This is why I often prefer play-by-post over live online games.
Gives me more time to look up rules that I only glanced over the first time, or that my memory mangled into something it wasn't. (Kerrec has had to correct me more than a few times.)

If I understand things correctly then Rodolfo cannot do anything useful, right? Or can he move into the space of Narstin, cast a spell and then move back?
Lol, no I'm not cutting you out. You just moved off the map. You can step behind Narstin (10 ft to get to M1) and see everyone except for Beegred and purple.
I hope that critical AoO by Skameros puts down Green, as it would make that 14 damage go away.

Sorry guys, life's been rather busy for a while now. Hopefully I can get back to posting again here. Don't have time tonight, but I'll see if i can start catching up tomorrow.
Sorry, meant M4 (able to attack Purple or Red without moving). I've edited the post in the main thread.

Do we really want to keep fighting stone drow? we still need to deal with the menhir and stone elementals that are supposed to show up when we do that.
I'd like to head back to the Smurf base. Present them with the medusa, and tell them about the magic wind and the attacking stone statues. Not bad for the first foray into the dungeon.
(Beegred is getting low on health, and out of spell slots, so I'm aiming for a long rest.)
The current tactic is to see if we are going to be chased by the statues no matter where we go, or if these statues are guarding just that one cavern.

Yeah, I don't think we need to keep fighting these unless it just doesn't stop. I'm fine with just running... somewhat curious about the arcana checks that all of you failed so far :)
But I agree about heading back, reporting in and resting up.
Lets pull back out, see if they follow and go from there. If they do follow then we might need to either run out or fight them.

That's what I was thinking... especially the "run away!" part.
(When the party is at full health, it might be worth it to visit the statues to grind for experience. But as ArgentTheWise pointed out, higher priority is to make the rock gnomes happier by working on their list of problems.)

One of the reasons I started DM'ing PBP is so I could learn all this stuff.

Definitely puts down Green. The attack vs. Beegred doesn't happen.
Bet you're glad you chose to go RAW for the reach thing. :)

Glad to see you haven't ghosted. I will keep autopiloting Narstin until you let me know you're back and can post regularly.
Beegred will move to M3, and continue attacking Purple?
M3 is occupied by Petrified Drow Red.

Before I set up another round of initiative, what are you all going to do about this situation? You have a moment to make a decision and act.
Note, any hostile action has to be made in initiative order.

I'm all for not wasting our energy fighting these things - when we've got more to deal with at the menhir

It sounds like you're all retreating, so I will go with that.
Hmm I dunno now - 299 to the next level - maybe we CAN take more drow :P
j/k
