Kintu goes around the side of the house and withdraws into his shell, resting up for a few hours so he'll be ready for his night shift. Telling the others this is his plan so they don't think he's dead and try poking him
Dolf finds a bunch of various farming equipment and tools. Nothing that particularly stands out but if you got creative you might be able to rig up something.
Dolph intends to inform his group and the farmer of his plans so people can be arranged, livestock moved in advance, and others can help.- its 1ish? Monsters come after dark 8 or later? So fed and rested I've got an minimum 6 hrs to work if I'm unaided and take breaks?
Dolph will take some rope, chain, harness and string up trip wires on the path in. This will assume anyone not ranged attacking will be around the barn or house with the scarecrows coming in.- hopefully tripping will knock them prone
Additionally if there are any trees or arches gates he will take a plow or similarly heavy tool and balance it up tied to the trip wire home alone style to be pulled onto anything tripping the ropes(prone or not)
If there is any pitch, tar, or oil a bit can be poured in between the ropes(I'm picturing an agility ladder(s) setup) if a scarecrow is in it, especially prone, this could be ignited.
ooc-so you can see my priority in planning and reasoning-I plan on taking the first hour to move stuff where its needed. 2nd to tie and stake triplines. 3rd to hoist/secure plows. 4th apply oil. 5th camouflage the setup with grass, weeds, crops, dirt whatever. Leaves me with 1-2hrs if you think its be harder or if anyone else is working on something and needs help. Also if SP helps with the traps at least, it may take less.
Roll like a Perception or Investigation to find all the things you are looking for, and a Sleight of hand roll to set up and hide all these traps. Also you can have a point of Inspiration for this, that you can use now or save for later.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Perception 12 Investigation 6 Slieght of hand 3
Holding inspiration until I see the rolls, may edit....yep I want to add that.. d10? 10, if not just put what I get. I guess use it for the hiding I've got 50ft of rope on me I can use if I'm short and if I don't find anything flammable oh well

**so I'll take your 12 for Perception and the Inspiration gives you advantage on a roll, so if you want it for your Sleight of hand i can roll it for you. 15**

Dolf is able to find some rope and uses it to create 3 trip wires along some of the pathways
trees or arches gates he will take a plow or similarly heavy tool and balance it up tied to the trip wire home alone style to be pulled onto anything tripping the ropes
You rig up a heavy plow blade, so it should fall when one of the tripwires is tripped, but its hard to hide it, you hope it will be harder to see at night
pitch, tar, or oil a bit can be poured in between the ropes(I'm picturing an agility ladder(s) setup) if a scarecrow is in it, especially prone, this could be ignited.
You don't find any useful flammable liquids around the farm
So if we're at the house or barn and scarecrow(s) show up tonight there's a chance they get hurt, or prone, or tangled(grapple) or multiple before we have to do anything ...good
SP will stand in the middle of the field near where there are the most scarecrow prints, in his sleep state where he can still see and hear but is not moving and technically resting
So you all make preparations and get some rest and night falls. The Genasi farmer stays locked in his home, to let you all do what you came here to do. Are you all spreading out or staying near the farmhouse?
Tell me where each of you are waiting and roll me a Perception check.

Dolph goes to the barn to see what he can find, trap material, torches etc. 10

**anybody else want to do anything before i fast forward to night time?**
Kintu is just sleeping before night and then plans to ritual cast unseen servant
Dihek'nir will assist Dolf with his work and will try to use stuff from his Disguise Kit to help make the plow a bit harder to notice at night.
Cool, you put some like dark coloured dust on it to take away the shine and make it a bit more camouflaged.
SP, just waiting?
As he works Dolph reminds the others that they want to take one alive if possible to find the cause.

Kintu is trying to stand out in the field from the house and barn. Light cast upon his staff.
Perception: 17
SP is in the middle of the field in whatever appeared to be the most trafficked area. 11
Perception 11
Dolph is by the barn if possible within 30ft of the traps so he can move in on anything.
