How much do the characters know about medusa? I'm wondering if Beegred should scout ahead in the darkness, since creatures using darkvision can't see him (petrifying gaze won't work).
Is the current area enough like the "Underdark" that the ranger's favored terrain will help the party moving around?

Also, Beegred, you can roll perception to see if you notice Skameros sneaking away, for roleplay purposes.
Nah. If his stealth can beat a passive perception of 19, he should enjoy being sneaky.

No I will only scout out as far as I can see them, if I don't see anything else in the cavern I will go check the tunnel and then report back to the party what I've seen.

Tabaxi with a penchant for shenans. He will....shenan again...
Skameros scouts east, staying near the wall of the large cavern (keeps the wall to his right). Seeing nothing, he returns to the party. North-ish is a tunnel that leads downward, that hasn't been explored. And there's the wide open cavern that you haven't fully explored.
As Beegred scouts further east, on the northern side of the cavern, he sees a silhouette in the darkness at the edge of his vision. It doesn't emit light, but at the same time, it is not complete darkness which allows Beegred to see it. This silhouette moves at a leisurely pace as if on some kind of business.
The ranger/gloom stalker ability "Umbral Sight" grants darkvision to 60', so Beegred doesn't need any light to see. As long as he doesn't need to identify colors, the halfling is trying to stay in areas of complete darkness.

I suspect this ghost is a way to get more information about what we will find ahead.
But I could be wrong. That's why I had Beegred consult with the group, in case this is an angry ghost that we should have avoided since we were alerted in advance.

Anything left to say before you go in?

As far as I'm concerned, you are in the underdark, ruined city or not.
As for what you know about a Medusa, roll a History check since you didn't seek the information in Blingdenstone.
Skameros has darkvision up to 60 ft.
You can basically go north, down some stairs in a tunnel, or stay in the large cavern that goes on eastward.
How far, and what direction are you going?
Also, Beegred, you can roll perception to see if you notice Skameros sneaking away, for roleplay purposes.

Skameros will move eastward through the cavern

Do you move beyond your ability to see the rest of your party?
And do the rest of you just wait for Skameros to show up before moving again?
Rodolfo will stay put and wait for the others to wander back to him.
No I will only scout out as far as I can see them, if I don't see anything else in the cavern I will go check the tunnel and then report back to the party what I've seen.

Rodolfo would stay behind the fightery type people and urge them to keep going.
If Beegred wants to scout this time he can

Skameros would have thought the door was just another entrance from Blingdenstone like the one we came in

It did indeed appear to resemble the doors you came through to get to the Rockblight. Same style, same materials, same details.
Which is why he didn't mention it

With the world in a mess, I'm not really pushing to keep this moving. Right now I'm waiting for all of you to decide on a course of action.
