Gargan
As the bird explodes Gargan immediately looks up towards the figure who sent it. Seeing that they had disappeared he glances over at Cloudfur as he declares the moment proof of his statement about constructs. "I'm starting to get quite wary of them myself friend, we haven't exactly had any good experiences with them lately. We should certainly approach those inside the temple cautiously."
As he moves closer to the temple doorway he kneels down where the bird exploded and begins to examine the debris left over for anything of note. As he does he gives Jack a quick glance and says "Are you hurt? Did it catch you at all?"" before continuing with his examinations.
Slowly but surely, Jack comes out of her cocoon looking more confused over her current surroundings than fearful of anything. "What what? Oh! Uhmm…. n-no. " She clears her throat, and quickly gets to her feet, brushing off any stray snow and grime. Grinning she adds, "I'm fine! Really! That just.. uhm.. startled me more than I expected. Heh.. Shall we go inside?" She asks, and if not objected to would lead the way inside the building.

Gargan: You kneel down to look through the debris but there is little left but scraps of metal.
Jack/others that follow:
Pulling open on the large front doors you emerge into the main hall of the temple. The room is abuzz with activity with several acolytes working to maintain exhibits or engaged in conversations. Down the center of the hall are two rows of a dozen marble pedestals. Each one bears some kind of contraption or extraordinary creation, with plaques mounted nearby describing their purpose or function. Several doorways lead out to other rooms from the massive hall.
Satisfied that he won't find anything useful from the bird Gargan gets up and follows after Jack into the hall. As he draws alongside her he gives her a quick look to let her know he's glad she's okay after the attack before he turns his attention to the spectacle before them. Moving over to one of the closest acolytes who is busy maintaining one of the exhibits he speaks to them while looking over whatever contraption it is they happened to be working on with much curiosity.
"Excuse me. I do hope I'm not spoiling your concentration but we have come to talk to someone at your wondrous hall here about an encounter we have had with a construct of some sorts. We hoped we might find some useful information here from the disciples of Gond, would you be able to point us in the right direction at all?"
Before entering the temple and once Gargan is done investigating what is left of the bird, the tabaxi will gather up what pieces are left and storm off in to the temple.
After Gargan makes his polite request, Cloudfur walks past him and loudly exclaim "Who in here dare attack a druid of Silvanus with one of your aberrations?"" and without waiting for an answer he will fling the bits of broken bird upon the floor in front of him. Satisfied he has made his point, he will stand there with his arms crossed waiting.
(OOC - Cloudfur puts the chaotic in chaotic neutral hehe)
As soon as her eyes met with Gargan, Jack looks away seeming embarassment. She otherwise kept quiet, and even hid behind him altogether as CLoudfur storms up with aquisitions. "Uh... Cloudfur? Technically, it went after me. Don't know why, but it did. But thanks for being angry for me, I guess?" She glances around, smiling a forced smile at the other acolytes. "But yes. It is as my friends are saying. We could use some help."

Gargan walks in and approaches an acolyte near a rather strange looking exhibit (although that term is somewhat relative in this place). The item on the pedestal is a 'waking helmet', equipped with small, articulated metal arms and hands that gently slap the wearer if he or she falls asleep. Although a strange approach, it does indeed appear to work and if you really needed to stay awake it would get the job done.
As Gargan finishes his query Cloudfur storms in. Most of the individuals near the entrance stop what they are doing and kind of stare in some combination of fear and curiosity. Before one of them figures out what to do, a bronze Dragonborn in blue robes appears in one of the nearby doorways and approaches you. She waves the acolytes off and they begin to resume their previous tasks, keeping a sidelong glance on you.
"I'm Valetta, one of the priests of the temple. It seems you've had some trouble, which I can try to help with if we can just all stay calm.."
"Jack. Just Jack. Pleasure to meet'cha!"Jack hops over offering her hand for a shake, relief as clear on her face as her genuine niceness in the moment. As soon as she so much as catches Cloudfur stepping up out of the corner of her eyes, she turns wary, and even readily tries to catch him should he get too invasive. But in the meantime, she goes on to say, "You have the right of it. I doubt the news has spread this far, but there was some trouble not just outside this building, but back in the Castle Ward. Something about aaaa--hm. Nimblewright, I think they're called? Only more humanoid, and causing quite the explosive ruckus."

Valetta, still a bit on edge: "We do have nimblewrights here, but they are accounted for. If there was one in the Castle Ward, it is not known to us. What trouble outside our building?"
Most conversations in the room have ceased. The others are trying to maintain the appearance of continuing with their work but are clearly keeping a crooked ear on your group. A few additional people have also filtered in.
Jack furrows her brows at Valetta, then turns to the others, halfway expecting at least Cloudfur to burst forward insulting the dragonborn. "A construct like a bird, I think? Someone tossed it from your roof tops at us." She explains, mildly annoyed at the resurgence of the memory. "Or at least, it was thrown in our direction. /I/ tried to run inside earlier to see if I could get someone to call it off. But you know what it did? It veered towards ME!" She cross her arms and sighs. "I only just barely managed to leap to the side in time to avoid getting practically blown up along with it."Jack narrows her eyes. "Now, ya got a name for whoever's responsible? Or at least who might've been up top trying to hurt folk?"

Kanus listened to the story and at the appropriate time sort of sneered to let the Dragonborn their intent on finding the culprit. He wasn't sure this was the right place, or rather that someone at the temple itself was to blame, but maybe someone the temple was aware of, it wasn't too far a stretch to imagine that they would at least be aware of someone making constructs just like their own.
"Someone on the roof you say." She pauses for a moment and considers. "And you think this is somehow related to this other .. incident you speak of? How is it that you end up on our doorstep with these accusations? Persecution for our innovative research and inventions is not foreign to us so you'll forgive me if I don't leap at this suggestion."
"Well.. not directly related, maybe?"Jack pushes her fingers together nervously. "It's more.. there's a witness that saw what looked like one of your creations, only more... humanoid on one of the rooftops and-..." She looks around to the other inventors, eyeing them warily for any sign of too much interest or worry in the conversation. "...throwing the thing that caused the explosion by Trollskull alleyway. Some type of magic bead or something -- an-anyways! We don't-..."She eyes the Tabaxi. "/I/ don't mean to sound all accusatory 'n all that. We just.. we just need help is all. If not on how this came about then, at least some means to track down any that might've been... well... misplaced? Just say'n. You guys seem awfully busy, so it's kind of hard to imagine that a thing or two might go missing every now and then."

Looking around you notice that almost all other conversation has ceased. The other acolytes are trying to appear to be going about their business but you see the odd sidelong glance towards you. You also notice that others have joined them. You don't feel threatened necessarily, but there is for sure a heightened tension in the room.
Valetta raises one of her hands to her mouth briefly as if she had a sudden realization. "I don't know of what you speak, and I know that none of our Nimblewrights are astray. However, I do suspect I know, at least, who may have been responsible for your little incident outside. Follow me".
She leads you through a doorway, down another hall to another door that opens into a spiral staircase, which you begin to ascend. As you walk she elaborates: "We have three nimblewrights. Two have been with us for quite some time - one of our senior priests came into possession of them when travelling across the sea in Kara-Tur. The third is a .. more recent acquisition. A Lantanese wizard came through Waterdeep about a year ago. We granted him residence while he was here and in return he gifted us a third nimblewright.
This newer one is somewhat different than the others. He has ..more personality, and is seemingly more intelligent than the others. I would not consider him dangerous and do not think he is responsible for this attack of yours .. but I do suspect he was who you saw on the roof. He has a habit of building small contraptions like that. They are fairly harmless - more show than anything. I think he actually does it out of boredom. His room is within the spire - just here."
You arrive at a closed door at the top of the stairs. Valetta reaches out for the handle and then stops. "Odd she says - it's locked, and it looks like this lock has been replaced recently." She knocks a couple of times - "Nim! We have some visitors here. Can you open the door so we can speak?". Silence from behind the door, though you do hear a bit of rustling inside.

Jack
"Don't see why not, K. If he's got as much personality as it sounds, its bound to be less trouble for everyone to give it -- him... they..."She shakes her head. "I'm just gonna say Third. Uh, but yeah, don't see why not. Though giving Third a lock seems a bit much if still just construct." Jack admits, eyeing Kanus's axe hand warily. "And maybe we use a less property damaging approach?"She looks up to Kanus, smiling awkwardly, then to Valetta she adds, "I don't suppose this replaced lock is one you might key for.. right?"
Upon hearing a negative answer, Jack sighs and starts slipping tools from her sleeves. Though before she gets to work, she looks to Valetta for the okay to use them. Even if given the go ahead however, the Harper calls out to Nim. "This is really important we speak you, Nim. Like, REALLY important. I'm not even mad about the whole thing outside that happen. We just need to talk. And... well, help before the Watch gets involved. It's only a matter of time before they get on this same thread... Their good people among them, but sometimes they can get a bit heavy handed about things."
If after she speaks the door remains locked, and Valetta has given the go ahead, she will try to pick the lock.
At the sound of rustling in the room after the discovery of locks being changed Gargan turns to Valetta with a concerned look and adds to what Kanus has said while Jack attempts to get permission to pick the lock: "More over, the construct appears to have changed the locks to their room without your knowledge. Surely this is a most suspicious discovery that must cause you some concern?"
