and thinking upon your god, nothing else happens. Your shift up you wake up Flynn.
Flynn, you start awake and stare at Sevrn for a moment, wondering why the elf maiden that was just massaging you looks rather manly and like Sevrn. Then you realize you're now awake....Your look changes to one of grumpiness as Sevrn heads to bed. You stand up and stretch then slip on your goggles before heading out to look around. about an hour later with the sky barely giving hints to a sunrise, you hear something coming from the road. Sneaking over quietly you crouch down behind a large tree trunk. Traveling down the road is a wagon. There's a man driving it with a team of oxen. You see 3 or 4 others walking around it. It passes you by and continues down the road. The rest of the night is quiet.
Theo, not ever being awakened once, you sleep well. Not as good as the cot back in Greenest, and not near as good as your bed back in the city! But it was well enough. Your dreams consisted of your contact delivering piles upon piles of coins to you for that amazing looking egg....at least it was amazing looking in your dreams...
Dawn comes and Flynn you make the rounds to start waking everyone up for another day of travel.
"Practice? Do you mean, am I a wizard?" he smiles ruefully. "No, just a fighting man who seems to have bitten off more than he can chew. Or not," and he apparates a small serrated blade, then makes it disappear. "I seem to have been adopted by some patron saint of sharp things. I confess, I do not know what I am doing most of the time. So yes, I guess... she has been asking me to practice the... gifts she has given me?"
"And you, Theo, how long have you been a wizard?"

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Theo scrunches his eyebrows looking concerned. "From what I've read its best not to make deals with unknown supernatural entities...it often doesn't end well...."
"Well, I was in an academy long ago..but that didn't work out so well so I made and learned mostly on my own after that. I do well and find what I need." Theo end that sentence with a smile
"I guess just be careful with what gifts you receive..especially if you are forced or tricked into doing something you don't want to do"
Wex laughs ruefully, with a significant glance at Sevrn. "I do seem to find myself in messes I shouldn't have no part of. This feels different... more like when someone gives you something, like gold, for something you're good at, so you can keep doing it... like a patron or something. She's an interesting one, for sure, comes in my dreams, all black feathers and sharp edges..." his eyes unfocus for a moment. Then he grins again. "Maybe I finally found a lasting relationship!"
"I've heard tell, and seen a bit, that wizards focus on one thing or another. One time, when I was with the Black Dogs out of Freestern, they paid a smelly old chap his weight in gold for one day's work. Kindly gent bout leveled the stockade we were sieging with fire after fire after explosion after fire. But I recall someone said he couldn't find his way out of a gunny sack with his magic."
"What're you best at, Theo, if it's not prying. I like to know where I can expect the best help from those at my side."

Theo raises an eyebrow wondering if Wex is getting on about an erotic dream or something....
"Well still, be careful...gods, demons and the like don't think the way we do..."
"Um, well to me magic is a wonderful tool so I try not to limit myself on what I learn. Though I am good at always having what I need and making things out of nothing."
At that he holds out his hand and an exact copy of the serrated blade that Wex summoned moments ago appears in his hand. Theo hands it to Wex.
"It's just a mundane copy of whatever you've been summoning. It will persist for about an hour unless you stab someone with it"
Wex looks it over. "You've a good eye. I have not yet mastered choosing exactly what manifests. I mean, I can pick sword, or axe, or bow. But what it looks like is often a bit of a surprise. This thing is too gaudy to be really useful These serrations are too deep, they'd get caught on ribs. This is meant as a statement, not a real tool. I think I just need to practice." He hands the created knife back to Theo.

The second day goes without any problems. Mid day comes and goes with a quick stop for lunch by a huge oak tree. As the day goes on though the weather starts to turn. Clouds form to the west and are starting to head your way. Luckily this leg of the trip ends you in the town of Berdusk. As the sun begins to set you start to see the outbuildings of a few farms and then up ahead a small town.

"Workers, merchants, or mercenaries?"
"Which way did they head? Greenest, or Elturel?" Wex asks, as he rouses himself.
ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he).

Elturel or that way anyways, probably a solo merchant, didnt look overly armed

"We should carry on... its likely we'll overtake the wagon at out pace."
Wex eats some breakfast, checks his horse, and mounts, ready to ride on.
When/if we do catch up to the merchants, Wex will approach them weaponless and friendly-like.

Flynn does the same, riding to the rear
playing the Black Bear on his pipes as they depart
Laissez les bons temps rouler
Theo eats his breakfast and packs up, giving himself a magical bath via Prestidigitation before they head out.
While they ride he does talk to Wex a bit.
"So, Green flames...and I think I saw you summoning a spectral weapon....do you practice?"
"Practice? Do you mean, am I a wizard?" he smiles ruefully. "No, just a fighting man who seems to have bitten off more than he can chew. Or not," and he apparates a small serrated blade, then makes it disappear. "I seem to have been adopted by some patron saint of sharp things. Theo doesn't take the knife, he just waves his hand with a smile and it vanishes.
"Well hopefully we won't need any weapons on the road...."
Sevrn, overhearing most of the exchange from the back with Flynn, finally pipes up. "Roads are where you need weapons the most."
