"I wouldn't mind doing a little...competing...with those high born kids," Isk says with a laugh, "But you're right, we need to be on our toes. Could be that the riches of the maze are a lie, simply bait to bring people in to spend their coin in the town before getting killed in the maze. Could be that all the stories of success are also lies. Could be that we should just hang it up and head home..." Isk shrugs and smiles, "But we've traveled all this way, we should probably check it out."
When they get to the blacksmith, Isk will introduce himself (he hasn't been here yet) and ask if they have any especially nice warhammers or mauls for sale.
Griff bellows out again as Nam’s foot catches fire for a moment before he stomps the dirt to put out the fire. Griff stretches out his arm and fingers towards Nam.
“Careful Nam’nha! Hahah. Just to let you guys know... the fire we give away our location. I spoke to some other people heading to the maze and based on our altercation at the tavern it seems we are being viewed as competition.” Griff pulls back his hand and goes back to petting, Lucky.
Flint will Look to Griff after letting out a hard laugh. "How can we cook this meat without a fire friend?" Pausing a moment to think of another solution. "Also, it is getting dark.. It a camp fire may help our friends find us easier..."
“I’m not saying we SHOULDN’T just letting you guys know what I do. Looking out there it doesn’t seem like many people are all that concerned about it... you’re right about the meat and the rest of the team though... always the voice of reason...” Griff pulls the goggles off his eyes and rests them over the read headband tied around his forehead under his hair. “Turn up the heat, Nam let’s eat!”
At the mention of the word “eat”, Lucky raises her head and perks up her ears. Griff slides one of the rabbits off the skewer and throws it onto the ground infront of him “There you go girl, you’ve earned it”
"I might be good at keeping us out of trouble.. but it is thinking like yours that will help keep us all alive buddy" Flint will say, standing up and taking a step back so that Nam can get the fire going.
OOC: Griff lit a fire already my dudes but sure your banter was A+ hilarious!
"Ah friends," Gilly says with a smile. Garret sees oddly no added security. It seems hammer-wielding Tamara is enough to keep thieves or troublemakers at bay! "Something you forgot," she asks looking to Garret but then looks at Isk with a cocked eyebrow at his holy symbol as a broad smile creeps across her pretty face moving closer before she speaks. "You've come a long way from the sanity of our lord ser," she says in hushed tones with a soft smile. "We have hammers and mauls plenty," she adds before holding up her hand and rushing outside.
The hammering you've heard since you entered the shop next to the forge clatters to a stop. You then hear raised voices before the hulking frame of a muscled woman with short dark hair comes into the shop with the petite elven woman behind her tugging her towards Isk.
"See," Gilly says pointing to his holy symbols with a soft reassuring smile.
"Yeah, I can see," Tamara replies still looking warily at the both of you but less at Garret wearing Gilly's leathers. The woman's soot-smudged face still looks hard. "I didn't realize the temple sent fools here to die," she then says looking only at Isk. "Where'd you come from then?" Tamara aks with a hard expression as if she's studying you.
Tamara casts detect thoughts she is not probing Isk so surface thoughts/truths will be revealed to her. PM me Guilty or post in a spoiler tag here.
OOC: This is a map below. Notice Carrowkeel as well as Sul Na Mara on the coast where the brats and their bodyguards are from. History checks for more info on markers but everyone in the Empire of Talamh know the map.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
OOC: To example the map. Talamh is human dominated. Coarthann is the mountain fortress abandoned by dwarves. It's dominated by humans and dwarves. This is where the human Emperor Aurelian the I is the rules ALL of Talamh. He does have a council of elves, gnomes, halflings, and dwarves too who weigh in for their races but their numbers are small in comparison to humans. Think Narnia after the Telmarines invaded, less magic and magical peoples. ALL Orcs are still basically savage races here so a half-orc raises eyebrows. Foraois is the former elven kingdom annex by the Emperor its a city in ancient trees. it's dominated by elves, half-elves, and humans. Ferim is the farmland/bread basket of Talamh dominated by gnomes, halflings, and humans. Sul Na Mara is the port city lots of commerce lots of races gather here. Other smaller cities named on the map are near geographic regions. Loughcrew's a small port city, Triskele has no port but sheer cliffs to the sea, Windstaff is a desert. Whitespear is a port city but is plagued by rough seas. The White Waste is a wintery wasteland of myths where a God being raised decimated Talamh centuries before and started the decline of the magic breeds elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings and saw the rise of humans.

"Come now, there's no need for such things, " Isk says and offers a soft, genuine smile as he accepts the effects of Detect Thoughts without contesting it via the wisdom save, "I'm from Ferim, where I help keep the farmers safe from marauding Orcs. After being in this town for a bit, I understand why you are slow to trust. The followers are Cyric can't be trusted and I imagine you get a lot of use from that spell."
Isk turns his palms up and then cocks a thumb at Garret, "I'm here for these guys. They are friends from years passed and came to the maze for the various riches is offers. When Flint, I think you met him before, asked me to come along, how could I say no? Torm demands loyalty and service, and he has set me on a path to deliver his message to whatever foulness lives in the maze." He says, patting the pommel of his hammer before turning his hand up again, "If you are able to help me with a blessed hammer, I would grateful, and if there is anything I can do for you in return, I am oath-bound, and honored, to do so."

"I have no blessed weapons but fine ones indeed," Tamara answers.
Tamara then gestures to a rack of mauls, warhammers, and maces. They range in basic necessity to elaborate scroll work and detail. There's 3 hammers, 2 mauls, and 4 maces.
OOC: Anything +1 will be 1000 gp to start plus enchantment if any.
"Starting at 15 gold pieces to 2000," Gilly speaks up. "Our quality is such not another forge is open for miles," she adds grinning.
"This is indeed a fine weapon. I have not seen the like of its craftsmanship." He puts it back down saying, "Sadly, I do not have the coin to purchase this. With a weapon of this quality, i would have little need for the two I carry now. Perhaps you would take a few items of mine in addition to some gold? I would have no need for my warhammer and also, " He says, taking off his Cloak of Perception, "This cloak I wear has magic of its own. It would not be something you sold with your other wares, true, but you would not want to. Being surrounded by followers of Cyric, its magic would help you notice what might have otherwise gone unnoticed."
"The fruits of your forge are truly exceptional and worth every piece of gold you're asking for them. How much would you lower the price if I included my hammer and this magic cloak in the exchange?"
"Come now, there's no need for such things, " Isk says and offers a soft, genuine smile as he accepts the effects of Detect Thoughts without contesting it via the wisdom save....

Gilly frowns as does Tamara. "We don't really take exchanges for our hard won efforts," Tamara replies. "Coin is what keeps the shop running. Hendrick sells magic items here and doesn't take kindly to those who meddle in his business," she explains further. "Following Cyric he's not one to insult," she adds firmly.
"I offer a well made war hammer but even sharing the same God...I can not except trade," Tamara repeats. "I hope you understand," she adds firmly.
OOC: +1 weapon is out of y'all price range but there's other weapons available. Karnic you wanted to swap out something right? RP it up bro!

Over in the camp the sunset has nearly set. The party is halved with Nam, Flint, and Griff seated around a crackling fire and the others still in town as nightfall quickly approaches. Looking into the distant forest just beyond their clearing several sets of eyes low to the ground after reflecting the firelight and a faint drumming can be heard from another camp as well as laughter from Gen and Finn's site. The mood for the evening seems jovial in the face of the following evening where individual you have surmised the maze will open.
Metagaming pigeons says "might be a good time to share everything everyone's gathered on their own with the party about the maze but possibly when the party has reunited."

Karnic looks at the maces and shakes his head overhearing the prices for them and walks over to Isk, "It seems like what we are both looking for here are just a tad out of our price range. Hopefully Torm and Lliira will provide for us in the maze when it is needed. Our time is also getting short and I think I hear that Dwarf sharpening his weapons."

"That does seem to be the case, Karnic." Isk says then turns back to Tamara and Gilly, "I understand. Again, if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. May Torm bless you and your shop, keeping both safe from the perils that surround."
Isk will then head out with Karnic and attempt to find the other at the camp outside, unless Karnic needs to go somewhere else first.
"If we cannot afford these weapons perhaps we should spend the remaining gold on the bag of holding at the magic shop. We can use it hold more food and of course treasure. "
He looks to them
"I can make those purchases quickly and then we can head out."
