To Grem: "It's ok, big guy. You just thought we might be in danger and couldn't bear the though of somebody imperiling little old me who you love to the moon and back! My hero (kisses grem on the cheek). Next time let's just kill and rob if we need something and avoid all of the unnecessary drama, k?!"
At Morgana's suggestion, you all check your inventory and find that almost all of you have about 250 gold pieces missing from your belongings. You check your bags and each of you find a scribbled note from Elhutz...
It doesn't take much searching for you to find that he's left the small box! Probably saw his payment from your pockets a fair trade to leave this in your possession. That which has only brought him suffering in the Underdark.
"More...stealing...from....COMRADS!!" screams morgana! "That little faggot is worse than Elmo!! We must track him down and extract our vengeance from his miserable hide! I'm gonna make what I did to that last drow we captured look like a ******* tickle!! Who's with me?" Investigation check to see if I can ascertain which way the elf went. 8
And I'm still waiting to see if Glab saw which way he went.
Glabbagool responds to Morgana with a denial of any knowledge related to Elhutz' whereabouts or his activities during the night. Glabbagool says that he was not paying any attention to those who were on watch, and instead was exploring around the area for new information to learn.
Morgana's Investigation check: Furious, the Tiefling looks around for tracks left behind by a masterful Elven Rogue who would intentionally do everything in his skillset to cover up any indications of where he might have headed to. Once she recognizes this fact, Morgana accepts that she will not learn the direction that Elhutz took next.
Hemeth walks over to the box...very cautiously. Slowly he leans forward to see the box more closely. The runes that had once been hidden from all but the Duerger are now firmly set and no longer shifting or re-writing themselves.
Hemeth - “By the Gods! The runes...” he stops before finishing his sentence to catch his breath. “These runes read: Only the worthy may approach me. You who have proven yourself of strong mind, come. We have much to discuss. -Themberchaud.
Hemeth, waking to find that his belongings are untouched, hears Leon ask about Themberchaud.
Hemeth - “Themberchaud, the Wyrmsmithe is the Red Dragon that keeps the forges of Gracklstugh lit.” He says with a strong voice as if speaking of legend worthy of the title. “If this box truly does belong to him, we would be wise to return it.”
With no indication of where Elhutz has gone and no other choice in front of the adventurers other than to press ahead to Gracklstugh, where at least now they have something of seemingly immeasurable value to one of the most prominent figureheads of the city, they begin their day's march.
For what seems like hours, they continue on and engage in light dialogue, mostly between Leon and the various other group members, as he's the newest one to join their ranks and the least that they know about.
Elmo, who leads the group a number of yards ahead and being as stealthy as he possibly can be, also while moving at a slow pace due to Glabbagool's top speed, hears something up ahead! The cavern that they're emerging from, into a slightly more open space, is single-file. The slightly larger opening has more room for 2, maybe 3 to stand abreast.
"Moradins shadows Lad... what ye do master fink? (Looking around and seeing the spell be cast) ye know this reminds me a a time back in adbar... (he shuts up noticing everyone else staying quiet) "
Elmo sneaks ahead carefully...looking at the ground for any indication of creatures and listening closely for movements that might give clues as to what's up ahead. The tracks are easy for Elmo to identify with his excellent observation skills. They look like some prime ape...no, at least two apes have been through here recently. They look pretty large by the size of their tracks, too. The noises coming up from ahead sound like they're moving about. Definitely not sleeping, that's for sure! What manner of creature they are exactly would be impossible to tell. Elmo isn't familiar with this particular Underdark resident...nor does he pride himself on being the nature guide for this forsaken place!

Gremryl checks his pockets..
"Moradins balls.... I knew I should of broken his puny arm!! Twas frail and weak! And now me gold is missing... by the balls..is everyone ok?"
"What's in that box!..hemmeth check it for duergar writing ya?"
Hemeth walks over to the box...very cautiously. Slowly he leans forward to see the box more closely. The runes that had once been hidden from all but the Duerger are now firmly set and no longer shifting or re-writing themselves.

Leon wakes and speaks with Stool shortly in private. Leon joins the group in looking at the box at Hemeth finishes his translation.
Leon reads the note from Lhutz
I'll read my note as well.
Gremryl reads his note
"Ye put someone in a dwarven switch and all of a sudden they call you a drow.. moradins blessings. I lost me gold too. "
"Might be some coin in returning eh! Seems I'm 'needing to add' to the bank of Gremryl!"
" Let's be off then.. the Elf is gone and I'm of no mind to linger. "
"Agreed. Let's haul ass ye motley crew of scoundrels!"
What does the party do?!
We are not doing anything until Elmo moves into the chamber to report back on what is making the noise.
Leon moves through the group casting guidance on everyone. Leon waits for Elmo to return and casts pass without trace on everyone.
"Moradins shadows Lad... what ye do master fink? (Looking around and seeing the spell be cast) ye know this reminds me a a time back in adbar... (he shuts up noticing everyone else staying quiet) "
He whispers "Elmo..."
