Azrael gives up on trying to glean anything else from the room. He instead joins Raik at the doorway, and assists him in keeping an eye out by watching the other direction, so Raik can keep his focus on the other.
I just wished to tell you.... he says, as he watches... I sense a kindred path we walk. Perhaps our roads are different, but they are near enough that we can see each other walking it. You know, when I was younger, in my cloister of a village, before I followed the path I do now... i was an outsider to all but my family, and my village elders. I are a .. share a mixed heritage. I have the blood of evil, and the blood of good flowing through my veins.
He paused, having thought he saw something.... would look out..... squinting his eyes against the layers of black on black as he could not see much at all in the darkness 11 (Ha 18 with roll at DISADVANTAGE)
Azrael would nod, as Raik responded. Indeed. i only stopped because i thoguht I saw a shadow. .but with how blind I am right now, it's hard to tell if its just my eyes playign tricks. I never let it get to me, mostly due to ignorance. But because of it, people in my tribe, village.. whatever you wish to name it would leave me alone. I wasn't attacked, I was feared, because of the 'potential' danger I held. I could decide that darkness was the path I would walk.
Obviously, I did not. Instead, i used it to my advantage. Fear. I would find those who bullied others.... or used power to lord over others.. though of course I'm speaking of just children, so I did not harm them unless I had to. But I helped those who could not help themselves.. eventually leading me to my calling. I act more like a paladin of retribution that a sorcerer! In any case, what it boils down to, is I will hunt down those who prey on the weak for their own gain alone. Humanoid, or abomination like these vampires we heard of. SOme here have seen how I become, but they've yet to see me truly destroy something that I felt deserved it.
(it's only an ordeal because of .au timezones :p )
Danitriel quickly pulled a cloth out of her backpack that had a magic circle drawn on it and placed it on the ground. The sword went into the center of the circle and Dani sang softly.
With a delicate move kind of shifty and smooth A shadow has covered the light Then a beam in the shade from a silvery blade Has shattered the edge of the night
Reveal to me the truth and the light an enchantment cloaked in midnight

Dani becomes aware of a vision. An orc holding the sword. He can’t let it go. Any attemp he made to pry the sword out of his hand resulted in it returning to his grip. In panic, he cut off his hand.
The sword is cursed! It is a -1 Longsword of Derpy McFumbles! Anything or anyone touching the sword cannot let it go, no matter what. The unseen servant’s form jerks ragid in alarm.
Danitriel facepalms. "Yup. Cursed sword. A Longsword of Clumsiness that returns to the user's hand. Standard operating procedure in cases like these is to cast Remove Curse and dispose of or destroy the blade. Does anyone know said spell?"
Alessandra shakes her head. "Would be quite a waste of magic anyways, I think." She finally moves from the place she stood and started to head out back towards the main intersection again. "While you all circle jerk figure it out, I'll be at the crossway, waiting."
Impatient as always.
"Hush it." She mumbles to herself.

With the noise of a piano falling off a three story building, Lythril asks Dani her question. If there was anything on either end of the hallways, they're alert to your presence. What you can tell, Dani girl, is that the east hallway looks a bit more cleaner than the west hallway - as if the west hallway might have some sort of beast living that way.

Before they left the room, Azrael would tear a piece of paper from his pack, and write down a little note on it that says Cursed sword, unable to remove if picked up. Do not touch. and drops it near the sword, before taking a small rock from his component pouch and placing it on the note to keep it from blowing away.
There... a happy medium. We don't waste magic, and some other poor soul doesn't lose his hand.

Ra'iik responds to Azrael, however without looking at him. He instead keeps watching the hallway and the group.
"Yes! I also have mixed blood of alignment. Recognition of that is a powerful tool indeed."
Ra'iik looks at Az. "Just remember, it's not so much about where we come from, but what we do in this moment which defines us."
