(ie. he is ready to level up, when there is a sufficient break).
I've got Narstin at about 700xp away from level (after adding the 300 from last encounter). Not sure if I missed some XP gains somewhere or if Beegred got some that I didn't at some point (or both).
@Kerrec (or anyone else) Do you happen to have a list saved somewhere of what XP you've given out? If not, I can dig through the thread(s) to look myself.

Sorry, but XP is not something I've been keeping track of. Never thought I'd have to.
I'll see how hard it would be to search in the main thread and OOC thread for "XP".
Beegred just inched over the line for 5th level. I know he got a little extra exp early on (while still prisoners of the Drow). And that Rodolfo jumped ahead of everyone when he soloed that ochre jelly.
I would have guessed that Narstin would be closer than 700 back.
If it would be easier to have the party all with the same exp value, or to have the DM decide when to level up, I am willing to go along with that. (Or if people are happy with the way things are, no problem.)

At my live game, I switched to Milestone to alleviate this. It also allowed the party to stop being murder-hobos for the sake of XP. It made a difference, as they stopped trying to solve everything with violence and started focusing on goals to get XP.
They now spend their time trying to purposely find crazy solutions just to make me despair. But it's turned the game from a mechanical slog of find encounter, kill encounter, go find another encounter... to one where they try and one-up themselves to see who has the craziest solution. It has made the game much more fun for me to watch from the outside.
If the elemental fell after those 3 attacks, the party would have never heard the end of his gloating.
(I'm guessing the elemental looks down at the spot that was stabbed 3 times, and casually brushes off some dust.)

If you're obliquely asking how hurt it is, you still did a significant chunk of damage to it. Definitely not scratches. Thank the drow for making that magical sword.

I don't have a list but I'm 299 away from leveling as well - I know we've gotten off cycle for some reason - its fine with me though.

I think Narstin is just missing the 575 from the Medusa.
Thatcould be it
the 575 from medusa leaves me 52 shy of leveling XD. The bit beegred got early on could explain the difference of that much.
Rodolfo will definitely not be using the dagger. Removed it from his inventory. Add it to yours, Quasimodal. It's a regular Dagger, +1

edit: I see Skameros's luck even effects dice he doesn't roll...
Would Rodolfo know what it means that this is a connection to another plane somehow? I as a player don't.
Also - I'm so excited about this!
The important information is that it does not originate from the material plane. There is no other hidden meaning.
I wouldn't say having the elemental come out next to your tank a bad thing - I can be less squishy than say it showing up next to Rodolfo :)

@skameros: Feel free to attack after Beegred. Even with Beegred's fancy-pants 3 attacks, the elemental still stands.

Oh boy did it roll well on those attacks!
Yeah, I noticed that. (Arrgh!!)
