Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
Are you stocking up on Inspiration? You shouldn't have more than one at a time.
The last inspiration was 2 weeks ago (real-time), and was immediately used at the start of the Grick battle ( post 1746 ).
If you decide it is too soon for another inspiration, that is fine. But you can understand why I'd like an edge in what is probably a boss-fight.

No, inspiration is meant to be free to get whenever you can roleplay your traits, bonds, etc... You just use this mechanic the most and I'm not keeping track of when you use them up.
Gladly granted. I hope the others make use of it too.
Speaking of which...
@Skameros: You should have a second personality trait, not just one.
I have difficulty 'begging' for inspiration but that's just my honest opinion - so that's why you haven't seen me try to ask for it - I prefer to just let the fickle fate of the dice drive my story for good or bad.
and I added another personality trait - just more flavor to add to his backstory than of practical use though.
It's not begging. It's me rewarding you for role playing to your personality traits. It's a bit much for me to keep track of every post you all make and compare it to your traits to determine if you deserve inspiration or not. It's you helping me keep track of everything.
There are two ways out of here. Back the way you came, along the trail through the zurkhwoods, but the zurkhwoods appear to be thrumming with tension. The other way is along the path to the east where Yestabrod came from.
Hold Person targets humanoids. Spore Servants are considered "plants". But I imagine they have the form of a humanoid since they spawn from creatures, in the case of Tozer, a dwarf.
I really don't know how to rule this, so I'll obviously allow it. But it would be interesting to know what you all think or know.

I agree, this is a fuzzy area, and has good arguments either way. This does seem more like an infection growing on top of the humanoid (Tozer), so I would think the spell would be effective. If it was like "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", where a plant copies the form of a humanoid, that would be different.

Yah I really wasn't sure on this one either. Figured it was originally a humanoid, so it was worth trying, and narstin may or may not actually know if it would work or not. But I wasn't sure how being turned into a spore servant would affect it.
Beegred has poison resistance (stout halfling), so he took 14 damage total instead of 17.

Don't peek:
Not a great insult, but Beegred is freaked out.

@Rodolfo:
Did you intend to move somewhere?
Rodolfo wants to get out, yes.. which I assume is the way we came, but maybe not.

Yeah.. this encounter has definitely gone way below expectations on the dice side for us.

I just realized that Spore Servants are immune to the paralyzed condition. So freebie is over, Tozer is visibly moving.
This dice roller hates us.....sorry Rodolfo - hopefully someone can help you
