You notice off in the distance, what appears to be a tiny snake with wings flying towards the city. Down the road, you hear cheerful music coming from a farmhouse.
@Zaroc
You also hear the music but do not see the snake.
@Briar
You mostly stare at the dirt road, and the surrounding plants by the edge of the road, thoughts of your sister distracting you from your surroundings.
Briar looks at the others reactions and or comments neither hearing or seeing anything herself, "I don't see or hear anything, let alone music. As I see it, I am more concerned with a possible ambush or something along those lines... but music is something I consider benign and I thought time was of the essence so unless its a boat then I am not sure that it is something worth wasting any more time on but knock yourselves out. I will stay here on the road and keep an eye on the old man."
The music is faint, off in the distance, it symbolizes your journey along the road is taking past someone's home, or homes. Though the landscape is vast and rural, there are houses and clusters of 2 to 3 houses, throughout the area situated between the split of the main Southwest river, just Northeast of Absoli. This area is extremely fertile, hence it being used as farmland. As you continue down the road, the Light Giver fades as night approaches, and the chirping of birds has ceased, the music becoming louder as you approach the house along the road. It is a rather large farm house, and there appears to be a small number of people playing instruments on the front porch. Behind the house is a large barn, and behind that, fields of grain and other crops. Along the road, there are a few trees hear and there, and overgrowth just along the edge of the road, but nothing more than 3ft tall shrub wise. Occasionally you spot a field mouse or rat scurry across the road, and as dusk aproaches, you hear cyotes yipping and howling in the distance.

Briar hangs back just a bit but keeps up with others as she starts looking aroundSurvival24 for a suitable campsite for the night. Something that appears vacantwithout crops or such, not fenced in or otherwise not looking like the plot that may belong to someone who may complain or take exception to strangers on their property. The Hedge Witch eyeing the area along the road the group spotted... there are a few trees here and there, and overgrowth just along the edge of the road, but nothing more than 3ft tall shrub wise, that looks like if cleared a bit that it might fit the bill well enough!
You find a nice tree not far from the edge of the road, to your left, with nothing but grass and flowers around it. The tree is tall enough to be used as a vantage point if anyone dares to climb it, You do however notice some sort of nest high up in the tree, belonging to birds or insects, difficult to tell based on the surrounding branches.
Briar ignores the nest, being a vegetarian, so is not interested in nests, birds, bird eggs or insects so contents herself around the general area to look for and scrounge up any wild berries, mushrooms or the like to eat as she gathers up fallen branches and such to make a small campfire.

"You want to sleep here, in the open? I will not sleep in the bushes unless there is a body of water. It just seems cruel, but I guess we have no choice." Ducolis will try and look for a body of water nearby the camp site.
Terrance looks at Ducolis confused "You can hear the music, there is clearly a choice. You could go over there and ask to stay the night, fish brains." Terrance rolls his eyes.
"However I have no problem camping out under the stars. Gives us a quicker response if evil breaks are rest once again." Terrance starts to help Briar set up camp.
Terrance doesn't mention the winged snake as he sees little the party could do about it.
Briar smiles at Terrance, "you are kind one, helping me set up camp... but if you would rather check out the farmhouse, I can handle things myself. Just don't expect me to do much cooking... I have trouble with the smell of meat cooking I'm afraid."Briar continues collecting firewood making sure they have enough for nice fire all night and for the men to roast some meat or something if needed, making sure her bedroll is upwind to avoid the smell.
Briar gives Hanzo a wide grin when he goes to help out and playfully attempts to bust his balls a bit, "what... you too? You mean you are not interested in going to investigate the neighbors, see if there isn't some buxom young farmgirl lurking about in need of rescue?" Laughing a bit then adds, "I am just giving you a hard time, you are much too handsome... and brave for any simple farmgirl... its a Princess for you or nothing if I have anything to say about it!"
Gaining Hanzo's attention now... Briar points up at the bird's nest, "if socializing doesn't appeal to you then, you might want to check the tree before it gets too dark, get the lay the land up there for any roaming bands of Yuan-Ti headed our way, maybe see if there is a body of water close by for Ducolis and also see if there are any bird eggs to collect that you can cook up for your breakfast in the morning."

"I don't have any interest in princesses or farmgirls, I'm only interested in honest, strong, loyal women, no matter what walk of life they come from. Besides, I think you all could use my help more than them." Hanzo gives Briar a smile, then eyes the nest she pointed out trying to figure out what the nest belongs to
All that you can tell is that the nest is a round ball of some sort. It is pretty high up, and surrounded by limbs. The only thing that makes it stand out in the dimming light is the round shape among the long slender branches.

“Well I say we investigate! A bit of companionship and maybe even ale in your stomach never hurt anyone!” Glancing back to see who is following, Zaroc begins to move toward the farm house along the trail.
He looks around to see if there are any other townsfolk around or at least some clues to their race or lifestyle as he nears the building
As you approach the house, you see that the people on the front porch appear to be human, a woman playing a guitar, a man playing a horn, and another woman playing a hand drum. The house is painted a light shade of yellow, with white trim. It is in good condition, smoke rises from the chimney, and you see a dog meandering around the front yard. The barn also appears to be well built, painted red with white trim. At a distance there appears to be nothing malicious about these people, just simple farmers celebrating with music after a hard days work.

You do not see any water anywhere around the camp. Just fields and that farmhouse and barn.
