Orubis sees Rodolfo fall and swears under his breath.
Wis save 17
His rat-like features recede and he changes back to his more usual Gnomish appearance. He grasps his box on the string around his neck and whispers “The Mushroom Prince provides.”
A mote of healing energy moves over Rodolfo, as the healing word shapes the magic, healing him for 4
Yes, WIS save to use an action to turn back to your gnome form mid-battle. I'll say a 17 is plenty this time.
But we're going to have to brainstorm how the DC will be established going forward. I don't want it to be up to my whim.
I'm thinking a base of 10. Then:
DC increases by 1 each round of combat
DC increases by 1 each time you are hit with non-magical bludgeoning, piercing or slashing attacks that you shrug off because of your immunity.
This is absolutely open to discussion, from anyone.
(For everyone else: When I allowed lycanthropy as an option, I ruled that changing form and thus alignment causes Orubis to lose the link to his deity, therefore he can't cast cleric spells while in hybrid or rat form. Switching back takes an action and requires a WIS save to be successful.)
The "New or Updated Forum Threads" in the rightmost part of the bar is still working (at least to know what is the most recent post in a thread).
It looks like the Notifications system is finally unclogged, and gradually catching up. The notices are now for 1 day old posts. Hopefully back to normal by tomorrow.

Beegred Thornpost - Lvl 8 Halfling Ranger - Out of the Abyss by Kerrec Drusk - Lvl 8 Half-Orc Life Cleric - The Long Road: Dragon Heist by Mingofaust (player & current DM) Hunferho Aelorothi - Lvl 5 Half-Elf Bard/Rogue - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy) DM - Frontier City of Nunkreet (ended)
(I'd like to make a death saving throw for Rodolfo, because it seems to happen at the beginning of the turn and if it's a nat 20 then he would actually get to do something)
Very good point. Sorry I didn't think that through.

I think that should be okay. I had figured a lower starting DC that increases as he changes more often, but that certainly works. Increase by one per round
Question for the DM, how would you prefer to handle Grithik's familar? Not really worried about it in this combat, as I didn't think of it, but do you want initiative for the familiar or just assume it acts with Grithik?

Earth Elementals are huge creatures and Gargoyles are medium creatures. Both are made of stone and earth. It is not intended that you can carry an entire creature back. You only need to bring back the 'best' piece from each. We'll say that Nomi explained this when she sent you off.
Figuring out what the 'best' pieces are will require arcana or investigation checks. This is a group check, so 2 rolls total. Arcana or Investigation. 2 rolls or one with advantage due to being helped.

Since Rodolfo has a +7 in both of those skills, I vote that he does the roll. (Especially when Skameros and Beegred start putting cave moss and insects into the bag along with the stone fragments.)
Beegred will help out. (He has proficiency in Investigation, and the Observant feat.) Even though he doesn't know what it means, he can pass along the visual details to the guy making the decisions.

In my latest post, when I say, "Pick from various gems", the Stoneheart Enclave has many different kinds and can easily cough up 260 gold worth of any kind. So you can pick and choose what kind of gem you would like to have. Or just take the gold.
Also notifications are broken again in case no one else noticed yet :) the ones I have gotten - are 2 days old

Yeah, I noticed. I've been checking the threads every day, regardless of notifications.

You have a reach of 10ft. Do you want to be in range, or next to the elemental?
I will move next to the elemental - that way it can pound on me instead of the squishies

Yes. Beegred, Rodolfo and Skameros will recognize this ghost.
I'll give you a few hours to roleplay after the ghost before I narrate the return to Nomi.
Yes, the sounds of battle fade as the ghost flees.
