(Damage from shortbow is actually 1d6, so we'll reroll that one die here. 3)
The creature takes another arrow to its already injured chest, taking 8 damage. It howls in rage and pain. The bubbling steam over the pond intensifies as his cries grow louder.
For Rad:
The creature shouted while howling in Aquan. You understand pieces of what he shouted, amounting to "come" "destroy" and "pests."
The creature howled in pain and bit at the tall Fighter that cut it, dealing 10 damage before stabbing at the armored Cleric next to him, dealing 12 damage. Rad felt the harpoon penetrate his chest and it being yanked back out of him, but didn't feel his back hit the ground. He was unconscious before that happened.
It remained restrained, but its angry shouts drew the attention of something in the water. The steam coalesced into two vaguely humanoid shapes. They seemed to be some sort of elemental, and they looked hot.
The Dryad reappeared and ran to Cor's unconscious form. She summoned a handful of Goodberries with a Goodberry and force-fed one to the unconscious half-elf. Cor suddenly regained consciousness, though he still had a big hole in his torso. She placed eight Goodberries on the ground next to Cor, but kept one in her hand as she stared up at the monstrosity in front of her.
Cor mumbles a quick phrase and hurls a glob of magical acid at the monster, only feet away. The acid engulfs the creature's head and it screams in agony as its scales and flesh begin to melt underneath the corrosive magic. It disintegrates into a disgusting blue puddle on the grass.
The party now only faces the two creatures made of steam, hovering above the water.

Twig's arrow passes through the steam creature on the left, but leaves a trail of steam as it entered the waters of the pool beyond. The monster hisses in reaction and pain.
Seeing that Cor had been revived, but still had a hole in his chest, Garth moved to stand between his companion and the their new for. He held his shield, ready to help defend Cor.

Garth digs deep within himself and feels completely rejuvenated, just as if he hadn't been fighting at all. He grabs a Goodberry and force-feeds it to Rad, just the way he saw the Dryad do for Cor moments ago. Rad's eyes pop open and he also returns to consciousness despite the gaping hole in his torso.
The Steam Mephits, undeterred by the attacks on them, repositioned themselves near Rad and blew out Steam Breaths, burning Rad, Cor, and Garth at the same time.

Rad and Cor are only touched by the outer edges of the steam, but the heat coupled with their previous injuries is enough to put them down again. Garth, unfortunately, takes the full brunt of the steam and feels his chainmail burn into his skin. (5 damage)
The dryad reaches out a hand and casts Entangle on the earth surrounding the two Steam Mephits. Vines reach out of the ground and wrap around the two elementals and they become restrained despite their incorporeal nature.
Twig growls in frustration that she can’t help her companions and fight the steam beasts at the same time. Using her Feline Agility, Twig runs to try and skewer both beasts in one shot.
After releasing her arrow, Twig runs to take partial cover behind a stone in the fairy ring, knowing that her actions may make her look cowardly, but also knowing that her bow might soon be the only thing left to defend her companions.
Twig runs with incredible speed to line up her bow with both elementals. Her arrow strikes both perfectly through the center, causing one of them to explode into a cloud of fiery steam and the other to hiss in pain and panic at being alone and surrounded without any avenue of escape. Luckily, the Steam Mephit was flying high enough off the ground that the prone Rad wasn't further injured by the steam.

Garth heroically charges the Steam Mephit and slashes cleanly through its neck. Unfortunately, the Steam Mephit is made of vapor and didn't lose its head. It did, however, scream in pain and rage at the strike. It immediately lashed out at the Fighter with its vaporous claws, but found them blocked by Garth's shield.
The Dryad ran over to the Steam Mephit, cast shillelagh, and bashed the elemental in the head. 5.
The Steam Mephit exploded into a cloud of fiery death, dealing 8 to Garth while the dryad hopped out of the way.

(All of the Dryad's speech is in Elvish, I'm assuming that Twig translates.)
The Dryad leaped into the air and whooped. She spun around on one foot and beamed at the adventurers. "You did it! You saved me! Oh. We should help your companions." The Dryad walked over and began stuffing handfuls of Goodberries into the mouths of Cor and Rad. They came back to consciousness and the Dryad continued speaking. "You were very courageous and brave. I had no idea there were Steam Mephits in there! I thought it was just a Merrow!" She shouted something unintelligible into the air that you can only describe as the sound of freedom. She spoke normally again, "I told you I would give you a reward. Wait here." The Dryad bounded off into the trees and disappeared. She seemed filled with energy and joy, now that she had her grove back. While she was gone, all manner of small forest creatures began appearing. You hadn't noticed their absence until they started approaching the pond from all over. Small rabbits and squirrels and chipmunks and birds all began appearing to drink from the pond. One particularly fearless chipmunk approached Twig and looked at her with what can only be described as gratitude before climbing up her pant leg and crawling into her pack. It came out a moment later with some nuts from her rations and began munching on it while sitting atop her shoulder.

Twig is surprised by the actions of this woodland creature. Perhaps it thinks I’m a fairytale princess? Dehydration will really addle the mind.
Twig moves to her injured companions and immediately does anything she can to help make them comfortable, starting by refilling all of the water skins. Twig has a seat near her companions and tries to lure the chipmunk off her shoulder and onto her hand. It ends up on her head. Twig sighs in defeat, but can’t help but appreciate its spunk.

The Dryad returned a moment later and approached Rad. "You are very excellent at bleeding. This is not a skill that should be mastered. Until you learn to not bleed, wear this." She places an amulet around Rad's neck. "And, since you came here for water. You may take this with you." She takes a pitcher and fills it with water from the pond and hands it to Cor reverently. "Please be careful with this. It's the only thing that kept us alive while that... thing was here." She smiles again after a moment and skips off into the trees.
A moment later, her face popped out of a tree again. "Oh. You are welcome to camp here tonight. But after that, you must leave. Unless... one of you wants to stay and be my protector?" She asks shyly.
Again, this is all in Elvish and I assume Twig translates.
(This is a good point to ask how everyone thinks the game is going. If any of you want to quit the game for whatever reason; too busy, it's boring, don't like PBP, no time, not fun, etc. I can write you out of the story and make you the Dryad's champion/mate or whatever and have the story still flow organically. Don't worry about feeling like you have to stick around and keep playing if it isn't working out for whatever reason. This is supposed to be fun for everyone. So if you aren't having fun, just let me know. Or just tell the Dryad that you'll be her protector. Hah.)
The Dryad looks befuddled. "Isn't it obvious? The amulet is a Periapt of Wound Closure and that is a Decanter of Endless Water. I took them from the last adventurers who tried to use my tree for firewood." She says, smiling cheerfully.
