"I can not tell you what Zen is. All people will eventually know, but they will only be able to know in their own time and way. Maybe even in the next life." He stares at you expectantly.
"Next life?... You border heresy... Perhaps we should cease this discussion before a line is crossed... (more quietly as if whispering) at least for now..."
An older human man in vestments approaches with a young boy following a few steps behind and slightly to the side. The boy wears as similar vestments, though a bit different.
"Ah. Here are the visitors rumored to be helping our fair town. I have a bit of a request or perhaps a quest of a rather confidential nature."
"Yeah, and it's creepy. You never know when he's gonna turn up, or if he's always there and just makes himself known sometimes, what he wants, nothing." Zander shudders.

"Seems to be that the area is not what it seems." Wijen seems entirely unphased despite the statements already made. Turning to the clergyman he asks "What thing do you require?"
He looks around the room then lowers his voice a bit. "Our church has been, until recently, protected. It is said the bones of St. Andral himself being sealed in the crypt below give us protection from....him."
Father Lucian makes a sign to ward off evil. "Recently, however, I have noticed things that, though not entirely strange in themselves, when put together, seem to imply the protection is either gone or weakened. For example, the mists now come up right to the walls of the church at night, when before they left a space. It seems someone may have broken into the crypt in the last few days and removed the bones. The boy here, Yeska, was fearful and I believe to ease his fears, I mentioned the bones to him a little over a month ago."
The boy cowers a bit beside him as Father Lucian continues, directing a slight glare at him. "I asked Yeska if he had mentioned the bones to anyone else, and, though he nodded, he would not divulge a name. We are not a rich church by any means, but if you could delicately investigate this matter for me, I could pay you wach 10 gold pieces." He looks to you hopefully.
Wijen slowly approaches the boy and both gently and quietly asks "Who would it be that you spoke to about some bones I've heard about? It will keep you and your fellows safe to have them returned. It would be truly tragic for you to have to leave this place of respite for simply not speaking about such a thing." The grung does his best to be comforting but careful not to touch him.
"Zen? I'm not sure I am familiar with that word. It is not something those that follow the Raven Queen practice."
"Zen is what I call Zennas for short." Zander laughs and elbows Zennas to try to get him to laugh too.

“Well we do need Zennas!” Lae smirks.
Hello, interesting choice of spoon, I prefer silver myself, less splinters.

"So what things has this house of piety in store for us? Perhaps a nice view of simple beauties in life?"
An older human man in vestments approaches with a young boy following a few steps behind and slightly to the side. The boy wears as similar vestments, though a bit different.

"So shall this menagerie of fellows assist you?"
(OOC: Have I noticed anything following me?)
(Go ahead and roll a history check.)
(I rolled an 8 for history.)
(You do not remember seeing anyone.)
"Not that I recall, though if there were and I had seen them, they wouldn't have been doing a very good job." Letharran says, shrugging.
“It would seem though the figure following, or watching us hasn’t exactly tried to make their presence unknown to us.”
"Yeah, and it's creepy. You never know when he's gonna turn up, or if he's always there and just makes himself known sometimes, what he wants, nothing." Zander shudders.

"What is it with the "mists" anyway? Everyone talks about them, and we've seen them, but what are they?"
