"So," Ebonitus says to the smithy, "you seem to have taught them to understand how to turn up and down the heat, what are the words that you have taught him to do this and have you taught him anything else?"
The old dwarf just says "laddie ah hae nae taught him anythin', a'm juist talking tae him in wurds he kens. If yi'll waant it hotter ye say 'yukari' 'n' if yi'll waant it cooler ye say 'asagi'! That is a'."
"Ta,"says Ebonitus, "I'll remember that. We'll be heading off shortly, so I'll be back to take Mambo out of the town as the last thing we do." to Mambo he communicates using the helm, "We will be leaving shortly, I'll be back once I have collected my things and we are ready to go." Then Ebonitus returns to the rest of the party to sort out any final requirements before they leave.

Or do you think we should bring him with us. The smithy is happy to keep him here. Let me know your opinion before we depart. Collecting Mambo from the forge, or letting him know he can stay for a while, is the last thing I will do before we depart."
"There is always a possibility of trouble wherever you go, Ebonitus." D.O.R.K replied frankly. "But, while it may be convenient to have Mambo around in the event of extreme freezing temperatures, it is liable that he would do more harm than good, especially given our limited ability to communicate with him in an emergency that may come with your incapacitation. Not to mention being a bright beacon in possibly more ways than one." She explained before looking to the others. "But that is my analysis."

"As we head into the mountains, there is less material to sustain the elemental - if it needs fuel, that is. But agree that it may be best to leave it here and do some good for these people."
The party leaves the next morning – sans Mambo - and start to climb into the Spine of the World. The nights are well below freezing and they are thankful for the thick winter clothing they’ve brought with them. The days are also getting shorter and by about the fourth day, even the day time temperatures are below freezing. It doesn’t take them long to realise that both Golemogote and Mambo would have been a distinct liability. Over the next ten day they wend their way deeper into the mountains which loom over them and are perpetually snow-capped. Every now and then they hear the boom of avalanche somewhere deep in the mountains. Highharvestide comes and goes and on their ninth day of travel it starts to snow.
Late on their tenth day of Travel they come around the edge of a mountain and directly in front of them they can see a causeway – approximately 40 feet wide – crossing a valley. Sheer cliffs plunge hundreds of feet to the valley floor. “Well there it is – the Eye of the All Father” Harshnag states. In the snow covering the causeway the party can make out what appear to be fresh tracks heading into the complex.
Each night on the trip into the Spine of the World, Ilezenya performs the same ritual, bringing a hemisphere of force to spring up around the party and providing a safe, warm, dry, and comfortable place to sleep. He calls it 'Glamping.' (Ritual casting Leomund's Tiny Hut!)
As they approach the Eye of the All Father, the Dusk Warden's keen eyes take in every detail, which he will report back to the others. (300' darkvision with a 17 passive perception =)He also whispers a prayer to Selune to open his eyes and ears to danger, to hone his reflexes, and grant him speed and strength. (Using Vigilant Blessing to gain advantage on the next initiative roll.)
"Seems this is a busy place out here in the middle of nowhere. Who else could be out here?" Devin says while shielding his eyes and looking out at the place.
"I can create an invisible, magical eye that allows me to receive visual information from it. I can move it as far as I want as long as it stays on this plane of existence. I can scout out the interior so there are no surprises."
Despite the protection of the dome whenever the terrain presumably allowed for it, D.O.R.K is ever adamant about maintaining a watch. If not for safety's sake, then at least to make sure noone's edge grew dull in the relative safety. Or, so anyone would be able to insight from the dutiful construct. Just as she is unfalteringly in making sure to share her goddess' Vigor(level 3) to Devin, Ebonitus, and Herself. A tradition unbroken even for the present day.
"Purpose... no... Red Pawn.... no... Tiny? Hmm.... No, that doesn't fit either..."And on she whispered quietly for a few moments more, before the conversation about the living construct finally turned her attention back on the present. "... Understood, Devin. Once we are across causeway and made it to the pillar, then do so. This area is far too open to wait for a sensor even with a live report. And falling back to a different location is liable to make so that we may not be able to reliable act on any intel given in due time."She said, before seeming to remember herself, bowed her head slightly and added. "Or so this one would advise."
She then turns to Mullo, and without raising her head by much asks, "Can you tell us anything about the tracks, Mullo, as I imagine your skills in the area would be far greater than of ours."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The trek north does not loosen Mullo's tongue. In fact, because the precipitation has turned to snow, the wild woman's relative silence is almost unending. She dutifully wears the cold weather clothing, but does not bundle up in it as if the cold does not bother her as much as it does the others. Some of her leathers' ornamentation is still visible through the open front of her furred coat. She remains Haetone's constant companion except while sleeping. But like Dork, the Uthgardian still takes her turn keeping watch at night, which she does in the pegasus's company.
When Dork asks her about the tracks, Mullo bends down to get a closer look.
The Eye of the All-Father - Day 2, First Ten-day, Marpenoth (Leaffall)
It is about 120 feet across the stone causeway to what the party can make out is a stone dome supported by six pillars - a portico - which appear to be carved with some sort of figures. It is difficult to make out much details but the carvings would appear to be giants of some sort. Mullo is able to work out that the tracks are of eight humans and relatively fresh and they lead up onto the portico.
The party makes their way across the 40 foot wide causeway - Devin, D.O.R.K., Ebonitus and Ilezenya lead followed by Mullo mounted on Haetone. Harshnag brings up the rear - if asked why he is not in front he simply replies "I promised to bring you here - what you learn from it will be up to you!"
As the party approaches the portico they can see that the figures are in fact giants carved in bas-relief as follows: a hill giant lifting a rock above its head, a frost giant chopping down a great pine, a cloud giant flying among birds in the sky, a flying storm giant hurling lightning bolts at a ship, a stone giant climbing a mountain, and a fire giant with chained dwarf prisoners in a cavern. At the back of the portico a 40-foot-wide, 40-foot-high hallway heads east into the mountain. Wind has blown the snow far into the hallway and the tracks can be seen disappearing into the darkness.
"So," Ebonitus says to the smithy, "you seem to have taught them to understand how to turn up and down the heat, what are the words that you have taught him to do this and have you taught him anything else?"

Mullo continues to scowl down at Devin as he graciously declines her coin. She finally closes her fingers and gives him a curt nod.
Ilezenya puts the cold weather gear in his pack, checks the load of his weapons and other gear, and stands ready to depart.

He looks around at the others. "Well, lets get moving. We came all this way, lets see what there is to see."
Mullo mounts Haetone and rides in the rear, tall enough to see over the heads of the others, and also ready to act should danger present itself.
