As a former soldier, Beegred would mix with the drunk patrons.
But he would try to steer clear of the belligerent drunks (don't fight with the locals when on leave) and don't drink too much (don't want to get rolled and sleep in a ditch).

Does Beegred or Narstin want to add anything to the conversation regarding the drow chasing your group? Rodolfo role played it perfectly, but the two of you know more than he does.

I put in a comment in the main thread.
I think that is accurate. If it is wrong, that is due to Beegred misremembering (and likewise me), not deliberate deception about those specific details.

Your post is fine, in the context of what Beegred knows. However, to clarify the story if I failed to explain it properly, the drow are not the only slavers in the underdark. The Duergar will also capture other creatures for slavery, and other races will abuse prisoners to do acts of slavery until they die, very often living a short life. I forget how many escaped slaves your party came across (my other party rolled that encounter A LOT...) but not all slavers are drow.
Also, drow or duergar hunting for slaves is nothing new in the underdark. It doesn't explain the rise in missing caravans, unless for some reason those hunters are becoming very successful to an alarming and unexplained degree.
I will let Narstin have a chance to contribute before I respond to the news of Neverlight Grove.
Silver is silver. You'd need a smith, or a party member with the appropriate proficiency to apply it to your weapons. Unless one of you can find mechanics in one of the source books for silvering a weapon, then I'll rule that plating a weapon that is not originally silver would not be permanent.
Thanks for doing the homework. So it seems to be permanent, but as you said, expensive.
We can afford to silver one of Skameros' axes (one without acid damage), but we don't have the materials for the smiths.
I was hoping the gnomes would mention they had plenty of weapon-grade silver, but no such luck. :-)

Maybe.. Rodolfo would like to talk to someone who knows arcane magic, but it seemed like they have none, especially by the description that the initial group set out apparently without any?
But on the other hand they somehow summon earth elementals.. so who does that? It might be in-character discussion, but I'm trying to clarify if I got the message correct - that there's actually nobody who knows arcane magic?
Not that it all has to happen in the same night either, could very well leave it for morning.
No, they do have priests, the current leader of which you will meet the next day: Nomi Pathshutter.
But none of the gnomes are high levels so they won't have access to spells higher than the ones you currently have. That is what my text was trying to imply.
But on the other hand they somehow summon earth elementals.. so who does that?
Did we decide which of these all-terrible choices we were going to try first?
If the party is going to investigate the madness of the earth elementals, then we should talk to the people who are summoning them. Maybe they have some insight into what is happening, that the (non-spell-casting) leaders wouldn't be aware of.

Skameros is still soaking in the hot spring - anyone is free to join him - but it smells like sulfur and wet dog
Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...

Do we have any silver coins that could be melted down to silver the edges of our weapons? I have one good great axe still and on ooze damaged.

FYI, I am not managing your inventory. So if you're asking me, I don't know.
It was more a general question to the party - but also if we did, would that actually work against the were rats? Or just waste our time.

Right. Depending on how things will go the next day then Rodolfo will try to see if they have found some spell scrolls he can try to buy or trade for.
Assuming you ask Tappy where you could find such things, she will suggest the market.
