"A moment before you go, Dori." Sizan says, seated slumped over at the edge of his bed. He says nothing though for at least a lengthy moment; so fixated was he on still gathering his thoughts. "... I cannot thank you, for what you and others have done to bring me back. It was... unnecessary. Wrong... I-... The Harpers would've -- could have sent someone else in my place to aid you. Someone more... fitting for this... group."He combs a hand roughly through long, black locks of hair, pushing back his bangs in the only sign of visible irritation.
"My competency aside, you all had nothing to gain except someone indebted to you. Even if that wasn't your intentions... I just..." He starts clutching his head. Then with sigh, he drops his hands to the side. "I'm not making much sense. This whole ordeal... I am sorry." He finally looks Dori directly in the eyes. "For not being sorry, and... and when you see the others, tell them... I'll keep an eye on elf and half-orc while there here. Much as I can. So if you find other work... and someone else, in the meantime... Don't let this little bump in the road, slow you down." He tries to convey some meaningful last look after; but, by this point, his eyes have started to lose their focus. If not forced back into laying down, he does so sloppily after catching himself from falling face first into the floor.

Winter makes it difficult to tell but you pick out a tree who's limbs look more dry and frail than the rest, bury the coin and say the prayer. You mentally mark the tree so you may check on it in the future.
(
Ok, so Sizan's on bedrest, Dori's in the bar and you two are leaving Phaulkonmere. You have to still identify the elf and half-orc, and now have a Necromancer to deal with. You also have the mansion, and then still have no real leads on the stone ...
(Unless Cloudfur wants to do anything different I assume we would now head back to the yawning portal to meet with the others? We can then spend some time while recovering there to look for the elf and half-orc?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Assuming we get back to the Yawning Portal with nothing eventful happening)
Gargan
Upon entering the portal Gargan would stop and cast his gaze over the patrons currently inside to see if anyone matching the Elf or Half-Orcs description is currently in. perception:13
Alright, you and Cloudfur make it back to the portal around early evening. At this point, the place is packed to the gills with Bonnie and the other servers madly running around taking orders and serving drinks and food. The sound of the crowd is loud, and over the top you can only barely hear the melodies produced by Threestrings up on the stage. He seems to be having a good time regardless as those nearby seem quite enthusiastic.
Looking through the crowd, keeping Maxeene's description in mind you do in fact find two individuals that seem to match. One is the large, blue half-orc that was involved in the rumble you had here the other night with the troll. You seem to recall your previous companion Varis knew her. She's sitting at the bar talking to Durnan and watching the crowd, with a half-full mug of ale in one hand with a newly poured one sitting on the bar waiting.
Off in a booth in the corner - close to where you initially sat with Volo, you see an elf with long blonde hair wearing a blue tunic. He has a lute propped up beside him, and is engaged in what looks like a rather intense conversation with a pair of individuals sitting across from him.
Gargan taps Cloudfur on the shoulder and points out the two of them to him. “We have two of them here, we need to try and find out where they stay. I have an idea for that one at the bar which involves Dori and a lot of drinking but the Elf I’m not so sure about. Do you think you could perhaps follow him when he leaves as a small animal using your talents?”
Taking note of the elf, he nods at Gargan "I think I can handle that..." and he'll grab an empty mug and move to a location between the elf and the front door where he can keep an eye on the elf while pretending to drink out of the empty mug.
As Cloudfur starts to move off Gargan simply says “Good luck friend.” and gives him a nod.
With that Gargan goes in search of Dori. When he finds him he says with a wide grin on his face “Well hello my big friend, how do you fancy spending the night trying to drink a half-orc into the floor?”
Cloudfur finds a table close enough to keep an eye on the elf without looking obvious. Gargan goes in search of Dori, but he is nowhere to be found at this point.
Unable to find Dori Gargan heads over to the bar next to where the Half-Orc is drinking and talking to Durnan. As he arrives and sits down he starts by ordering a drink "Excuse me Sir, if I may might I order a bottle of wine?"
As he finishes doing so he turns casually towards the Half-Orc and says to her "Ah! Greetings, you were my Troll-Slaying companion from a few days prior if I am not mistaken? Twas Quite the skirmish was it not!"
Durnan looks at you, looks at Yagra, and back at you. He's been around and has a keen eye with people. He leans over and quietly says "Aye .. i have wine, but I think you'd be better off with this." he slams a bottle of some kind of dark liquor on the table with a couple of glasses. "I'd put it on your tab but I'm not sure you'll live long enough to pay it .. so that's 2 dragons".
Yagra initially looks over at you, grunts and looks back to her drink. When the bottle lands on the bar, she is more interested. "Hah, yes. Not much of a fight but a little excitement is always fun. You going to drink that on your own lizard man?"
Gargan nods to Durnan in thanks and passes him 2 dragons. He looks the bottle over for a moment before he turns to Yagra and pours two glasses of the dark liquor before he passes a glass to Yagra and replies "Better a bottle shared friend. A nice bit of excitement indeed, was my first encounter with a Troll would you believe? I have just this day returned from Undercliff where I was involved in quite the skirmish with a trio magical constructs. Most interesting arcane beasts they were and quite durable too, you would have enjoyed that one."
"That'll do. I like your style! Your fight can't have been that bad - you look fine. Good fights leave marks. Like this." She lifts her arm to reveal a deep scar running down the underside of it, disappearing beneath her leather vest. "Poor bugger that did that ..well he won't be doin' it again. Or anything else. hah!"
Not being shy she grabs the bottle, refills her glass and downs it again. She nods at your drink. "That glass ain't goin' to drink itself lizard man".
In his head Gargan lets out a deep mental sigh...Dori friend, if only you could see me now...
With that he lifts his own glass and also tosses back the contents of the drink. Turning to Yagra he replies "Quite the mark, I'm sure you did let the fellow know how you felt!" He says with a chuckle. "I may be fine, only a few cuts and bruises, but the blasted gizmo's took down one of our number. They were quite savage and put a couple of our group on the ground, unfortunately one of them didn't get back up."
He then pours another glass for them both. "I'm sure you've seen plenty of companions leave this plane yourself. Let us drink to those who stand beside us in combat." With that he lifts his glass in a toast, and if she reciprocates downs the second glass.
She pauses for a moment, then kind of huffs, nods, clinks her glass to yours and drinks it. She glances over as the front door opens, and slides off her stool. She slaps her hand on your shoulder. "Name's Yagra. Well met. Thanks for the drinks and sorry about your friend. I've business to attend to".
She walks off towards the entrance. You look over to see the figure who had entered - a gnome draped with a black cloak. She converses with him briefly and the two start walking towards the back of the room.
Meanwhile, the conversation between the elf and his two compatriots winds down, one of them drops a small pouch on the table and the unceremoniously slide out of the booth and leave. The elf slides the pouch out of sight. As they do, Yagra and the gnome approach. She leaves the two of them to talk but hangs back nearby, leaning against the wall.
Using his message cantrip Gargan sends Cloudfur a secret message across the tavern “The half-orc is named Yagra friend. It seems they have gathered for business, let us continue to watch them and try to find out where they stay when they leave. If they split up I will follow the gnome, he seems important.”
