Val's scales turn red for a moment. He then looks up at Flip. "Voice? I didn't hear anything" Val heads over to his horse and grabs the reigns. "Is there any writing or anything on the potions?"
Daar puts on the cloak and instantly feels super pumped, gnarly even! Although she isn't aware how or why cloak of the bat has just donned her mighty shoulders.
Daar swooshes around her new cloak, getting used to it. "As a Dragonborn , I'm flesh and blood, I can be ignored, I can be destroyed; but as a symbol..." She flaps the cloak "As a symbol I can be incorruptible, I can be everlasting."
"Dang Daar.... you are not the bard we deserve..... but you are the bard we need right now...... " Flip will say as he thinks about the very deep words shared by his dragonborn friend.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grim gathers everything out of the chest, handing the goggles over to Flip. "Anyone want a new staff?" he asks, indicating the collapsed staff. He throws the cloak around his own shoulders. "How do I look?" he asks as he strikes a pose. "Anyone need the lantern? I can see just fine in the dark without one," he says, setting the lantern on the floor of the wagon. He inspects the gold-encased ruby before putting it in his pack for now, then tries playinig a few notes on the flute. (Performance: 2) It doesn't go well.
"I heard the voice as well. I'm inclined to agree with it..."
Item pan flute of sleep: When a creature plays this pan flute in can cast sleep. A DC10 performance check is required however or the creature and any other creature within 20ft fall asleep. Roll 8d8; the total is how many hit points of creatures this spell can affect. Creatures within 20 feet of a point you choose within range are affected in ascending order of their current hit points (ignoring unconscious creatures). Starting with the creature that has the lowest current hit points, each creature affected by this spell falls unconscious until the spell ends, the sleeper takes damage, or someone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake. Subtract each creature’s hit points from the total before moving on to the creature with the next lowest hit points. A creature’s hit points must be equal to or less than the remaining total for that creature to be affected. Undead and creatures immune to being charmed aren’t affected by this spell.
(so are there 2 lanterns then? one from the cloak and one from the chest?)
(I think what fell out o fthe cloak when I put it on was just a piece of paper listing various items. Basically telling us what ll the other stuff actually is)
So before we head out, does anyone need any healing? I mean I feel great and herbert is looking good too so really I think we can probobly go but if anyone needs healing I can do it... or I guess you can drink one of these mystery potions!" Flip will pop the cork on one of them and sniff it "I am pretty sure this one is bublegum flavor... there is NO WAY that this one is poison!"
"Hey, look at this," Grim says, holding up the list. "These are all magical! All these patches come off of this cloak and become various items!" He passes the list around for the others to see.
(Easier than explaining em all myself :P. Also, since I tried to play the flute, do I need to roll the 8d8 to see if I put people to sleep with my terirble performance? :P)

26 <----------------------------- everyone with LESS than these hit points are now asleep. BUT because I'm nice and a LOT of posts are after this one I'll just say Grim now has a disadvantage on ALL performance checks for the rest of his life.

Flip will hand the potions to Val

Flip will toss the googles on his head, looking through them at his friends. "Thanks Grim!"

"Flip, those are all healing potions. According to the list at least." Grim tosses the flute to Daar. "Have at it. We should probably get moving."
