D.O.R.K rolls her head about to look up at Devin with dimly lighted eyes. "That seems... inefficient. But, understood." She slides her body into an upright position and declares,"I will seek out more information regarding the keep, its defenses, and whether there is a readily available means to resupply." She stated with uncommon confidence, at least as of late, before turning to Mullo. "Would you like to join me, Aco-...... Mullo? This may be an opportunity to to learn more about the societal structure of the keep, so that you may be better prepared in the future."
Her head then rotates to face Ilnezya with an inhuman suddenness. "I would extend this offer to you as well, Dusk Warden."
Mullo, having finished her meal and beverage, scowls at the construct. "I will accompany you. It would please Uthgar for me to learn more about you outsiders."
Ilezenya considers the construct for a full three seconds before nodding an acknowledgement, downing the rest of his drink, and standing. His newly acquired cloak swirled around him as if caught in a faint breeze and shimmered ever so slightly in the light of the fire and lanterns. "Yes, a Warden should know his surroundings and those he would protect. Even if they do not ask for it..." he finishes, more to himself.
As they are preparing to depart and head into the town, he addresses the rest of the table. "Does anyone have any specific requests for supply? Winter clothing, or perhaps more ammunition? Perhaps those who remain in the Inn can inquire about the purchase or trade for provisions?"
"Winter clothing is all I need. I can supply food for survival. Perhaps climbing gear if we are heading into the mouintains."
After a night of drinking if nothing disturbs them Devin will head out in the morning to seek a shop to buy winter clothing and any other supplies the others say they need.
D.O.R.K nodded curtly to Mullo, but would cant her head at Illnezya's and the rest the groups' response, presuming for the moment a miscommunication. However, she promptly dismiss the thought with a subtle shake of the head, and linger only long enough for any final exchange. After which, it is straight out the door for the construct, and with every intent on asking any guardsman from the start about local provisoners, followed by a request to know who was in charge of the keep.

The next morning – some more bleary eyed than others – after a night of carousing in which Harshnag demonstrated a particularly melodious baritone whereas Ebonitus proved that he couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket the party goes looking for the winter clothing they’ll need. As they step out of ‘The Falling Orc’ they can see the various mountains of the Spine of the World – which despite being over 100 miles away the sheer height of some of the peaks (over 20,000 feet) – dominating the village. Harshnag looks up “aye that’s where we’re heading once you’ve got all you need. But where we’re heading is moving so you’ve got the day to get your stuff!” The party – well those who are going shopping – head off for what passes in the village as the store. They turn a corner and there is a wooden building with a sign saying ‘The Real Macy’s’ above the door. As they enter they can see that it is festooned with all sorts of equipment and clothing which appears to be well made. A very fat Halfling walks out from somewhere in the back of the store bows to them and says “welcome to Real Macey’s finest emporium this side of the Spine of the World, I’m Macy what can I help you with?”

(Oh, uh, guess we're skipping straight to next morning. :S Belay the exploration!)
"We require provisions necessary for a trip up to the mountains that form the Spine of the World. Up to, but not limited to Cold Weather clothing, rations for several days, and hiker's boot."Dork plainly replies with her hands folded over one another just behind the back. As she spoke, she lets her gaze wonder the shelves of the store, not really searching for anything in particular, but curious all the same of receiving some divine inspiration in the wares by seeming happenstance.
Ilezenya also looks over the shop and the wares on display. He wasn't too concerned about shelter or fire starters since he knew the ritual to construct a safe place to sleep and warm up each day. But he would look to replenish any spell components that were used for the more powerful spells Selune granted...
OOC: i'm assuming you're all there - pls advise if not.
"We require provisions necessary for a trip up to the mountains that form the Spine of the World. Up to, but not limited to Cold Weather clothing, rations for several days, and hiker's boot." D.O..R.K. baldy states to the halfling. Devin - the most perceptive of the party sees the halfling quickly do a head count and there is a flash of avarice in his eyes - before he turns to D.O.R.K. "most definitively I can fit out you out with what you need, The Real Macy's is the best emporium in this region. Now let me see that is five sets of winter clothing, rations for seven days and hiking footwear - yes?"He goes to the clothing racks and rummages among them muttering to himself before coming back to the party and presenting the clothes and boots. He goes into a long spiel about the quality of the material, the soundness of the stitching, etc etc. As the party is trying on the various items he goes off and starts collecting provisions which he then brings back to the party and explains how it is high energy food "there is even a special substance called chokolart that i have imported specially from Calimshan" he goes onto say "here try a piece"handing out a bit the size of a fingernail to anybody that wants to try this chokolart.
He then pulls out his abacus and starts moving the beads back and forth muttering to himself "I can do the whole lot for 250 dragons"

"I think you can do better than that." The half-drow says after examining the shopkeeper and then the material. "You obviously think we are some bumbling young travelers off for an adventure in the mountains, where we will soon be dissuaded by the elements or killed by them. And so you try to sell us your cast-off material at exorbitant prices knowing we either won't come back or will claim that only your equipment kept us alive and we should be grateful. But we are neither inexperienced nor newbs. So, how about we talk about the REAL cost of this equipment..."
Devin nods in agreement. "Cold weather gear includes boots and gloves and can't be more than 10 dragons each. Crampons for our boots maybe 2 dragons each for a set? As for rations I can provide all the food we need. Yours seems overpriced."
"I'll try a piece of that Chokolart", Responds Ebonitus. He then inspects the clothing to determine its quality, to get some idea as to its value and effectiveness. He remains quiet with respect to the bargaining for the time being.

D.O.R.K, for her part, stood off to the side, quietly considering the wears and trusting the more streetwise Devin to handle negotiations. Ilnezya as well, if only by extension. But in thinking of Mullo, the living construct had looked up and warily regarded tribeswoman, leery of cross "culture" attitudes of trading possibly flaring up in the heat of the moment. If Mullo seemed calm though, then... D.O.R.K would be the same in posture, if nothing else.

Mullo steps up to also inspect the gear, but out of curiosity rather than appreciation. She scowls at the thick leather and furs and especially the strange footwear. She picks up a boot and examines it closely, finally putting it down with an uncustomary look of interest. She doesn't, however, join in on the verbal bartering.
Macy looks shocked at Devin's counter offer and then once again pulls out the abacus muttering to himself as he moves the beads back and forth before tuning back to the party saying "so you' don't want high quality and high energy rations but hey who am I to say that man can not live on bread? How about 100 dragons for five sets of high quality winter gear alone - a price at which i'll be robbing my grandchildren of their inheritance!"
"I sincerely doubt your grandchildren have much to fear regarding their inheritance. Throw in a set of crampons for each of us and I'll give you 75 dragons for the lot. I'm still overpaying mind you but that's my best offer." Devin says.
"80 dragons, done. But if they become beggars it will be from their own lack of motivation to take care of themselves not from a lack of subsidizing from you I am sure." Devin counts out the coins to the man and directs the others to get their set of cold weather gear and crampons. "A pleasure doing business with you. Perhaps some of my companions still wish to purchase your rations but I am all set. A good day to you."
Taking his gear he heads out of the shop to meet back up with Harshnag and the others.
"Ready to go."
80 gp removed from sheet and cold weather gear and crampons added.
D.O.R.K watched the last of the exchange with wrapt attention, what with her worries of Mullo being assuaged for the moment. As an almost after thought, she'd look to Ilnezya, assuming he'd entered as well. With all being well there as well(hopefully), the living construct unhesitatingly followed Devin and the rest back outside, tightly holding her bundle of gear until granted a moment to put it away.
"I... am, yes."She would say a touch haltingly initially. But if questioned on the slip, she immediately shakes her head and add, "It is..",but again, could not bring herself to answer. At least not in so direct a manner. So in such an instance, she would look up to Harshnag and ask, "Would the way to our next destination be accessible for Golemogote? The elephant we've been using as transportation up until now."
